10/2/24 Checking it out to get a dinner treat! Actually got treats! Lol!! They have a HUGE variety! The worker was very kind! Happy to answer any questions. I ended up getting their jalapeño cream cheese croissant, banana nut muffin and a lemon donut at the very end. Had to randomly add that. Paid for the order and that worker was very nice with well wishes!! All donuts look fresh & DELICIOUS!! Small place. Still enough destiny inside if you would like. We ordered the Carne Asada Torta's and mini pizza that not that great the sauce it tasted like tomato sauce from the can. I was disappointed with torta, the meat it tasted like fake meat and for the price, I give thumbs down. The meat part was cold, I just didn't like it at all and I couldn't even finish it I end throwing it away. Good donuts but food needs to go. Just like the old Wendy's commercial that said, "Where's the beef?", I'm wondering, where are the apples? The last three times over the last several months that I have purchased an apple fritter from Yum Yum donuts in Madera, there are no apples. You cannot call it a "apple fritter" if it's not containing apples! If you're going to cheapen and up your product list by removing ingredients that the name is there for the flavor, you can't call it that when you don't add them. I'm going to give them three stars because their service is great. The other donuts are great. But the apple fritter is lackluster. Back in the day when they used to add apples, you could see the apples they were prominent in the dough and they were prominent on top. That nice sweet cinnamony flavor like a hot apple pie. Now it's just dough and sugar that's been in deep fried. Do better YUM YUM! read more

Just passing through and decided me and my wife wanted a donut. She got an apple fritter and I got a slice of carrot cake. Cake was pre sliced and was dry and crusty, I went back in and was told that they buy it pre frozen and they are all like that, was refused a replacement or refund so I threw it away and left. Driving home we tried the fritter that they apparently forgot to add the apple to. Don't waste your money here.... read more

i wish i could leave 0 stars. we went yesterday around 5pm and the lady working there was rolling her eyes, being very rude to us and rushing us. it was our first time there so we kindly asked for a couple minutes to look at the menu, she rolled her eyes and stood behind the counter annoyed. when we did order she asked "what do you want" we asked for an iced coffee and she very aggressively asked what flavor and size and then rolled her eyes again when we asked what options we had. we literally had to ask her to please stop being rude because it was making us uncomfortable. we planned on buying four drinks and a dozen of donuts and ended up just buying one drink and four donuts just to rush out of there. such a terrible experience and as long as she's there we have no plans of going back. read more

Still remember when this place opened up when I was a child. Personally I have never had any issues here donuts always taste fresh and good when I bring my kids. Milk is always cold. Haven't tried any of the sandwiches or smoothies they offer to me it's a donut shop so come for donuts lol. I Will continue to come as it is one of my top 2 favorite donut shop in town. read more

I pass up Yum Yum's on a daily basis to and from work plus back in the day my roommates would always buy this chain of donuts. I've been eyeing this place for awhile and decided to surprise my 3 year old niece with donuts and why not try Yum Yum's. I arrived a little after 5:15pm and the selection of donuts was abundant! They have every donut imaginable, some 24 hour donut places have limited choices in the afternoon but this place is not lacking. I ask how much a dozen was which the employee informed that it is $11.99 for a dozen which I thought was pretty pricy compared to the local mom and pop shops. But I didn't feel like driving around Madera to find another donut shop that would be open so I obliged and ordered glazed, twists, maple and one chocolate bar with a Large cinnamon roll on the side for my dad. It was so hard to choose which donuts to get because they all looked so appetizing. My grand total came to $13. They also serve sandwiches and other goods besides donuts. I personally like my donuts to be crispy and thin with semi sweet glaze these were the opposite. VERY doughy and sweet. I don't like a lot of dough but they were still good. The niece was happy and loves it and so did the rest of the family as well as I. I will probably try out other Madera donut shops or get Pan Dulce because I know they are cheaper! read more

The lady and the gent that I have encountered were very assertive, though the younger kid I did see on one of my visits did seem like he was fairly new and was still in training besides i Have not had any issues coming to this location, Have not had an issue with them running out of donuts... Some donuts are just more popular than others so it's always good to have a few favorites in mind I definitely recommend trying their ice blended drinks and a nice hot day with her summer or spring time I'm sure night time at almost any place has a different kind of crowd around versus during the daytime... Maple bars are supposed to be light and airy. Old fashioned are never hard. Properly prepared donut holes are supposed to be dense. Apple Fritters are sweet but not gooey. This donut shop meets all the criteria. OH YES IT DOES. My diabetic ass has eaten donuts all up & down California and these by far are the best in the Central Valley. Only had the pleasure of eating from here twice and each time they were served warm, both donuts and staff. read more

I've given this place several tries but the donuts aren't great. They advertise cronuts and every time that I've gone they never have them. I work graves and tried getting a bagel with cream cheese twice and the baker once told me they were out and the second time told me he doesn't know how to use the toaster oven. He sounds lazy and full of excuses. read more

Got 2 dozen super fresh donuts for the crew at work, and they were delicious. However, going in at 4am felt a little scary and genuinely unsafe. It's a 24 hour business in a sketchy part of Madera, so there were multiple methheads and vagrants using it to hang out in/around. They are probably homeless with nowhere else to go, but they are going to drive business away. read more

Came to this place today to pick up a few dozen "Christmas doughnuts" for my daughters class. I called about 5 mins before for a heads up, when I showed up they had started my order quickly and the doughnuts were STILL WARM when I dropped them off to the class.
