The burger was okay but definitely overcooked and not very juicy. It was missing some flavor. The garlic fries were probably the best thing we ordered. The hibiscus lemonade was decent, and the mocktail we got was actually really good. As for the service, some of the staff were really nice and welcoming, but I did feel a little uncomfortable toward the end. When I asked if I could pay with cash instead of card, I got the impression that the person seating us assumed I was going to leave a tip and seemed disappointed when I clarified that I was just paying cash. I also felt like some of the servers were giving us an attitude afterward because we didn't tip. Overall, tipping is a personal choice, and I don't think customers should feel judged or pressured because of it. Some of the staff were genuinely kind, but unfortunately the food and the experience weren't enough for me to want to come back.

He explained the menu really well and got everyone's drink orders. The drinks did take a little while to come out, and one thing I noticed was since everyone was ordering food at different times, the food kind of came out little by little. It felt like it took a while to get some of our food after we ordered, and it almost made it seem like they wanted us to keep ordering drinks while we waited. We were there for about 2 hours just eating and drinking. Now the food... it was honestly SO good! I just wish the portions were a little bigger for how much everything costs. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious, but in my opinion it's definitely on the pricey side for what you get. The Truffle Mac & Cheese was really good, but it was such a small portion. The Crispy Bluefin Nigiri was probably one of my favorite things we ordered! It has crispy sushi rice, bluefin toro, honey-cashew sauce, avocado, and aged ponzu. It was SO good... but it's only like five little bite-sized pieces for $24. It was delicious, I just couldn't get over the price. The Mushroom Risotto was also really, really good! And my favorite meal was probably the Spicy Shrimp Bucatini. It has shrimp, Italian sausage, fresh bucatini, Calabrian chili, Grana Padano, and toasted breadcrumbs. The flavor was sooo good! We shared it, but honestly I could've eaten the whole thing by myself. If I go back, I'd definitely order that as my meal. For drinks, I tried the Frozen Summer Margarita, and it was so refreshing! It has watermelon, hibiscus, basil, and citrus, and I really liked it. I also tried the Pool Boy, which has gin, watermelon liqueur, cucumber, basil, and citrus. That one was really good too! The restaurant itself is super cute inside! The only other thing I'd mention is that when we were leaving, there were a lot of people hanging around the bar, so it was a little hard to get to the bathrooms. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. Also, if you're going with a bigger group, just know they automatically add 18% gratuity to every tab. I totally understand why they do it, but with the menu already being pretty expensive, it definitely makes your bill go up fast. Overall, I really did like Saizon! The food and drinks were delicious, and it's a really cute place. I think next time I'd go for a date night or with a smaller group instead of a big party. Just be prepared that it's a little pricey for the portion sizes, and if you're with a large group, don't forget about that automatic 18% gratuity.

Our waitress was amazing, she was always checking up on us, making sure we had everything we needed it and that we were comfortable. I ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit with Tater tots and for my drink I ordered the OG Lemonade. Starting with the sandwich, the chicken was nice and juicy, very crunchy as well. The flavor of the chicken was very good as well. The buscuit added that nice hint of sweetness that just tied the whole thing together. The tater tots were definitely crunchy, which I loved. They give you a very well serving of tater tots. I did not end up finishing mine, but they had great taste and texture. The lemonade was very refreshing, and it just hit that spot so well. It was appealing to the eye and tasted like freshly squeezed lemonade. Overall experience was 10/10, I would come back. The place gives off vintage coffee shop vibes even though it is not a coffee shop. Seating is definitely very limited inside. However, they do have outdoor tables with umbrellas which is a nice touch. Price-wise I would say it is a bit pricier compared to other similar restaurants I have visited. The total came out to $45 for two plates of the chicken biscuit and two lemonades.

When making the reservation, i made a note that it was our anniversary! When we arrived and checked in, the hostess acknowledged our anniversary, as did our server! Very hospitable that they acknowledged it, as some other places don't. The food has been great both times and the portions are generous! Some high end places get a little skimpy, especially with the sides. Not here! This time around, I ordered the Prime Rib, got the whipped potatoes and substituted the Brussels sprouts. Both were generous portions. Also love the added touch that they'll give you fresh horseradish to go along with the horseradish cream for a little extra kick. My wife had the Ribeye, which we've both ordered before, and it's delicious. She ordered the cashew green beans, but they were very saucy and some were burnt. When brought up to the server, she said she would have the kitchen make her a fresh ordered without hesitation. Within a few minutes, a nice sized portion of fresh Cashew Green Beans arrived! The Wedge Salad is also delicious and generously portioned. It could actually be a meal for someone, if so inclined. The atmosphere is also very welcoming and private. We've sat inside and on the patio, and actually preferred the patio seating! I can't say enough about the hospitality of the staff though. There's a gentleman who is either the lead host or a manager, that's been there both times. He takes a personal interest in the customers and makes sure to visit each table, which you don't often see. As we were walking out, he was also walking out behind us. Even though we were a few steps ahead, he wished us (again) a happy anniversary and to have a great night! This is a special place in Fresno and a great choice for a special occasion. We were made to feel comfortable from the start, and every interaction with the staff was professional without ever feeling overbearing. You can immediately taste the care that goes into making it in-house, with a perfect texture and beautiful bite that elevates every dish. The seasonal Corn Agnolotti was outstanding. The sweet corn filling was vibrant, fresh, and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The portions were thoughtfully sized, allowing us to enjoy multiple courses without leaving the table feeling overly full. The amuse-bouche is basically a stale crostini with flavorless cream cheese on top and they call it a "mousse". Crispy Brussel spouts were greasy and too aldente and lacked salt - the calamari was flavorful but soggy - maybe they need to change the oil - the kale salad was a Taylor farms Costco Caesar with like 2 pieces of chopped kale and un-toasted pine nuts sloppily thrown on top. QUICK TAKE Get: Blackened Salmon Tacos Skip: Ultimate Combo Louie, Shrimp Cocktail, Grilled Alaskan Halibut Know: Several of the seafood dishes tasted dry or tired, and the meal did not feel worth the price. The only thing I would recommend is the Blackened Salmon Tacos. They come with fire-roasted salsa, avocado, cabbage-cilantro slaw, pico de gallo and lime crema. These had much better flavor, texture, and balance than the rest of our meal. Unfortunately, the other seafood was where things really fell apart. Ultimate Combo Louie: This comes loaded with jumbo prawns, shrimp and Dungeness crab, so at $38 I expected it to feel like a premium seafood salad. It didn't. The seafood lacked freshness and the shrimp in particular were soft and soggy. Shrimp Cocktail: Probably the most disappointing item. The shrimp tasted old and had a limp, waterlogged texture instead of being firm and fresh. Grilled Alaskan Halibut: At $42, this should have been one of the highlights. Instead, the fish was dry and overcooked, which is especially frustrating with a piece of halibut at this price. Hoisin Brussels Sprouts: Way too sweet for me. The sweetness completely overwhelmed the Brussels sprouts instead of complementing them.
