5 stars for my Bun Rieu (tomato and crab) and for the service the staff provided for my toddler! I didn't see Bun Rieu on the menu but I saw that people on Yelp ordered it, so I asked for it and was able to get it. It was soo tasty and comforting on a rainy day. I gobbled the whole thing up. Initially after we placed our orders, the lady who served us noticed we didn't order anything for our toddler (we were planning to just share our own food), so she brought over a bowl of rice and soup for her. My daughter loved it! Thank you Yum Yum Pho :)
This tiny location brings some big flavor to the pho world. Nestled in among several good restaurants and businesses, I think we picked a good one to try. We did have to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. The space is small but functional. The service was good too; auntie didn't even have to write anything down. She got this down to a science. I ordered a pho combo that came with a Vietnamese coffee and two spring rolls. Wow, was it great. I enjoyed it all! My two sons got a pho bowl and shared while I shared some pho with my daughter. The bathroom is through the kitchen and for how much food this place is putting out it's pretty clean and I bet this building has been here a long time.
A favorite pho spot of mine, add in the cost and it pushes it fabulous. Where else are you getting a combination pho for under $15. The main server is always the same person, greets with small, always polite, and remembers my order. The pho is bursting with aromatic and umami filled broth is so light yet full of flavor. The sometimes challenging part of getting pho here is the parking lot is small. If none, you can try parking across the street in the hill. But do NOT park in the mall area behind the building. The security attendant will come up to the restaurant to tell you to move or it'll be towed. Nothing worse than having to leave your hot bowl of pho to move.
This is my go to place for pho outside of Chinatown. I've introduced so many friends and family to this place and now they're all regulars as well! The aunty that that works the front is always so fast and friendly. She remembers a lot of her regular customers and even takes our orders without ever needing to write it all down. I always order the combo 2 which comes with your choice of pho, 2 spring rolls, and your choice of Vietnamese iced coffee or tea for $18.99. The pho broth is so aromatic and rich in flavor I can literally drink the whole bowl lol. My boyfriend usually orders the lemongrass chicken vermicelli or rice plate. He swears no other places make the lemongrass as good as Yum Yum! If you can handle the heat, you definitely have to try their homemade spicy chili oil because it pairs well with pretty much every dish. They can get quite busy during peak hours and it's a small place with about 6 tables inside. A lot of times we'll order takeout and it's still just as good at home!
I've passed here for years and never stopped in. We decided to give it a try. The place has a small dining area for 5-7 movable tables depending on the size of the guest count. It's a nice cozy atmosphere like a mom and pop restaurant feel. They were just another table besides us when we arrived. The server was polite and very knowledgeable. She took the order of a table of 8 without writing down anything and served them with no mistakes even with special orders, impressive! She made it to us very quickly and did the same. Excellent service. Our food came out in a timely matter. We had the chicken pho combo and the create your own beef pho combo. Our soup base was flavorful and tasty. Spring rolls were nice and crispy on the inside and fresh crisp veggies on the inside. It also came with a choice of Thai Iced Tea or Thai Iced Coffee. Very potent taste, can be a little strong for some but good for me. Great experience tonight. As we left, there was a waiting line outside the door
Go early for lunch or dinner. This is a small place with only a half dozen tables that fill quickly, be prepared to wait outside. Service is very good. Family run business, wife is the main server, husband helps, too. Have eaten here before but decided to try the oxtail pho this time and I'm so glad I did! Hubby got his usual bed balls and rare steak. He always enjoys that. The oxtail pho was amazing. Oxtail pieces were cooked just right so it wasn't too difficult to eat. Broth here is always delicious. What's interesting is they do not put cilantro in, but it's so tasty that's ok. We always customize the accompaniments, half the bean sprouts and plenty of basil leaves. Also love the Vietnamese food channel (or video?) On one TV monitor and the scenic places on the other. It's always fun watching the food channel especially. This is our favorite pho place and will keep returning!
A crowd favorite... After hearing much about this spot I finally got a chance to give them a try since I already was in the area. Yum Yum Pho is found in Aiea Town Square but not actually in the shopping area but outside right along Moanalua Road but parking is nice and convenient provided by the shopping center it's just a short walk up to the restaurant. This super cozy spot was a complete full house with many waiting outside but since I was ordering a take out I thought it'd be fine though since they were so busy I was told it would take 30-45 minutes is quite insane but totally understandable and was fine with it but since it's literally on the sidewalk there's no place to sit and wait as there was a large crowd of folks waiting for their table I opt to wait in the car as they'll call me once my order was ready. I ordered Tofu Summer Rolls and Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli and no it didn't take long at all but about 15 minutes which was much faster than expected. This place is crazy busy so phone order is totally recommended if you know ahead of time but was nice as the prices here are nice as well along with having dinner making it a wonderful and successful run. Thank you!
Yum yum it is! I got the Brisket Pho Combo (comes with 2 spring rolls) and choice of iced coffee or iced tea. Broth is light and tasty. And the bánh phở come out how I like em.. no soggy and firm. Service is quick. Servers / owners were nice! It's a small place so may have to wait awhile, especially during lunch time. Make sure to park near lot / building or walk to the place. "parking police" come by and watch where you park, and cite you if you park other on the Aiea Town Square parking lot.
Lunch in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawai'i... When my Lunch Buddy, Dear Daniel, was awarded ROTD (Review of the Day) today (7.26.25), I asked him: "When do you want to go?" He replied: "When were you thinking?" I answered: "How about today?" LOL... Life is short, right? Yum Yum Pho is located in that weird shopping area that's down a steep driveway. It's called Aiea Town Square, but it's not a square. It's more like a two-story strip mall with odd, free parking. The entrance of Yum Yum Pho is street side. We had to go upstairs from the parking lot and walk a bit to get to the entrance. We waited at one of the bigger tables in the middle of the cozy shop while the staff cleaned a two-seater table. Gosh... this place is popular! I ordered Combination #2: a bowl of pho with rare beef steak in the soup, 2 spring rolls, and a Thai iced tea. It was a lot of food for a great price! Lunch Buddy ordered Combination #3 so that he could take the Bahn Mi sandwich home. He ate a super spicy bowl of pho and added the fresh basil leaves. Service was very good. I was given an extra chair for Cony and her friends! (The server saw that my tote bag was on my lap. She wanted me to be comfortable!) Thank you! CONGRATULATIONS to Dear Daniel on his ROTD! First time here. Located off the busy Moanaloa Road. Parking is available behind the restaurant down the steep driveway of Aiea Town Square. The restaurant is small, but comfortable and clean. Very popular and be prepared to wait especially during the busy lunch hours. The pho broth is clean but rich and beefy. The spices are not overpowering at all. The noodles cooked firm. The vegetables condiments are fresh. Portion size is very generous. Family Owned and operated restaurant. The service is warm and welcoming.
Haven't been here since they have new owners. The food was excellent . The broth was really good. The place was crowded around 11:30am... they only have .7-tables. Come early so you can get a table. Customer service was excellent. Parking is in the back by Aiea Manapua. Restaurant is across the Shell Service Station on Moanalua Road. Aloha,Derek
Food: We ordered the #3 combo with Brisket Pho and a BBQ Pork Bahn Mi and also got tofu summer rolls. I really like how they have combos cuz normally I wanna eat both but don't want to order two whole meals. The pho broth was really flavorful on its own without adding any sauce and the bahn mi had really good bread. I liked dipping the bahn mi in the broth like a French dip sandwich. Service: the waitress was nice and the food came out pretty quickly. She also refilled our water very often. Ambiance: the interior pretty much looks like any Vietnamese restaurant. Its a small cozy place with maybe like 5 tables. Price: The combo meals are good value since you can get pho with another item that would normally cost more if you ordered separately.
First time dining in at the restaurant but had ordered take out a few days prior because my fiancé was sick. Of course we went there for lunch because I got sick not too long after he did and I wanted to get pho to heal my soul! Lol From the take out my fiancé thought they had really good broth. I did so as well. For the take out I ordered a chicken pho and a combo pho for him with a side of beef balls and extra noodles. This time when we had dined in he ordered the oxtail pho and I got the seafood pho. The broth was amazing as the first time and I love their veggies. The basil and the bean sprouts are so fresh and nice looking it makes me want to eat it all. It's not like some places where the bean sprouts are kind of brownish and doesn't look as fresh. Theirs looks so fresh and thin and it's so tasty with the basil as well! The aunty that works there is really nice and the inside of the restaurant gives a nice homey feel. There's about 5-6 tables inside so not very big and I was very glad when we went there weren't a lot do people. The price is very reasonable as well compared to some other places in town that cost wayyyy more for just a regular bowl of pho. I think this is my new favorite pho restaurant!!! I will be coming back for more!!! read more

I go next door to Vina Cafe often and always noticed how busy Yum Yum Cafe gets, so we finally decided to try it for dinner! First, I really like that they offer combos with a drink and two spring rolls--it's perfect if you just want something on the side without ordering a full appetizer. My boyfriend and I both got the brisket pho, and it was delicious! The broth was flavorful, the brisket was tender, and there was a generous amount of noodles. The spring rolls and Thai tea were also pretty good. We were seated right away, and the service was quick and friendly. It's a small restaurant but cozy. I can definitely see why this is such a popular spot! read more

Food is always awesome there. Pho is out of this world when you their lemongrass chili oil on top. Cant find that anywhere else. Staff is wonderful and excellent. Our go to spot for Pho in Aiea. read more

WOW! It exists! Finding a Vietnamese restaurant outside of Chinatown that's actually on-par or even better with those has been unsuccessful because all of them adjust/tones down their flavors and tastes to accommodate to the area and clientele. This was a Thursday evening and finding a place to eat on that side of town proved to be more difficult than before as most places close early. Luckily, I saw Yum Yum Pho with its nearly 5 star average Yelp rating, so why not come here!? This place is located along Moanalua Road, near Aiea Heights Drive, across from Aiea Medical Building, next to Vina Cafe. There's a small parking lot behind the building which you can access by a ramp right next to the building, or from the stoplight at the intersection with Heleconia Pl and turn into the first driveway. For a Thursday, this place was packed! Albeit, this is a smallish place, but these are usually the best ones! We had a little bit of a wait as there was another couple in front. Even though the inside was small, it was still cozy and comfortable, and clean and vibrant. We started with the Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi. The baguette was REALLY good! Toasty and crispy outside, warm and soft inside with savory butter, flavorful lemongrass chicken, topped with perfectly marinated radish and carrot, and cilantro. The Eggplant Tofu Rice dish was excellent. Dish came out piping hot and it was very tasty with a nice char on the eggplant. I loved the addition of basil giving it a nice brightness with the savory and sweet. I also added a side of Small Pho Broth, and WOW, I was blown away. The flavors were spot on. You can taste the subtle herbs and spices. It was hearty, warm, and meaty. This little bowl was the best thing of the meal, and everything else was good! I must order the Pho next time! This time, we wanted to try the Crab Meat Noodle as this is only available on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. We were kindly noted that the broth is tomato-based and also the crab balls are made with real crab meat. Nice! The broth was light, warm with nice tomato flavor. The crab balls were very good. You can taste the crab! It also came with tofu, fish cake, shrimp, and slices of tomato. Noodles weren't the usual variety in Pho. It was the dried version of rice noodle. The accompaniments were the usual bean sprouts, jalapeno, basil, and a unique vegetable that we later found out it's sliced ong choy stem. Nice! It was really good! I might need to buy some at the market. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I feel like this might be even better than the restaurants in Chinatown! Quite happy to have found Yum Yum Pho. All the food was very well prepared. The prices were very reasonable. The service was awesome. Owners were so friendly, welcoming, honest, informative, attentive, and just a pleasure to talk to. I wish I lived a little closer to Aiea as I would come here very often! I can see why this place is so busy with many regulars that the owners make them feel like family and remember their usuals. But I need to come back ASAP for the Pho! Or even just a small bowl of pho with a side of French bread and pate! read more
Wow, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever experienced on Oahu, and perhaps in life. First time visiting today & it won't be the last!! We had the summer rolls ($8.99), shrimp pho ($14.99) & house combo ($18.99): rare steak pho, spring rolls & iced coffee. Excellent value with unbelievable quality. Yum Yum pho is unreasonably delicious; they nailed the name & live up to it! read more
First visit: What makes this restaurant amazing and unique are the combos 1, 2, and 3 offered at amazing prices with generous portions, free parking, and establishment definitely lives up to its name Yum Yum. I initially craved for Crab Meat Noodle; however, Joanna informed me that they're out of it for today. My thoughts were this entree must be very popular after she informed me there was a big order this morning for ten Crab Meat Noodle. Best to return during lunch either Thursday, Friday or Sunday to enjoy this entree. Instead, I chose combo 3 which included choice of Pho - beef tendon with choice of banh mi - bbq pork. Broth of pho was indeed clean tasting. Beef tendon tasted very tender, generous portions served and gelatinous that softness blended well with the rest of veggies and rice noodles. BBQ Pork Banh Mi was out of this world! Joanna also wrapped my banh mi in foil and packed the rest of my pho in a to go soup container with lid. Very helpful and thoughtful. I ate banh mi for lunch leftover and French baguette still tasted crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, bbq pork was very tender and tasty, while pickled veggies retained crunchiness, and light mayo balanced the flavors. I also ate the remaining beef tendon pho for dinner and it was still yummy! My husband ordered combo 2 and stated throughout his meal that everything tasted fantastic! While I was chewing my food, I also gave two thumbs up! We equally enjoyed everything from crispy homemade spring rolls with house made dipping sauce, humongous summer rolls with slightly warm, flavorful, crunchy peanut dipping sauce, and sipping on Thai Iced Tea. Establishment gets crowded during peak hours. Fascinating to watch various Vietnamese street food on HDTV. Dress comfortable. Looking forward to return and try other entrees. Second visit: I was able to return for another visit and get my hands on Crab Meat Noodle. Broth served hot! Aromatic and very flavorful broth complete with vermicelli noodles, fresh crab meat, pork, pieces of decent size shrimp, sliced tomatoes, and firm tofu that can withstand the heat. Loved everything about this entree. Surprisingly, it's not spicy. Go ahead and dig in! What a gem! This was our first time there and had a great experience! It was Mother's Day and it was packed. We patiently waited outside for around 15/20 minutes, which is fine, sends a positive message that it's a worthwhile place. Was greeted immediately when walking through the door, which makes me very happy from the get-go. I truly believe good customer service (treating people how you want to be treated) is essential for an establishment. I don't want to go to an establishment if I'm not treated nicely. The warm greeting woman/waitress took our order promptly and with a smile. The food came out very quickly by a gentleman which whom had a warm presence about him as well. The food was hot and very tasty! I ordered the Beef Steak Pho. For me, It had the perfect amount of noodles and beef ratio and the broth was yummy. As we proceeded to leave, there was a line outside, I can see why, this place is worth it. I absolutely recommend this restaurant and will be back! read more
When Judy C., a fellow foodie friend raves over a restaurant and suggests a get together, you don't question. Just go. When Yum Yum Pho (YYP) was mentioned, my first thought was its location as Judy galavants all over the island. As a townie, she's introduced to me great restaurants in West Oahu where I've now included them in my rotation of restaurants. Located in Aiea Town Square near Aiea Manapua, YYP offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine and has been serving this area for several years now. We arrived on a wet weekday evening where a bowl of pho was perfect. YYP is considerably a small restaurant and reservations are not taken here. I arrived first and secured a table for 8. While waiting for the others to arrive, I perused the menu and then recalled Judy previously texting me advising they have a great combo of pho and banh mi sandwich. After confirming with the waitress of what I wanted specifically in my pho, I got the Combo #3 of meatballs and beef tendon and paired it with BBQ pork banh mi. After we all ordered, we used the waiting time catching up with friends I haven't seen for months. The wait didn't seem that long and after we took turns snapping photos, it was time to dig in. THE VERDICT: The first thing I do with a bowl of pho is to taste the soup. The broth was piping hot and delicious but needed to be doctored up with their house satay and hoi sin sauce. I tossed in some of the sliced jalapeño and basil leaves. I took another sip of broth and the spice level satisfied my taste buds. Each group had their pho condiments (jalapeño slices, bean sprouts, basil sprigs and lemon wedge) plated and served separately. The beef tendon was served in thick chunks and tender. Noodles were cooked perfectly to my liking with a firm texture and bounce. Leftover pho doesn't taste good the next day so I made it a mission to finish my pho and take home the banh mi for another meal. Our server answered our questions, refilled our water cups and we asked for separate checks where she advised she'd ring us up individually. A few people mentioned Yum Yum Pho to me because I love pho so I made sure to bookmark them. With so many amazing 5 star reviews, how could I not bookmark them? For the first time in a long time, I was excited to try a new pho restaurant. It's not often that I'm in Aiea these days so I made sure to go there the next time I was in the area. Fortunately, I was meeting a client mid way and Aiea was the lucky city. I suggested Yum Yum Pho and we agreed to meet there. We scheduled to meet up at 10am, when they opened, but we ended up meeting closer to 11am due to unforeseen traffic. The restaurant was easy to find and there is free parking in the private lot. It's a cozy dining area with about 7 tables to dine on inside. We got lucky with the last available table. Nothing fancy and they have photos of menu items on the wall. We ordered a Combination Pho with the Rare Steak on the side, a Brisket Pho, Summer Rolls, a Thai Tea and an Iced Coffee. It didn't take them long to get our order out. The veggies were fresh but they don't offer culantro. We were surprised at how large the portions are for the price! Their sauté sauce is legit so make sure to give it a try if you like spice. With the bowl coming out piping hot, it quickly cooked the fresh veggies. Broth was quite good and the meat was tender. It was a lot of food so we had to take half the Summer Rolls to go. I cannot believe that everything was under $50! Good food at great prices is their key to success. This is now my go to pho spot in Aiea. read more

Came here at 7pm on a Sunday night and it was a full house (good sign to me!). The place has a mom and pop vibe. Looks like a lot of regulars come here. The owner and staff are Vietnamese which made me feel the food will be authentic. Parking is downstairs even though the restaurant is located street level (right across from the Shell gas station). Service was very quick and friendly. I ordered the spring rolls and BBQ pork vermicelli. My wife got the chicken vermicelli. The bowls of pho that other people ordered were pretty big and smelled great! The food was tasty overall. My pork was a little over cooked. My wife's chicken was quite tender. Noodles were perfectly done. The vegetables garnish looked and tasted fresh too. My dish only came with one spring roll and it was kinda on the thinner side. Overall I'd eat here again but I'll probably try the pho. read more

Always enjoy dining here! Joanna is awesome! She remembers our order, efficient and super friendly. Tonight I had the rare steak pho with tendons. Perfect choice for a cold and blustery evening! The serving size is large and easily shareable. Forgot to check in on my last visit, but Joanna was kind enough to give me an extra bowl so I could split a pho. The peanut sauce is delish! I enjoy eating the lettuce, cucumber and pickled veggies that come with the spring rolls as a salad. The restaurant is casual and comfortable. Joanna often recommends a combo if someone in our party is ordering a drink or side. IMHO the combos are the best deal and easily shareable! read more

Came here on a weekday for lunch and it was a full house. The place is pretty small with just a little more than a handful of tables, so we were lucky to grab the last open one. Prices are very reasonable at around $14 for pho or vermicelli and the service was quick, with our food coming out in no time. The BBQ pork vermicelli was tasty, though the pork was sliced thinner than I expected, so a few pieces came out a little dry. Still enjoyable overall. The pho was solid with a big, hearty bowl and quality cuts of meat. Overall, it is a good spot if you are looking for a satisfying meal at a great value. read more

Hidden gem in Aiea! Friends frequent this place and recommended since they live close by. The owner is so nice and the restaurant is cozy with several tables. Service is fast and she didn't need to write down our orders for our table of 5. Got it all right, impressive! Phone was ringing off the hook because there were a lot of takeout orders. The green papaya salad was crunchy and loved the nuoc mam sauce that it was soaking in. Put some sate on it and it was so good! Lots of fresh basil and shrimp was not mushy. Spring rolls came out hot from the fryer. They were crispy, well seasoned, and were a good portion. I got the Pho combo #2 with the spring rolls & Vietnamese coffee for $18.99. What a deal!! Where can you find all three of these for only $19?? The pho broth was a little on the sweeter side but the sate oil was SO spicy and it made up for the sweetness. Sate was definitely homemade. Pho noodles could have been a little more al dente but overall, very good. Very fresh veggies. The only thing is that it came with lemon wedges instead of lime and no cilantro in the broth. The Vietnamese coffee was bitter with a slight sweetness from the condensed milk. So good! Also got a Pho + Banh Mi combo for my daughter. The Bbq chicken had good flavor and the veggies complimented well with the crispy bread & chicken. This place is definitely on my favorite pho places. Love the combos and the owner! read more
I only took a picture of the menu because I was so excited when the food came and too busy talking story that it totally slipped my mind *insert sad emoji here* Yum Yum Pho is a cute little hole in the wall place with about 6-7 tables in a cozy restaurant. On the main drag, close to Aiea Manapua. We were lucky enough to get there about 6pm and there were still a couple tables left. It took a little while for our water to come but the lady apologized and was very nice. We both got the Combo #2 which came with your choice of pho (except oxtail), 2 spring rolls, and a Thai coffee of Thai iced tea. The price is very reasonable especially with the prices of food that keeps going up. The pho broth was very tasty and a good portion. I got the rare steak but debated about getting the brisket because I usually like my meat with a little bit of fat. I used the two chili sauces on the table and the one with the oil was very very spicy but so tasty. The spring rolls were so crispy and they gave just the right amount of dipping sauce in a small ramekin. The Thai tea was a little too sweet for me but as expected. We didn't know that you're supposed to go up and pay when you're finished so we waited a while at our table for the check until I saw someone go up to pay. There's parking in the back of the building where Aiea Manapua is and next to the other buildings. And there's a stairs that goes up to the restaurant which is very convenient. Very nice staff. I love pho but after my favorite neighborhood pho restaurant shut down, I'm like "pho restaurant refugees" near my house. I and my husband decided to pho for brunch after his hair cut appointment. I looked for pho restaurant by Yelp and found this place! It's very cozy place but when we got inside luckily we had last table to seat. It was first time so I ordered combination pho steak on side and my husband chose pho with brisket & beef ball and spring rolls. Actually they are not only busy dine in also people to pick up but staff was very nice & kind. First just fresh fried summer rolls served. Cut to good size and lots with fresh vegetables( lettuce, mint, pickles) and rice noodles. It's so good! And shortly our pho came. Their soup has good flavor (feels Chinese star anise, I love it!) and lots of meat & noodles. We were both happy to this place! The price is very good!!!! (I'm little worried is their price okay?!) What better way to help along a cold or flu than a bowl of Pho? Called in my takeout order and was greeted by a noticeably friendly lady. We ordered the vegetarian pho and the crab pho (available Friday through Sunday). She asked if I've ever had the crab pho before and when I told her it was my first time, she explained what was in it and that it was tomato based. I thought it was very thoughtful. Order was ready for pickup in about 30 mins. Parking is in the small lot by Aiea Manapua. We waited in the cosy little shop while listening to the family cook in the back. Very friendly people. We ordered the bbq pork Bahn mi, the Combination Bahn mi, and the shrimp summer rolls.$30. The pork Bahn Mi was not as good as most places. The pork was more like a pork roast than the BBQ pork you get at other Vietnamese restaurants. Everything else was average. I'm so glad we came here! Saw the great Yelp reviews so I had to come try. It's a small restaurant and the lady owner is such a sweet lady. I thought all the dishes looked delicious from the photos but I love the fact that they have special combination meals! It's a deal and I get to try the banh mi, spring rolls and pho! Hubby had the Thai tea with spring rolls and chicken pho. The spring rolls had the classic OG taste which I loved. I had the banh mi and brisket pho. This place doesn't skimp on meat, noodles or bean sprouts! I hate it when some pho restaurants charge so much for their pho nowadays with very little noodles. The broth here is amazing and they make their own hot chili oil which she indicated is pretty spicy. I loved it in my pho! We will definitely be back, this will be my go to pho spot from now on. read more
