Combination Pho w/Rare Steak on the side
    Daniel C.

Pho Waipahu is probably one of the best Vietnamese restaurants on the west side. My friend was raving about them for weeks till he convinced me to journey there to meet him for lunch. They were easy to find but stalls are narrow in the parking lot. The restaurant is spacious, bright and clean. They had a bunch of diners and it smelled good so I was excited to give them a try. There were only two staff members serving customers and the kitchen staff in back. Customer service was a little slow and we had to flag them for everything. They do provide you a small plate of their sauté sauce, Sriracha and hoisin sauce. You can ask for more which I did. Odd the condiments were not on the table to help yourself. The fresh veggies were generous but no culantro provided. We did ask them to cook the bran sprouts. My friend got their beef stew with egg noodle and I got their combination pho with the rare steak on the side. Both came out in a reasonable time. Portions for the beef stew were generous! So much tender meat and the soup was flavorful. It was so good that I ordered one to go with their freshly baked bread. The pho was better than I expected and a good portion size. We did share a BBQ pork banh mi and that was good and the perfect appetizer. This has been added to our rotation of restaurants to dine at now.

For the New Year 2026, "Hey Mom let's go have some Pho!" Yeah You! Mom and Son lunch at his fave Pho restaurant! There is no place other than Pho Waipahu with Yummolicious broth!!! Slurp, slurp... Sooo good! We always have their combination, generously slices of beef, beef balls, tripes, tendon and the gelatinous goodness Mmmmmm! Service always so friendly and the decor feels welcoming too. Mahalo again Pho Waipahu and Thank you Son :)

We were in the mood for Vietnamese food. Read the reviews on Yelp and were in the area so we stopped by. Staff were very friendly and efficient. They have quite an expansive menu. We ordered the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi, the Mixed BBQ plate, and a Spring Roll Salad. Everything was very tasty. . We definitely have to try their Pho next time. Dine in or takeout. Lots of free parking.

Another great meal here! This time I finally tried the chicken salad and I can't believe I waited this long. It was light, refreshing, and absolutely delicious -- shredded chicken tossed with shredded cabbage and carrots, all drizzled in a balanced nuoc cham dressing and finished with a sprinkle of black pepper. It's simple, but every bite was packed with flavor and texture. This is definitely going to be my go-to order from now on. As always, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Can't wait for my next visit!

Bbq pork with vermicelli at spring rolls

Went to Pho Waipahu today because my mom wanted to treat me to lunch (never turn down a free meal -- that's my rule). I ordered the BBQ pork vermicelli with spring rolls, and it came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. My mom enjoyed her pho, though she wished they had a small bowl option -- they only offer medium or large. Guess she had no choice but to "suffer" through a bigger serving. The restaurant has a restroom on site if you need it, and parking was a breeze with plenty of open spaces. Service was quick, friendly, and made the whole lunch feel easy and relaxed.

Located in the same parking lot as Pacific Supermarket and Savers, this Vietnamese restaurant has great tasting Pho. Combination Pho (Pho Dac Biet) - 5 stars - I chose the Large for $19 and gave some of my noodles to my son. When it comes to pho, it's the broth that makes the pho, and it is very flavorful here. Not watery, and a strong flavored broth, it was so good, I actually drank the whole soup. There were a variety of meat and they did not skimp on the tripe. The garnishes were only bean sprouts, basil and lemon. Didn't have any other vegetables with it. Their sauce is already made in a dish for dipping, but the broth was so flavorful, I didn't need any. I did use it for the meat at the end. My son got the steak pho, he got a good portion of meat, but he said the meat was a little tough. My son loved his thai tea, but I didn't care for the boba lychee smoothie too much (3 stars) because I tasted some powder in the drink and the boba was as soft and chewy as I like it. Service was great, and no extra charge for using credit card. Lots of parking in this complex, but can get crowded since they share parking with a lot of other stores. Definitely will eat here again.

Pho Waipahu came recommended by a friend, so I was excited to finally check it out. The broth was good, and the overall the food showed potential. However, the service missed the mark. My side of bean sprouts and basil never arrived, and by the end of the meal there was still no acknowledgment or an apology for the oversight even after I asked for it as its a given when you order pho. What surprised me most was the lack of a simple "thank you" as we left--something I genuinely value when dining out. Or an apology for forgetting an important side that always comes when you order pho. Overall, Pho Waipahu lands in the "maybe" category for me. The service experience needs some refinement before I could fully recommend it.

First time here. I wanted some sugar cane juice. Cute little place in the heart of Waipahu by Pacific Market. Place is clean with nice decor. They have a great menu selections/options. Price is what you expect from other pho place. I was greeted and seated right away. I order combination pho with side of fried egg roll. The egg was smaller than normal but delicious. I really the fact you can ordered 1, 2, or 3 egg roll on side. Price was really reasonable. Not crazy $12 for 2 cut up egg roll. Of course I had to taste the pho broth before adding any condiments. It was ok, could be better. Lacking in flavors. As always you get half of meatball cut in half. 2 of a half. Lol. I never understand why all pho place rip you off on a meatballs. Other than that. Hope you guy check out this local business. Support local business

    Bun bo hue
    Linda T.

Service was fast but my bun bo hue was missing the bold flavor and variety of meats that it usually comes with. My biggest complaint is the noodles, most of the rice noodles were broken into little pieces. This was a decent bowl of soupy noodles but falls short if it's labeled as bun bo hue. We also got a bbq chicken banh mi that was really good.

Pho is always the "go to" but more so on a rainy day. Came here twice in a week...yep, that's how yummy it is! Located in the same complex as Savers in Waipahu. There is a decent size parking lot. Bonus is that they open at 10am! Service was good. They are constantly busy with people coming and going. You can be ordering with one person and asking another one for help. They all help each other out. It's a cozy place with probably a dozen tables, ranging from 2-6 tops. There are also counter seats. The first time I went, I got a large (yes, large for a $1 more, why not? lol) pho combo #10 (no photo of this- I was too focused on eating since it was my first time there ). Yum! Their hot sauce mix was different from the other pho places I go to. They "prepare" it for you in that small dish. It looked like hoisin, sriracha, and their own chili mix. My second time there, I got the oxtail pho and my bestie got the rib pho. We shared the oxtail and ribs. What can I say? We killed it...and we had seconds on their "dipping" sauce. Oh, we also had an order of the spring rolls and that was good too. I've gone to the "other" place in Waipahu that has the oxtail and ribs and if you're asking how it compares? I'm not a pho snob, so I'd say it's about the same. I think the sauce makes or breaks a place so if I had to lean one way, it would be Pho Waipahu. Crazy side note: I had pho in Oregon and they had no sauce! I was baffled, maybe the sauce is another Hawai'i thing. This is a secret gem in Waipahu! If you haven't tried it, you should.

    Jennifer H.

Very satisfying broth. Nothing complex but it absolutely guts the spot when craving sine comfort food. Classic noodles in broth is good enough for me. If I'm craving protein, I'll add some chicken or pork belly. Yummm

Food was great! Totally would love to come here again, everything is clean, neat, yummy. I really like their chair lol. So far it's the best in Waipahu. Service was simple and they are nice. Ordered 2 Large Pho combo The Vietnamese Sandwich was also delicious. Got the summer roll too.

Searching for accessories for a costume at the Savers, we built up an appetite. Walked over to try this restaurant for first time. The place was clean, including the bathroom which sometimes plays a part on how clean kitchen is. The decor was pretty normal for this type of place, with enlarge photos of different meals on the walls. Originally I thought I'd have Pho, however changed my mind to try a new dish. I ordered a sandwich with bbq pork, husband with chicken. They both came out on a baguette with pickle carrot and a sweet root and cucumbers. Like the mix of pickled sweet root with meats flavor. Husband hand the same opinion of his sandwich. Staff was friendly and food came out in timely manner.

Yujin K-BBQ is a cute little takeout spot that is brightly decorated, extremely clean, and has a very welcoming environment. That's always a great sign that even better things are coming. It was so good that we've already visited twice (once on Christmas and again on New Year's Eve), and everything was cooked to perfection. My other half said this was the best spicy pork he has ever had. It's incredibly flavorful and a must-try. I ordered Kalbi on our second visit to satisfy a craving. It was super yummy with just the perfect amount of char. We also absolutely loved the meat jun and fish jun, those will definitely be our go-to orders from now on! The sides change daily, so it's a fun surprise to see what you get. Everything we tried appealed to all our taste buds, not one complain here. You can tell the staff really takes the time to put some love into their cooking. Since everything comes out super fresh, you do have to wait a little bit for your food, but they provide comfortable seats to wait on, and trust me, it is 100% worth the wait. This has officially become our go-to place whenever we are craving Korean food.

It might've been the search for fried chicken to which Minasa didn't disappoint. We arrived just after opening and happened to get the last open table - after ordering, of course. The restaurant is clean and well put together with darker accents. Our food came out relatively quick - having the chef's special and ube churros. The kalbi sauce soaking into the rice was the perfect balance of flavors. Same for the calamansi fried chicken. Lechon, I must say was also a fine example of how seriously the chefs take their selection of ingredients - as I looked closer, it had the classic 5 layers (shown in my photo). Usually, this is the prime factor in the perfect roast pork - providing juicy layers of pork meat. Overall, this has been the best (new) meal we've had in a LONG time. They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. And we also ordered the March Special which had Pancit, Gisantes, Lechon and Pork Adobo Fried Omelet. The Diniguan was made perfectly! Not sour at all but just the perfect amount of flavor.. the Monggo Beans with Pork were cooked perfectly with delicious pork pieces inside. The March Special was such a good deal! The Pancit, made just right, thr Gisantes, spot on, thr Lechon, amazingly fried and the Pork Adibo Fried Omlete was absolutely delicious! Something i didnt know I needed! The rice was also cooked perfectly, not mushy or under cooked but just right! We got cups of water to drink and they brought us out two cups and a pitcher to refill our cups at the table which I can appreciate.. Overall such a great place with kind, friendly staff and amazing delicious food!

HIGHS: 1. a serving person brings your order to your table, unlike most no tip needed places with…read morecounters for ordering & picking up. 2. location is great --- a short walk from Skyline's transit station. LOWS: 1. don't order chicken adobo: no sauce, no peppercorns, not tasty, some very dark areas in my chicken pieces. no veggie at all. best chicken adobo --very tasty! -- on island is at Loco Moco in Koko Marina Hawaii Kai where the cooks & staff are Chinese folks! 2. ugh! big wall in dining room is an ad/wordage touting Elena's "greatness" -- in yo' face! color of this wall is NOT cheerful -- ugh! but maybe the color is nice to Elena's supportive clientele. 3. The Dinuguan was missing the Bay leaves, and the taste was bland and no where near any Dinuguan taste. I really would like to know where this people learn how to cook Filipino food. Also the many reviews that are anywhere close to 3 To 4 Stars are a little ridiculous.
