My go to place for banh mi. I've never had an order where my bread wasn't crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I've also never had an order where my sandwich wasn't filled to the brim with savory tender meat and fresh veggies. I always get a couple of other appetizers as well. Somedays I get a side of their delicious broth too. Soup and sandwich you say? Say less. Staff is always always so gracious and patient. They're always so sweet to my daughters. Their customer service is as great as their food. Living in Kapolei, there is no shortage of Vietnamese restaurants but I will go out of my way to get my fix of Vietnamese food from here. read more

Late lunch/early dinner in Waipahu, Oahu, Hawaii... I kind of wanted a salad, but Pho Mai Han was right there at Westgate Center, where I had parked for Teapresso Bar. I thought: I should just eat vermicelli with BBQ pork and spring rolls... it's kind of like a salad with noodles and protein! There were several empty tables in the spacious restaurant because it was an off hour. I was able to choose my own seat, which had menus placed at every table. Service was efficient and polite. The woman worker even commented on my photo taking... LOL! The food was okay. Is there a thing such as over-marinated meat? Or should I say that the pork was very flavorful? Best Pho outside of San Jose, CA. Broth was so flavorful along with perfectly cooked noodles. I had #17 and my son #10, both large. Very filling size. We also ordered the papaya salad. I didn't try it but wife and kids loved it. My daughter also got a banh mi sandwich with great vegetables on a toasted baguette. She said it was delicious and good sized. She took half back to the Ko Olina resort since not many food options on site. We will definitely come back next time we're on the West Side of Oahu! read more

After reading the reviews i decided to give this place a try. I'll be honest, i wasn't impressed at all. The food was mediocre and the service was super slow. I believe this place is family owned. The cashier lady barely spoke English and got orders wrong and orders came out late. My son's katsu chicken curry was t cooked all the way. J saw blood fried into some of the chicken. I brought it up and she argued with me that it was "sauce". I'm sure yellow sauce doesn't turn red but what do i know... anyways the Vietnamese coffee was watered down. Didn't taste good. I threw it out. The combination pho was okay, the noodles for some reason tasted old. Safe to say I will not be going back here. read more

This time around we ordered the pork chops and BBQ chicken along with a seafood pho and an order of Crispy spring rolls. I did a phone order and my husband wanted the pork chops and BBQ chicken combo but when I picked it up, I wondered why it costed so much until we got home and opened the plates to see that they gave us a plate of BBQ chicken and a plate of pork chops. My fault cuz I didn't specify. Anyway, as for the food, it was okay. They do give alot of noodles with the pho but the freshness of the shrimp in the pho is a hit or miss because one of the shrimps tasted "fishy." This was my first time eating pho here. The restaurant is located in the Westgate Shopping Center which is convenient for me since I work 5 minutes away, and today was a great day for pho as it's been overcast with drizzles of rain throughout the morning. I ordered the eye round steak pho (large) and it was surely filling. There were lots of bean sprouts and Thai basil to accompany the pho, and the broth was tasty. The large order is also quite a meal in itself. Atmosphere was simple and quiet. The service was quick and efficient. We wanted Thai iced coffee or Thai iced tea before shopping and decided to eat lunch here. Inside is much nicer than you'd imagine for this somewhat run down strip mall in the heart of Waipahu. We were there at 10:45 am so we were the only customers. So idk why the waitress forgot to give us our iced coffee. We ate our food and ny this time more tables were occupied. It looks like it has a good following. it's clean and spacious inside. We inquired about our iced coffee and told her to make them to go so we could do our errands. First time here and they have plenty of tables and chairs to dine in. Very spacious! The food came out quick. I ordered a XL combination pho. It was big, big enough to share, which I did. I was a little disappointed with the broth. It didnt have much taste or flavor. I also ordered a Thai tea which was really sweet, but not disappointing. They also have boba tea available which is really cool and a perfect desert for after your meal. The service was amazing. First time here. The interior looks nice and clean and looks fancy as well. There are tables as well as counters and the biggest table can fit 8 people. It's not that busy when we came so we got seated immediately. We received the menu and after a few minutes of thinking.. we decided to order a large rare steak and brisket, short ribs and shrimp and springs rolls. The spring rolls came out first. Followed by the pho and rice plate. The food looked so good so we dig right in (after a few pictures of course). I tried the spring rolls first and it was really good. It went well with the lettuce and rice noodles with the fish sauce dip. The usual spring roll combo. The short ribs came with 3 pieces and the shrimp had 4. I'd wish there was more for the price ($14) but the taste was sooo good. Especially the short ribs. I'd totally recommend. They also have different plates that offer the short ribs so if you're not feeling the shrimp; they also have chicken, pork chop or both. The pho tasted good as well. It's usually depends on the person with what you put in (hoisan, sciracha, lemon, etc.) only down side is that we ordered with no cilantro but they forgot. No biggie though since most of the food was good. All in all the food was good, the staff are also checking in with how the food taste and water refills. Dinner tonight for my early birthday with the my son and one of my twin girls before we head out. My other son loves this place and wanted to share this with them. Their soup for the pho is one of a kind and like no other. They serve from small to large and thei large is huge. Solid bowl of pho! My grandma and I usually split the largest pho bowl they have. I think its around $20 but it does us well. We get the combo and they are pretty generous with the meat amount! This place is starting to become a joke! I tried them out again after boycotting their business. First off, phone ordered. 15 minutes to get there then the Clerk says my order would be ready in 7 minutes. 15 minutes later my order comes out. Time estimation by the clerk was way off! Secondly, look at my pic. Again they put noodles right into a paper container. I've asked them so many times to put foil or waxed paper but I guess they don't care if their customers are scraping the paper container just to get to the noodles. Poor customer service.
