Still great from all those years prior. I haven't steered away from my original order of the ham and cheese Bahn Mi (I know I can't speak of the authenticity of the food) but it's something about it that's so great. Spring Rolls are always fresh and never soggy or gummy. Service is the friendliness and it's fast. I normally come right after work so it's never really busy at 4pm but they do offer quite a bit of seating and it's pretty spacious if you were to have a large party. It's a cute restaurant that sits maybe 40-50 people. I'm surprise that there was only one person handling phone orders, taking walk-in orders, cleaning tables, and re-filling drinks. Gave this spot a try because it is in a busy spot and always seems relatively busy when in the area, and food was ready within 15 minutes. Price is decent for the quantity. Vermicelli noodles, tapioca pudding, and the Nước chấm all tasted like it was made with sink or tap water. The Terri chicken, and short ribs could use more marinade/flavor. My kids prefer the tofu pho and we all love the lemon grass chicken sandwich. They have been take out only since they reopened from the initial Covid wave and sometimes it's hard to get in to place a phone order as there phone will be busy. Once your order is placed it does usually take 20-30 minutes for pick-up. The food is consistently good and always fresh! Bale is located in Mililani Shopping Center near Foodland. I've been to this location many times. Due to covid, they don't allow you inside their restaurant. They have a table set up at their door with plexiglass and their menu. You can also call in your order if you don't want to wait there for your food. Usually I order their shrimp summer rolls and it's pretty good. I love banh mi, but the freshness of their bread is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's soft and fresh and other times my teeth are angry at me after finishing my banh mi. Recently I discovered they have croissants you can substitute for 50 cents more, so I decided to try it out. I absolutely love it! While it doesn't make it a traditional banh mi, it makes it much easier to eat! I love their lemongrass chicken banh mi and I wish they made a lemongrass tofu banh mi! read more
