This spot gets cuter and cuter every year as they grow in popularity! The Elk Grove location is closest to us so we like coming here. It's right off Grant Line Road so you can't miss it. We usually try to come on a weekday, so we are typically the only ones in the field! Admission for U-pick is $3/person, no charge for babies. Then, once you've picked your berries, it will be $1.99/lb. Super good price if you ask me, considering how expensive they are at the grocery store plus those ones usually have a few duds in the boxes, so it's nice to pick the ones you like! It's pretty early in the season but we were still able to easily find a bucket full in about 15 mins just going through 2-3 rows! Always great service too, the young girl working here is the sweetest. Don't forget to get a picture in front of their photo ops! This is such a fun activity to kick off spring and we love that it has become an annual tradition.

Such a great deal for fresh strawberries! We stopped by around 2PM to handpick our own strawberries. There is a few per person picking and buckets are provided, charged by a certain weight but not expensive at all. The lady who helped us was very nice and friendly, also gave us a tutorial/tips to picking them correctly. It's a decently big and open field but most of the strawberries towards the front were already picked so you have to walk a bit to get some. They also offer already picked strawberries to buy but it's more worth your money if you pick them yourself. Overall, a really great experience and would definitely stop by again! I brought gloves as I have sensory problems (recommend if you do as well) and bring water as it gets really hot depending on how long you're out.

Came here around like 10 ish on Saturday? Theres a decent small parking area, im not sure what will happen if its super busy tho. Glad to have found this place! Have a pretty big area for strawberries. Its a $3 entrance fee per person, they have a new "membership" card for 10$, unlimited entry until the 2025 season is over (October). It was $2.50 per lb. They provided buckets for us and were rly nice and sweet. Will come back bc we bought the membership card lol

We arrived a little after 9AM, and didn't know it opened at 9 because Google stated it opened at 10A. Glad we got there early because it was only one other family there and we were trying to beat the heat. First there was plenty of parking available, and the gentleman who worked there was kind. The sign shows entry fee is $3 per person and $2.50 per lb of strawberries. It was our first time going and I had so much fun! So many rows of strawberries to choose from and there were plenty of strawberries! They also different fruits (mangos and other berries) at the stand if you just wanted ready picked fruits. I can't wait to come back! It was such a peaceful experience and calming! Definitely bring your friends and family !

But the function is more like boutique farmer's market. There's not much variety of actual farmers, although there seems to be a pristine example of each category of agricultural goods -- honey, cheese, meat. But don't expect to get your green grocery shopping done here, and the variety within even basics like berries or greens is more limited than Sprouts or even Smart & Final. The food trucks are a sparse but typically mediocre and expensive. And the market is already too crowded. The big treat is the yard-long tube of popped corn that distracts the youngsters while mom and dad peruse the beeswax soaps. My biggest gripe is that the City likes these little demonstration projects, and makes no attempt to get real quality farm-to-fork food, or to coordinate it with the other efforts at Laguna/Big Horn or District 56. Good ideas, all of them, but pick one that works.

Old Elk Grove really needed this boost. The setup on Sunday has your basics: kettle corn, a food truck or two, fresh veggies, local cheeses and honey and some arts and crafts. But the extras did it for me. The coffee vendor, the loose leaf tea vendor, the vegan mayo/spread vendor- all fantastic. The organic produce was also reasonably priced. Parking is not a problem. There's a small paved lot across the street from the market, or a large dirt lot directly behind. Bonus is that you're in Old Elk Grove, which means you are walking distance to a handful of good brunch and lunch spots too.

However, I went with her anyways and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious things I found that are now my regular treats as well as how friendly the staff and other customers are here that it's really not a big deal that we stick out a lot, haha.. Specifically, I found this snack called Khatta Meetha, a very popular "Indian snack mix (namkeen) known for its balance of sweet ("meetha") and tangy or sour ("khatta") flavors" according to Google. So it's like a snack mix made of chickpea flour noodles (sev), fried rice flakes (poha), green peas, and roasted peanuts. The seasoning is what makes it so good, yes, it's definitely the combo of sweet and tangy that makes it so tasty. Anyways, they've got a ton of fresh produce, ethnic ingredients and frozen foods as well as plenty of pantry foods like large bags of basmati rice, giant cans/jars of ghee, etc. I don't really cook so I won't know what to do with any of these food items, but everything looks fresh and reasonably priced. All in all, a great place to get South Asian authentic ethnic ingredients and prepared foods, and the bakery sure looks like a great place for anyone with a sweet tooth. They even have a food truck out front with seating if you're looking for a delicious Indian meal.
