My first experience visiting Fog Willow Farm was as a parent chaperone during my son's kindergarten field trip, and it was such a wonderful day. We rode the bus from the school and checked in at the designated field trip area when we arrived. Since there were four classes, they split us into groups, which made everything feel organized and smooth. The kids absolutely loved the hay ride and getting a tour of the farm to see the layout. One child was so excited she almost fell over. Her water bottle fell but she was safe. We then visited the animals and learned about all the amazing things the farm does, which was both fun and educational. After the tour, the kids enjoyed time on the playground and had snacks. There were also shops and places to eat, which was great for families and chaperones. The bathrooms are port-a-potties. They do have hand washing stations. I had never heard of this farm before, but it truly exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back next year! It was only $5 per child and $15 for parents which wasn't bad. read more

The boys had so much fun running around and looking at the animals. Riding the train was fun and so was picking out pumpkins. There were plenty of farm animals to see and lots of petting opportunities. It was adorable to see how many babies they had! The pig and duck races were funny. We spend all day doing all sorts of activities from mining, mazes, playgrounds, watching pig races, duck races, petting goats, looking at the animals, riding the "train", eating yummy food and picking out pumpkins. Awesome adventure for the family. We came on November 2nd, the last day it was open for the year and it was amazing. I usually don't like paying entry to a pumpkin farm but the $12 went a long way. Free maze, free pumpkin smashing, free petting zoo, free pig and duck races, free hay ride. They had a nice gold mining area which you purchase a bag of rubble and you gold pan in their water chute and find treasures, super fun. The food was pretty good, I had a $6 made to order burger. My lady got a fresh squeeze lemonade with a show while they made it for $6. Stopped by the dessert barn and they do samples of all the fudges. I'll stop by next year with the fam. Fog Willow has been a fall tradition ever since my kids were teeny tiny! Our first visit was with my oldest in 2010 and now we have three kids, coming here for my youngest's first time who is 1. My husband and I absolutely love how this is a community type of pumpkin patch. It is perfect for any child (or adult) to fully immerse themselves into the autumn season! I've seen and heard how many parents don't like how there's not many rides or attractions here. Fog Willow is truly a farm to enjoy picking pumpkins, feeding and petting animals, riding the bumpiest ride in a train tractor, and eating decent food. This is actually what I love about their farm. It's not too overwhelming where you feel like you're at the county fair. Everyone here is extremely sweet and kind, they have plenty of photo ops, a playground to run your little ones energies out, pony rides, and even "The Big Dig" to go mining for some gold! I will admit though seeing the admission is now $12 per person 3 years and older hurt me a little inside but I know this economy is tough on everyone. Highly recommend coming here if you have little ones, looking to experience the pumpkin patch for the first time, or want to check out a new spot. See you next year! read more

Took my 14 and 10 year old boys here. We had so much fun and my boys asked to come back again. They fed the little goats as well as the bigger ones. Watched the pig race and duck race. This is a big nice pumpkin patch. Lots to see, people are friendly. Pig race is cute. They have hay ride but line was long when we went therefore we didn't get a chance to go on it. I recommend wearing long sleeves and pants, not shorts since there are a lot of bees and wasps (mostly wasps). I was bitten by one on my finger, it stung and kinda ruined the rest of my time there and stung for most of the day. They have plenty of parking, have wagons if you need them to transport your pumpkins. I do recommend that you arrive early if you like to avoid big crowds. Crowd starts arriving around 11am. Definitely recommend going here but be careful with bees and wasps. I'm giving 4 stars because of the wasps otherwise I would have given 5 stars. read more

This pumpkin patch was super cute. Parking is free, and admission is $12. Great for little kids. Decent entrance price. As soon as you walk in, there's a huge field of pumpkins surrounding a beautiful farm shed with hay for the kids to jump on. There's a train ride and animal petting stations for the kids. There's also a rock tumbling attraction as well. They have a smaller gift shop with a selection of delicious fudge. I wished they took better care of their candy and gift inventory though. They charge $12 for an adult to enter while there is nothing for an adult to really do. I was going to spend money on Fudge and lunch but decided not to because of the requirement to pay a ridiculous fee to enter. I did buy my daughter a bag of dirt for pan handling, which was advertised at $12.50 but cost $13.50 due to an incorrect 8% sales tax. read more

I used to rave about this place! It's always been such a fun and beautiful setup, and I have so many good memories here. My fiancé and I came for what we like to call a "date day," but unfortunately, it wasn't our favorite anymore. Hardly anything was open, which was disappointing since we were excited to see what's new. We tried the new duck races attraction, but instead of a warm welcome, we were insulted by a staff member who thought it was funny to call us adults acting like children. That really put a damper on the experience. On top of that, the cows clearly need fly spray, they looked so uncomfortable, and it was hard to watch. With a $24 entry fee, I expected more... it just isn't the same as it used to be. While the farm is still charming, I wish the value and care matched what it once was. read more

We've been going here for 6+ years and got the lil pickers club pass and this year we were forced to put our $8-10 size for a $6 size when card clearly states 10-15lb pumpkin. That's frustrating we spent time to pick pumpkins, stand in line for lemonade and popcorn then had to put pumpkins back and walk to the $6 area when we were already leaving. They should definitely post signs throughout to notify their loyal customers. So annoying. read more

We went on a field trip and the employees are mean! The owner there yells at the kids to sit down and to pay attention. The kids weren't acting up at all. Kids were just excited to be there. I don't recommend going at all. They don't care for children at all. I'm going to communicate this with the school. I wouldn't give them anymore business. I'm not the only parent that thought this. I have always heard about Fog Willow but had no idea that it was so close to home! It's such a cute little area and a great place to hang out at. On the weekends they have food but it was also be a nice way to just bring your own food and have a little picnic. They have plenty of picnic tables, most of which were in the shade during the afternoon, but there is also plenty of open grass to just pull out a picnic blanket. On weekdays you can still get some snacks and desserts, so we got a big cup of fresh squeezed lemonade and some homemade fudge to take home. Parking is free and the entrance fee is $8 per person, but our 1-year old was free. We arrived close to 4:30 on a weekday and stayed about an hour, but if you can stay longer and make a half day out of it, it'll be worth your entrance fee! We just wanted to take our son out somewhere close but brand new and this was the perfect afternoon activity. They have a lot of animals to see up close, and you can even buy some food to feed some of them. They are not shy on photo opportunities too! There are several backdrops to choose from, not to mention their huge picturesque pumpkin patch. Pricing on the pumpkins isn't too bad and there are even wagons all around that you can borrow to put all of your pumpkins in. I hope to make this place a yearly tradition, next time we'll come check it out on the weekend to get some food too! read more

We took advantage of our day off together and visited Fog Willow Farms. Returning after 9 years since our last visit the place has had some nice upgrades. The $12 fee includes most fun things including the hayride, Flying Swine Barrel Train and petting zoo. Highlights included friendly staff, meeting & petting Jellybean the 30 yr. old tortise, seeing 2 month old calfs and lots of other animals. Since it was Friday it was not too crowded, but enough kids so my nephew made friends at the adventure course and corn kernal house. All in all a nice local visit for some fall fun during a sunny 80 degree day in Wilton, CA. read more

We went there as part of the school field trip. What bothered me the most was I saw a sheep chained up and confined in a small rectangular space and the sheep wasn't able to move at all just to let people pet the sheep and as a display in a 100 degree weather. That is totally disturbing to me and hence the 1 star review. There were some negative reviews that mentioned the same thing about animals being mistreated, so I'm not the only person mentioning this. I really hope with my review, the poor sheep won't be chained up as a display anymore and they at least get to roam around when people are trying to pet them. The other thing that bothered me was some of the animal cages were smaller than I expected. The main activities were to see the farm animals, hay rides, and the a playground. The overall experience was just ok. But I won't be a returning customer until they stop putting chains on the poor sheep. read more

After years of annual visits, the animal cruelty I witnessed today has ended one of our favorite family traditions. Today there was a poor sheep tied up between two posts with a muzzle on its mouth so people could come over and pet it. Why? Who thought it was a good idea to literally trap an animal standing up where it couldn't even turn around and muzzle it so hundreds of kids could come over and pet it? That's awful. There was NO employee nearby supervising to make sure the sheep wasn't being abused either. The kids can go into the goat pens and pet them-the goats don't mind a bit, and that's plenty of one on one experience with livestock for little kids. No need to torture a sheep for their enjoyment. The look in that poor animals eyes was haunting. I was honestly angry with myself on the drive home for not taking the muzzle off and untying it! There were also 2 baby cows huddled together in the corner of a small enclosure connected to the new pig derby with a waist height fence separating them from all of the visitors. There wasn't enough room for them to scoot out of petting distance. Of course everyone was reaching right over and touching the poor things-there was even a baby poking them through the fence. When I say "baby cows"-I mean BABIES. One was the size of my very large Irishwolfhound/poodle mix. I guess the other option for these poor animals was a veal pen, and that's how the business feels ok exposing them to this overstimulation with no adult cow present? We come here to take a nice little walk and LOOK at animals and snap some fall pictures. We like to buy pumpkins and fudge and cookies here too. It's a nice little property, and the fudge is excellent. The workers are friendly. But seeing that poor sheep today has soured the whole experience for us, and we will NOT be going back. read more

Entrance fee for 2022 is $8 per person over age 3. Either come right when the farm opens or wait until the morning crowd leaves around noon for better parking and shorter lines for rides. The whole farm takes card payment so you don't have to worry about having cash. All rides are included with entrance fee, except the pony ride. Food for animals at the petting zoo $2-3 for a cone of pellets Pony Ride $10 for each ride of 5 mins (weekends only) Hot mini donuts $9 for a dozen (you can choose two flavors but pumpkin spice is the best IMO) Honest Juice Box $2.25 each Fresh Lemonade and kettle corn were popular items but I forgot to get the price. The food stall at the entrance sells grilled items like burgers and hotdogs. You can bring your own food. Just no alcohol and no cooking on the farm. The farm offers birthday packages if you want to hold a child's birthday at the picnic tables near the play area and hay bale obstacle. Would've given them 5 stars but the porta potties were extremely gross and dirty. Plan to use the restroom elsewhere or bring diapers even for your potty trained kids! read more

We went for my sons school field trip. & I was amazed! This is BY FAR the best pumpkin patch I have been to!! Lots of animals to look at. The staff was so nice. They had a little concession stand with some snacks, candy, mini donuts, juice boxes &&COFFEE There are picnic tables to have lunch at. There places to buy popcorn, lemonade and probably some other goodies. There was a cute little play ground area. In a different area there were haystacks to climb on. The pumpkins weren't like you cutting it off the vine. They were all nicely placed so you could walk around and pick which one looked best to you! Very nice pumpkin patch and spacious farm. If possible, come on a weekday to avoid the crowds. They offer a tractor and barrel ride, great for all ages, especially exciting experience for kids. Many baby animals to see and pet. Farm itself is very clean and well maintained. Lots of well thought out areas to take marvelous photos. There's plenty of savory and sweet food and snacks to choose from, all very reasonably priced. Pumpkins were also very competitively priced. -10 stars there is absolutely no safe food handling at the Wilton grill whatsoever. FILTY, FLIES, TOUCHING ALL THE UNCOVERED FOOD. Counter tops were covered with dried up condiments and goodness knows what else. someone dropped a hotdog bun and still presume to pick it up and still serve it in that moment I knew to walk away after waiting in line for 5 mins. If you're charging almost $15 a meal you would think the staff would have more care of cleanliness and better food preparation. The farm is great for kids who are under 8 other than that we definitely won't be returning . Hopefully they fix that issue with their staff on cleanliness on food handling and having more options of food stands. read more

I went here after hearing all the recommendations and what I showed up to was definitely disappointing. I watched the horse that was very dirty and scratch its naked eye on the very old and splintered wood. Sure they are farm animals and there will be flies everywhere but it looked as Though the stalls these animals were in were not being attended to. I feel like when it comes to a petting zoo usually people will go around atleast hourly and clean up the stalls. But let's be honest. There was no one in sight with these animals. Certain workers had horrible customer service skills. While the view was mostly nice to look at it was very sad to see how let down I was due to what I actually witnessed. I say get rid of the petting zoo if you can't be with the animals properly. read more

Real close to the homestead this little gem was a place we haven't visited in years. We had our grandson up and this was a must stop during his extra long weekend stay. We were all dressed up for SF Giants Orange Friday. We got there a little after 11:00 Friday but the were closed to the public while hosting a group of local school kids. We were going to come back later but the kind employee told us we were welcome to pass the time under the oak trees in the picnic grove. We had packed a picnic lunch so the was an excellent option for us. When the time came my wife went up with our little one to purchase tickets. Turns out we weren't alone and it took 10/15 minutes to get things paid for. The little guy wanted to jump straight to the pumpkins laid out in a very decorative pattern surrounding a late pergola bolsters with a hay bale maze for the kids to tromp on. We secured the big pumpkin of choice after several changes of mind. Our grandson then walked with us over to the selection of smaller, more unique pumpkins. He landed in three orange little one and a white one for painting back at home later in the day. We worked our way from there around the pond with some very cool water features toward the petting areas. The enclosures were self serve and we stopped first to see the goats. They ranged from babies to older ones and ones ready to give birth shortly. everything was going well and we made friends with a few. Then a grumpy older one gave my grandson the stank eye and my grandson was immediately wise to this and headed for the exit. He made it out and I continued to roam in hopes he would give it a second try. After a few minutes it was clear my grandson was over it. Mat that we worked our way down the line of animals. The ponies were cute and friendly at the fence but the fence was just the distance my grandson was comfortable with. After 5/10 minutes it was off to the next pen. This pen had chickens, roosters and sheep. The feathered one kept a distance but the sheep wit dreadlocks were docile and happy to have some attention. My grandson had a strike of courage / comfort and joined in with putting some love on Marley the sheep. Next stop was a pretty full chicken coup. It was a look only option and my grandson converted n both chicken as well as rooster and had the animals engaged in two way dialogue. It was so fine to watch. Next was the pig pen with three pooped out sows happy to be probed out on the cool dirt. They were close enough to touch s as of my grandson was fine giving them gentle pokes. Next stop was ponies who were happy to take in bunches of hay for feeding. My grandson was cool with this but called it good at a foot short of a proper feeding. I bridged the gap and took the hay he gathered and got it past his comfort zone to the horses mouth. We did this probably 25 times and then he was ready for the next station. Behind us was a big enclosure with a really large tortoise. Jelly Bean was a thirty year old tortoise who came out of his home and walked the perimeter my grandson touched his shell and called it good. Little guy was pooped and we headed toward the front. He eyed a play ground and spent some time on the slide which was a quick one. After about 15 minutes of play he came to us C and said it was time to walk home. At that we paid for our collection of pumpkins and made way to the car. It was a great time out. Very affordable and a nice well laid out space. The staff was sparse but kind and helpful. We never made it to the hayride, maybe next time. All in all a very fun time at a cute farm. We would absolutely return next year if the little guy visits in October. read more
