If you want wimpy chicken tacos then this place is for you. Went to the food truck by Pleasant Hill BART and boy what a disappointment. 2 for $6. I had a hard time finding the chicken, there was more lettuce than anything. These were the wimpiest tacos ever! Saw these guys at Todo Santos Park in Concord and ordered the Grilled 5 Spice Chicken $9 and a bag of garlic chips for $2. I noticed how heavy my order was when I went to pick it up from the window. I peeked inside and I noticed that more than half of my to-go container was filled with rice. I like rice and all but the rice to chicken ratio was a disappointment. The chicken bits was extremely dry and I couldn't taste any of the 5 spices. Most of the pieces were boneless except for one. The meal also contained a side salad which was pretty plain. I tried their lemongrass beef slider and it was fantastic although the lemongrass was so assertive. Later on. when I chewed more bites, the hot peppers was building and then the flavors were complementing each other. This slider was unexpected and became a better burger when I finished it. At that time, they serve grilled carne Asado tacos, veggie and pork lumpias, This food truck is worth it and like the variety of Asian fusion. Was excited to try the five spice grilled chicken from the yummi BBQ truck. Whoa was I disappointed. The chicken was more like boiled chicken very lightly seasoned (bland) with 5 spice sauce. Had the orange chicken over rice. And once before had their tacos (beef/chicken). Would have to say the food was good, but not great. It has potential, they just need to do two things. 1. Lower the price by a third. For what you get, they are charging about 1/3rd way too much for the amount / quality of the food. 2. For the orange chicken, add a little more sauce and some herbs, like cilantro or green onion or crispy garlic chips to it... something to add a punch of flavor to it. The tacos I had before were good, but again too small for the price and were a little bland, though they looked great. My worst food truck experience ever! It was food truck night in a small town. I waited 1 hour with about 12 people in front of me. The lady at the cashier could never figure out what to do so the guy who does all the cooking had to stop to help her. Every time I saw him touch the iPad and people's money, he would go right back to handling all the food without handwashing or putting on gloves. When it was my turn to order, the lady could not get my order correct after I repeated everything 5 times. I had to help her add up everything in my order, and she still overcharged me 2 tacos. I was hoping that at least the food would be good but my entire family disliked the food and had to have a second dinner instead elsewhere. Went here during the Bay area night market today. Wait time is as long as 1 hour to order and another hour and a half to wait for them to make it. When we got our food there was still a long line and it doesn't surprise me that the food was rushed... Or at least the rice was. Rice was still uncooked. food takes FOREVER to come out of this truck, at least 15 minutes. lots of salad for a $8 chicken bowl, they added a $1.75 for using a credit card, im used to street trucks adding $.50 cents or $1, but come on $1.75?! no thanks had better tasting food in other places. be careful if you're on a short 10-15 minute break and think you can quickly run to this truck for some fast food.... be prepared to wait... oh by the way to the onwner/worker.... get a bigger ladle for your adobo sauce... you seriously spent like 45 seconds on one adobo bowl puting sauce on it make the truck more efficient as far as cooking times and food prep and you will do better read more

This is simple fusion fare. We had the chicken tacos, spicy beef tacos, sweet and spicy chicken on rice, and beef ribs. The food was all tasty, though nothing mind-blowing. We were at the A's game, so having food that's tasty instead of a bit gross is relatively mind-blowing. The line was long and the wait once ordered was too, but there were huge lines throughout the stadium, and my food was cooked to order. How can I complain? Complaints? There was less meat than I'd like. The portions probably need about 50% more than given, especially on the ribs, which have a large amount of bone. Also, Square is a pretty mediocre way of doing a lot of credit card business. It's too slow. Lastly, the taco containers should have lids, at least as the game. Visited the truck in San Ramon, near Whole Foods. The Orange Chicken with rice and salad is super tasty. The chicken has a light sweet flavor with good texture. The rice has a nice sweetness and is cooked perfectly. The side salad nicely accompanies the meal but it is regular bag salad nothing spectacular. For 9$ it is a good deal. read more

This review is too long delayed. We requested Aris and his team to cater for our wedding reception in October 2015. We requested a short-listed menu of Veggie Lumpia, Spicy Beef Taco, Veggie Pancit, Chicken Wings, and the Pork Adobolicious. For many of our guests, this was their first taste of Filipino food and we were very happy with how things turned out. The Yummi BBQ team had a great system in place for quickly getting our guests served so the line was never long and everyone got to try a little bit of everything (and loved it!). The food was excellent. We made sure to grab a taste of everything and we definitely regretted having to leave our table to take pictures because it meant stepping away from the beef tacos and chicken wings. The pork adobolicious was a crowd-pleaser and many of our guests went back for more. The Mrs. also found it adorable that their chalkboard menu included a drawing of the two of us on top of a cake. Little detail, but it made a huge difference! It showed they were really all about creating that family experience for everyone. Our guests and even our other vendors commented positively on the service they received from Aris and team. We are very happy we discovered Yummi BBQ since they were one of the many excellent vendors that made our night unforgettable. read more

Tried them last week and ate Lumpia Shanghai and Five Spiced Chicken with Rice. I think the lumpia is really good although I feel like I can get more elsewhere. And the five spiced chicken was yummy.
