I did enjoy the flavor and texture of the scrambled eggs, and there was a generous portion of seafood that came with. The lobster pad thai was great because of the large shrimps and ample amount of lobster. However, it didn't have that savory or spice component. It was okay, but I would skip it next time. I am bored with the traditional American breakfast. It had freshening up my taste bud. The crab egg benedict doesn't have the greasy crab cake like other. The hollandaise sauce is not heavy. They opt for a round toast instead of English muffin. It made the entire dish tastes better. My DH ordered the lobster benedict. Again instead of English muffin, it surprised us with waffle. No soggy feeling when eating with soft boiled eggs and sauce. The Vietnamese coffee is very authentic. Pancake and waffle are amazingly fluffy. Love the buttery maple syrup. Our family was planning a surprise birthday lunch for my mom's milestone birthday and Pearl, the owner, happily acknowledged and accepted my request and guided me along the way to plan a lovely birthday lunch for about 30 people or so. The ambiance of the place was bright, inviting, spacious enough for a family gathering (there were about 30 people in our party) and everyone was able to be seated with enough room for the food catering and cake/gifts table. From the "Good Vibes Only" sign to the roses wall decorations, I was pleased with the whole simple yet lovely setup! Additionally, with 30 people grouped into families coming for the lunch, I was concerned with parking and the area where One House is, I believe there was still enough parking on a busy Saturday. Also, great landmark is that there is a 7-Eleven super nearby! One House closed the place for our private party for 3 hours. Next, there was a good enough amount of food for about 30 people (4 appetizers, 6 entrees--I am enticed to try more of their menu on a regular brunch outing and visit again), including unlimited drinks (water, sodas, thai tea, fruit green teas), while still having the separate mocktail menu available to our guests as separate charges). Everyone noted how lovely the food was. I chose a menu of a mixture of protein (chicken, fish, pork), and different types of dishes in noodles, soup-based menu items. Appetizers were refreshing and not too heavy--fresh avocado roll, coconut cream chicken soup, chicken satay, the house beet salad. The elegant dishes and cutlery were also highly appreciated! When I finally got one waitress' attention, I asked for a replacement napkin since mine got blown off my lap by the air conditioner that was blowing pretty hard. She said okay. She walked away and then came back out with a customer's order and forgot about my napkin. It took her a while before she noticed me looking at her and realized she forgot to bring me my replacement napkin. She did finally bring me several napkins. It appears that parking may be harder to find close by the restaurant during peak hours because the restaurant is located in a strip mall that doesn't have a huge parking lot. read more

One house platter- This was good, but you can probably skip this one. This dish is similar to Vietnamese plates that include vermicelli, grilled pork chops, and egg rolls. Everything was still delicious! It came with a lot of veggies and you can make lettuce wraps with all the goods it came with. They politely let us know dine-in wasn't possible, which we completely understood, so we ordered our food to go. Service was fast, and everything seemed great! When I got home, the food tasted delicious, but my curry was missing the white riceeeee :( . It happens, mistakes are normal, so I called to let them know. Instead of simply acknowledging it, they insisted the rice was in the bag. The food was good, but the lack of accountability and the inconvenience really took away from the experience. The pork belly in curry was another standout--rich, flavorful, and a total hit at the table. One dish that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the lobster fried rice. The presentation was beautiful, but it had a bit too much pineapple and not enough lobster or protein overall. Drinks were beautifully presented and fun, but just a heads-up: if you're looking for something strong, they don't serve hard liquor. Went here for Valentine's Day dinner. They had a set course menu for 2 for $110, where you can select an appetizer, a salad, two entrees, and a dessert. We took our daughter so there were 3 of us. They were very accommodating and allowed us to have 3 set courses for $165. Besides the extra entree, we also got to choose an extra salad and dessert. The Food: Every dish came out extra good looking, fresh, and tasty. For the appetizer, we ordered a tuna tower, and they added an extra crab Rangoon which was good too. For salad we had both the beet and arugula salads. For entrees we ordered seafood paradise, lamb chop and braised beef. I would say the lamb chop was the most flavorful, with flavor that fairly popped in your mouth. Braised beef was soft and deep, and perfectly spiced. Seafood paradise was ok too but I think it looks better than it tasted. The curry in all three were slightly spicy but not too bad. For dessert, we ordered the pandan cake and tiramisu. Both beautiful to look at and so yummy! The service: Service was attentive and kind. There are love songs piped throughout our dinner. The whole place is decorated with hearts. This review is for the service. They were sweet and attentive. I came for my birthday celebration with my family of 5 and parents. We ordered a lot of food, got drinks and paid 20% tip. My mom asked after we paid if they could bring something out to sing happy birthday with a candle. We informed them before we seated it was my birthday celebration, so we expected some acknowledgement before paying. Now the response they gave my mom was mind blowing. They said yes but needed to see my ID! I didn't even get asked for my glass of wine. I was approached about my ID and they said because my birthday was a few days before me they can't celebrate my bday. I was in shock. First because that has never occurred in my life with dining. Second, my birthday fell on a weekday where my kids have a ton of extracurricular classes and so while I wanted to eat here for my birthday- this was the closest date to go. I'm still in shock. Lots of great options to choose from ranging from mocktails to cocktails! A lot of the drinks looked really good but I decided to try out the Purple Oracle! One House Bistro has an absolutely gorgeous interior with fancy table settings, chandeliers, flowers, and decor. The menu offers a creative selection of beautifully-presented Thai-inspired fusion dishes. We started with the Tuna Tower, a layered cylinder of chopped avocado, mango, ahi tuna, and masago, seasoned with sweet soy sauce and served with crispy rice paper chips; and the Papaya Salad, made of shredded papaya, peanuts, tomatoes, carrots, lime dressing, and steamed prawns. My favorite dish came from the Chef's Specials menu--the Soft Shell Crab Crispy Rice Salad, made of broken crispy rice balls seasoned with fermented sausage, and topped with a battered soft shell crab, romaine lettuce leaves, and herbs. The rice was perfectly crispy and had a nice tangy, savory flavor from the sausage, balanced by the refreshing crunch of the raw veggies and herbs! Another solid dish was the Sea Bass, made of a crispy fillet served over a creamy red coconut curry sauce along with a colorful medley of bite-sized vegetables including asparagus, broccoli, carrot, purple cabbage, and squash. The only dish that was a miss for me was the Lobster Kao Soi, normally one of my favorite Northern Thai dishes made of egg noodles in a coconut curry broth, luxuriously topped with a whole lobster tail. The presentation of the dish was stunning, as it featured "Flying Crispy Noodles," which stood up and held a pair of chopsticks in the air. However, the thick coconut curry broth was far too salty and difficult to eat. Despite this small setback, the food and atmosphere of this restaurant were truly amazing, and the service was super friendly and hospitable too! read more
