Chicken and waffles... chicken portion is huge... love it!
Cryz G.

Amazing everything. Busy but got sitted with in few minutes. Food is a 10/10 , service is good 9/10 maybe just for servers to visit tables more than once or twice for coffee refills or any other things we might need other than that everything is great. Place is not too loud and looks clean.

I was hanging with my friends and they wanted to grab some brunch. They suggested trying this places so we gave it a go. The wait can be pretty long. It took us about 30 min before we were seated and we arrived around 1200. We just hung out in the parking lot until our name was called. The menu is pretty straightforward and of course, any brunch place I have to try their eggs Benedict. My usual go to is the Eggs Florentine (I prefer going the meatless options when it comes to my Benny) but the crispy chicken looked visually delicious. Crispy Chicken Benedict: This was as salivating as pictured. The chicken was super crispy, despite being underneath the Hollandaise sauce. Oh, and the sauce itself was perfect. It was their spicier version, so it had a bit of a kick after the second wave. The rest of the Benny is what I expect, the English muffins baked correctly and the eggs poached perfectly. The potatoes were crispy and not too oily as well. Overall, I had a great time at this restaurant. A bit small but it holds its charm. I can see myself coming back here again.

Came here on a Friday right before noon and it was packed. We got seated at the bar. Got a California burger and chicken & waffle. Both were quite big portion. Chicken was piping hot and very crispy. Burger was decent. Loved the fries. When we left at 12:35, there were less people inside! So maybe people like to do brunch on fridays? Overall, the dishes here seem bigger than the one in Walnut Creek but I didn't order the same dishes so I can't compare . And they didn't raise price in 2 yrs so it's good. I would come back if in the area.

My wife and I decided to go and have brunch yesterday because we were both off (This is rare..lol). We decided on this spot because we love their food and the bottomless mimosas..yummy. We checked on via Waitlist app on their ipad (You can check in online as well prior to coming). It said the wait would be 6 to 16 mins long. We waited less than 5. We sat at the bar, which is towards the back of the restaurant. We did not mind though because we usually get a table. Our waitress was June and she was super nice. She obtained our orders not too long after we sat. She also kept the mimosas flowing (You get 60 mins to enjoy). She was very personable and kept is smiling and laughing the entire time. We also met Jay who briefly serviced us, but talked with me throughout our time there. He was super nice too. Our food arrived hot and exactly how we ordered it. Everything tasted so good. I ordered a California Burger and my wife ordered a omlette, ciabatta bread and potatoes. We were both very satisfied. Lol..I had to take gimme half of my burger and fries tho because I got full. This spot is cool.

What a cute little breakfast spot! I really wish I could eat more sugary things as their pancakes look amazing!! I settled for the Gai Gra Prow and my friend got the eggs and potatoes. Service was very prompt and quick. my dish was very flavorful. Those pancakes though, I will be back to try them with more company!

I had a late brunch/ early breakfast on my birthday. We went around 1:45ish. Large crowds were leaving as we were coming in. We were seated quickly. I ordered the garlic noodles & prawns & peach mimosa. The food was good. Will be back.

We came here for brunch on a weekday, and even though it was packed, we were seated right away. The food was fantastic, and despite being very busy, the staff was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

In all fairness, the restaurant is small, so if you don't like sitting close to other diners, this is probably not the restaurant for you. However, I LOVE this brunch restaurant. I have been multiple times and it is a small cute brunch restaurant with an array of options. I have liked everything I've ordered from there and am always impressed with how fast they seat you even when they are busy. I would highly recommend for a small group outing for brunch. I recommend starting with a Chick Pops, it's an appetizer that is basically the chicken and waffles in bite form without having to fully commit. The Cloud potatoes are delicious. The servers are also always very nice.

Enjoyed my delicious food, restaurant is really clean and server was very friendly. Will come back

The Teens bacon

The Teen enjoyed her waffles and bacon. Unfortunately, my breakfast sandwich wasn't what I expected, the bread was a little too soggy for my taste, and the french fries were OK. Service was cool. The ambience was chill & everybody seemed to be enjoying each other's company. Not sure if I'll go back cause that was my second time.

My friend Suzette got the lemony pancakes and they were light as air!

Crab Benedict with crispy potatoes is soooo scrumptious! I don't know how they manage to make the potatoes crispy in the outside but fluffy soft inside. Whatever the secret it works! Service is awesome too. Very nice staff. Casual, friendly vibe. Definitely going to be regulars!

We came around 9am on a Saturday and were able to snag the table outside since we had our pup. It wasn't too busy, but as we were waiting for our food, people were consistently arriving. The staff were super friendly and checked on us often. I ordered the vanilla latte and hubby ordered the caramel latte, both came out extra hot, thick foam and yummy. We ordered the small chicken and waffle plate and eggs Benedict Florentine. The chicken was so crunchy and delicious! The aioli it came with was creamy and a little tangy, it really was delicious. The eggs Benedict was good, it just needed a tad bit more salt. The waitress even gave our pup water. Will definitely be back to try other dishes.

Real crab in the Crab Benedict

Coming to this spot I was reluctant to try Thai brunch. Growing up, we didn't have any real brunch dishes that we considered breakfast. In Asian culture, food was heavy on the rice. So, I stuck to what I knew and got a pad kra pow (which is kind of breakfast-y and also tried a crab Benedict. The pad kra pow was DELICIOUS! Just like mama made and was truly an Asian breakfast. Nostalgia rushed back to me at first bite. The crab Benedict was also so good and made with real crab . The place was bustling but some how the waiters really had some crowd control. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and my visit. Snaps for this Thai brunch spot.

Yes, Bring your pet to hangout together!

Can large parties be accommodated?

I've seen them set up tables for a large party in the tent in front of the restaurant.

Are bottomless mimosas available on weekdays? If so, is it available until closing at 3?

Like already said, mimosas are available during the week. They have four different flavors and the waitstaff circulates often. I don't agree with one Yelper who said the ambience and location are not good. 🙄 I HEARTILY disagree. There is a good mix…

Do they have bottomless mimosas on weekdays?

They say it's bottomless, but they totally limit you and try to avoid servicing you.

No different stay, different name, and different owners.

Is there free parking?

Yes!!

Do you take reservation on Sunday's for large parties?

We opted to not sit outside, rather inside right by the exterior seating to still get the vibes but also some AC. I love places like Lafayette where all the businesses support each other and help each other grow. Their brews on tap are mostly all local, and we grabbed some Pilsners sourced from Lafayette's new brewery, Western Flyer. So fresh and crisp. Can't wait to also check that spot out. Food-wise, we came in mid-afternoon and grabbed a Kale Pancetta salad (they pre-split the salad for us on two plates which was so nice), and for the mains, we both grabbed the Tuna Melt with fries. The salad was delicious. I'm def a tuna melt girly, and I loved the addition of the ciabatta (?) as the bread option, so fresh as well. This tuna melt comes with grapes fyi, and a few other elements mixed in. I absolutely loved it, just sharing though as I know how some tuna stans like their tuna :) This spot is clean, spacious, and perfectly situated in walking distance downtown. Would love to come back for brunch with a group of friends, or even again during the upcoming Lafayette Art & Wine Fest. Food is good, service is quick and friendly, and vibes are right. Metered parking located across the street.

I'm glad it did because she said there were a lot of people waiting outside at the PH location. By the time we made it to WC, our tables were ready. There were no long wait times for anyone who came after us, maybe 5 minutes. Crowds started thinning out around noon. This was the 1st time any of us dined at The Hangout and it did not disappoint. The staff was very inviting and friendly. The person who took care of us was very helpful with explaining menu items and making suggestions. We were a large party so they had to split our tables but we were right to each other. There is a spacious dining area as well as outdoor seating. Standout dishes: Chicken & waffle - BIG portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. It was so good, the entire plate was wiped clean. Crispy chicken with garlic noodles - delicious combination. The garlic noodles were made with real garlic, not just powder. They need to offer this as a side dish. Chicken pops - chopped up, sample size version of the chicken and waffles. Perfect for sharing. We will definitely come back to this location if we're in the area.

I'm updating my review I've been back twice since Mother's Day and Sunday I came for dollar oyster…read moreday ! They did not disappoint! I was expecting maybe smaller oysters for the deal but no ! They were big creamy fresh oysters that you'd get any other day but for a dollar ! It's only for Sunday Monday while supplies last ! Wences you guys will be seeing me more often . We also tried the seafood grill which comes with salmon halibut scallops prawns topped with a creamy lemon sauce . Grilled veggies and polenta . First impression I was skeptical of the polenta because it looked like corn bread but you take one bite it melts like butter in your mouth . So creamy . The flavor amazing ! Fish was cooked to perfection . I would have liked the sauce to have more of that lemon in there but nothing a squeeze of lemon yourself can't fix . The citrus habanero scallops .... Were also cooked to perfection . Not chewy at all . A little underwhelming with the flavor description though . There was not a lick of habanero or any spice whatsoever or citrus . It was a very sweet sauce . Wasn't bad just not what was described my only complaint . And being they come by themselves maybe six instead of four would be nice ?? Besides that there are soooo many things I'm excited to try from the menu . I think my next choice will be the lamb chops !!! Waiters are always supper friendly and I'm not sure if it's the manager or owner but he too is always around when I come and is very attentive as well always checking and conversing with the customers . Wences is nice for indoor or outdoor seating ! It's family friendly or even date night . We sat out on the covered patio and got to enjoy some World Cup during dinner as well. Our meal: Non alcoholic cucumber pineapple drink sounded good but was lacking in flavor. Didn't get the taste of any juice. The fried calamari was very over cooked and we should have sent it back. You know it's over cooked when the tentacles have to be spit out and the body parts aren't chewable. Beet salad wasn't bad. Generous chunks of red and golden beets at the bottom, topped with arugula, a quarter sliced avocado and some candied nuts. The flavors were solid. The mussels were good with a little kick. The mussels were cooked perfectly and the beard was gone. It's served with 4 points of a cheese type bread. The bread wasn't toasty. It would have been better with fries. The tempura oysters were our favorite of the meal. Light breading served with cocktail sauce and a soy based dip. We liked the soy based dip. Service was good, parking convenient.
