We live forty minutes away, and it's worth the ride every time. Our party of seven lined up, placed our orders, and the kitchen got to work. Entrees and sides prepared perfectly, right down to sauce on the side for the seventh entree. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Mike G. I had the opportunity to thank him for years of great eating. Furthermore, I noticed the sign of a great leader: When it got busy, he jumped in and helped his amazing staff. He leads by example, and it shows. We all had various forms of rice bowls and pitas. Of special note this visit: The sides! The pork and chicken souvlaki are simply divine. The oven roasted Greek potatoes seems like they're right out of your favorite rah-ra's oven. Full of flavor, and mind-blowing. The rice pudding and baklava, as my SIL said, ..."took a 98 point visit and made it a 100 point visit...". My thanks to Mike G. and the amazing staff for a wonderful meal. The Greek fries are my absolute favorite, especially with their amazing ranch. I also love their special Apolis sauce -- it is so good and goes with everything. I highly recommend the quesadilla too. I get mine with cheese and meat only, and it is always fresh and delicious. The lamb chops are also amazing if you are looking for something a little more traditional, but still easy and accessible on the go. Overall, Apolis is consistently delicious, fresh, and one of those places I keep coming back to. Highly recommend!

Also for dessert was mango ice cream and rice pudding. There was a fried dough soaked in sugar sweet liquid, Gulab jamon. Very delicious. We wanted actual Middle Eastern food so we chose the Kabob Q side. Cleanliness is an issue. Tables weren't cleaned off and it smelled like old trash. Both of us got a Falafel Bowl. It's $7.99 and comes with fries, rice, or salad. This also has the choice of 4 toppings. Among the ones we chose were vegetables that sounded good on it. These included cucumbers and olives. Certainly we could get back here. It has pretty big portions. Huge portion. -samosas 5 - I got one beef and one potato. They were both delicious. -kebabs 3.5 - he gave me two big kebabs but they did not taste freshly made. I'm no stranger to kebabs and I usually like my kebabs to be tender and juicy. These were semi tough and kind of dry inside. I can see the spices in them but they would taste even better new.

Perfectly seasoned, but for me, it requires a little more salt (which is personal preference) and a pop of acid like lemon to bring out its true flavor. Overall, a really comforting, rich soup without being heavy or cloying. Then came the Moroccan seasoned potatoes - oooooweeee! These were little nuggets of pure deliciousness. Seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside and every bite kept you wanting to go back for more. Then the lamb shank tagine - ummmm, excuse me?!?! It was tasty, but I wish the carrots were cooked more to soften them. The mixed grill platter had chicken and beef kabobs, as well as something like a kefta (ground meat) kabob. The meats and rice were good, although the beef and chicken could have been more tender and juicy. The white sauce was a nice accompaniment. The lamb shank was excellent; nice tender meat, tasty rice, and delicious supplemental flavors from the figs and apricots. Overall, a very nice lunch.
