    Mixed Grill Dinner
    Bethany J.

I loved it here!! The service was fast and everything is affordable and well worth it for the amount of food you get. We order the mixed grill dinner with a side of falafels and it was all delicious! Our favorites of the trio were the chicken and the kufta. I was surprised to find two different types of rice but both were delicious!!! The space is a bit small with about 5 tables, but they have tables outside as well. I am so happy to find this spot and will definitely be back!

Great pick for a quick lunch meal during hours. The ingredients are fresh and rich in flavor. It is indeed a local favorite because of the friendly staff and prompt nature of business.

Had to grab a quick bite in between activities on a busy Saturday. Love, loved the kefta kebab wrap and would get that again but curious to try other menu items. Not a whole lot of seating there but easily take out or dine in.

My new favorite for Middle Eastern food. First, they make their pita bread daily, and it shows, infinitely better than any store bought or any restaurant I've tried in the area. Fluffy and hot and a little bit of fresh gooey stretch. Great for dipping in their delicious Hummus or Babagaboush ( which has a nice Smokey note)The falafel is also the best around ( take that Pitaville!) made to order, it's not the least bit oily and nice and crunch on the outside. I also love the kabobs here very juicy and well seasoned. Prices are very reasonable and portions generous and the service is friendly.

My first time here. I ordered the chicken wrap, lentil soup, beef kubba, and Baba Ghanouj. Everything was so tasty and highly recommended for this new restaurant. I will come back trying other meals for sure! The boss was very friendly.

    Kufta Kabob Sandwich

This is located close to the Cinemark movie theater, it's actually in between Legends and Ike & Oak. This place is small and has plenty of seating. It wasn't busy when we went on a Sunday for lunch. We ordered kufta kabob plate -lunch special, kufta kabob sandwich, stuffed falafel, and Dubai chocolate. The lentil soup that came with the lunch special had the perfect amount of salt and warms your belly on a cold day. The kufta kabob meat had a savory flavor, nothing was overpowering. The meat was moist and tender. French fries are crispy and go great with any of the sauces provided. Stuffed falafel was good, the first time having that. I recommend getting the Dubai chocolate for dessert. It's sweet but not super sweet. It has pistachio in it. Prices were fair for the amount of food they give you.

The tahini sauce was delicious! The chicken kebab platter is what really had me salivating. Seasoned, moist and fresh off the grill. Legit some of the best chicken I've ever had. The garlic sauce was an added bonus but really didn't even need to use it. The chicken was that good on its own. Suffice to say I'll be back haha.

Unfortunately when I went on a Friday afternoon the dining area was closed. Looked like they were filming and taking pictures. They were in the kitchen too. Anyway, I placed an order to go and less than 10 minutes later I was out the door. Ordered the BAM cheeseburger and small fries. A little pricey but then everything is. The mixture of beef and lamb is luxurious. Great blend and let's hear it for a good old fashioned char burger! The spices and sauce are subtle yet distinctive and unique. Wonderful flavors throughout. The fries are the larger/thick cut that I usually don't enjoy, but these were fried perfectly and had a great texture. Now I'm going to be nit picky on the build of the burger. And this is obviously personal preference. The burger patty is a generous size. However, the cheese was so melted and thin, I barely noticed. The onion was a raw white onion and also a generous cut. I would prefer a red onion or grill them. As it was, the onion kind of dominated the flavor. The tomato, pickles, and lettuce were all good, which added up to a tall build. Finally, a brioche bun. I know, the world loves a brioche bun. On a burger, I don't want the extra sweetness of brioche. Give me a good old potato bun or sesame seed bun instead. Nothing bad about any of the above. Great service, fast and friendly. I look forward to the dining room open and trying a gyro plate! I'll be back for sure.

Background: It was our son's birthday, MOST of the time, birthday dinners are home-cooked family affairs...his choice this year: Apolis run! We live forty minutes away, and it's worth the ride every time. Our party of seven lined up, placed our orders, and the kitchen got to work. Entrees and sides prepared perfectly, right down to sauce on the side for the seventh entree. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, Mike G. I had the opportunity to thank him for years of great eating. Furthermore, I noticed the sign of a great leader: When it got busy, he jumped in and helped his amazing staff. He leads by example, and it shows. We all had various forms of rice bowls and pitas. Of special note this visit: The sides! The pork and chicken souvlaki are simply divine. The oven roasted Greek potatoes seems like they're right out of your favorite rah-ra's oven. Full of flavor, and mind-blowing. The rice pudding and baklava, as my SIL said, ..."took a 98 point visit and made it a 100 point visit...". My thanks to Mike G. and the amazing staff for a wonderful meal. It was greater than great, and for a family birthday meal, I wouldn't want anything less. Until next time...tk

Kabob Q is another place for this cuisine in Willowbrook. Has fairly good portions on the various preparations such as bowls. The prices aren't bad as long as you don't order a lot. Came while driving by and thought to stop here because we had never been here. It has a kind of interesting concept as it's like it's two restaurants in one. These are connected to each other and pretty much are the same place. On the one side is this with the Middle Eastern food. The other side has pizza. It offers toppings such as falafel. We wanted actual Middle Eastern food so we chose the Kabob Q side. Cleanliness is an issue. Tables weren't cleaned off and it smelled like old trash. Both of us got a Falafel Bowl. It's $7.99 and comes with fries, rice, or salad. This also has the choice of 4 toppings. Among the ones we chose were vegetables that sounded good on it. These included cucumbers and olives. Certainly we could get back here. It has pretty big portions. The place is kind of dirty, and the food isn't as good as other places, and it makes sense that prices are as low as they are here because it's not as high of a quality.

The most gracious and humble hosts - paying attention to every detail and stopping at nothing to bring whatever the customer wants to fruition. We don't realize that the place closes at 8:00 pm, and just kept chomping and socializing - they never once pointed it out to us. I begin with them because they were the friendliest folks, and their service was truly remarkable. Then comes the food - my goodness, the food. Let's begin with the Harira. Perfectly seasoned, but for me, it requires a little more salt (which is personal preference) and a pop of acid like lemon to bring out its true flavor. Overall, a really comforting, rich soup without being heavy or cloying. Then came the Moroccan seasoned potatoes - oooooweeee! These were little nuggets of pure deliciousness. Seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside and every bite kept you wanting to go back for more. Then the lamb shank tagine - ummmm, excuse me?!?! What do you mean the meat is like butter? It literally falls off the bone and dissolves in your mouth. Rich, fatty, unctuous and truly a delight. The bed of couscous it came with was also great - made better by the sauce from the lamb shank. The highlight of this plate were the roasted prunes that are part of the sauce. Sweet, jammy prunes cooked into the sauce made them just truly a delightful mouthfeel in comparison to the couscous and the scrumptious meat. To top it all off, the cherry on top, is their comforting Moroccan mint tea. So very fresh and the perfect end to an absolutely DELIGHTFUL meal. Highly recommended!!!

The gentleman serving us seemed to be the only one there, but he was friendly. We ordered a taktouka sampler, mixed grill platter, and lamb shank tagine. If you go to a Moroccan restaurant, you've got to get tagine. It took a little while for the food to come out, but overall it was excellent. The taktouka sampler was full of veggies. It was tasty, but I wish the carrots were cooked more to soften them. The mixed grill platter had chicken and beef kabobs, as well as something like a kefta (ground meat) kabob. The meats and rice were good, although the beef and chicken could have been more tender and juicy. The white sauce was a nice accompaniment. The lamb shank was excellent; nice tender meat, tasty rice, and delicious supplemental flavors from the figs and apricots. Overall, a very nice lunch.
