Second time trying Uzbek food but first time here. In a small strip mall, the restaurant with table service was nicely decorated. My friend and I wanted to try a couple dishes so shared the salad with warm eggplant pieces, amazing!! For the main entrees we tried a chicken and beef dish. Loved the fried chicken but the beef was a little tough. Two out of three I'd get again. Service was prompt and friendly staff.

Decided to try a new Uzbek restaurant that opened a few months ago and so glad we stopped in! Decided to get an overall sampler and it was a great deal. It included 2 manti, kefta kabob, grilled chicken and beef shank with French fries, grilled peppers and carrot and cabbage salad. The fruit tea was addicted and for dessert we had a white chocolate coconut cake. If you're in the area it was a great meal for the price.

Caravan is fantastic! The food is incredibly fresh and delicious, with perfectly cooked and seasoned meats. I especially enjoyed the tomato cucumber salad and the lamb soup topped with dough. Although there were two different vinegar options on the table, I found the soup flavorful enough without needing much. Overall, a great dining experience! The water is bottled and was free not entirely sure why when they should have Lake Michigan tap water but whatever totally good meal

Food is always delicious and great prices! The eggplant is crispy on outside and tender on the inside. Service is always pleasant and accomodating. Calm elegant ambiance. So many great options you won't regret trying the food.

Yet another Central Asian restaurant in the Chicagoland area! It's been fun trying them out. So far I've tried Anjir, Chinar, Jannat, and Sorry Mommy. Now we tried Caravan. Caravan is located in a strip mall, to the far left. Parking is decent. When we went inside, we didn't see a worker, so we seated ourselves. It turns out there was only one server taking/delivering orders. Service was friendly enough. There are about eight tables inside, mostly four-seaters but one larger table with eight chairs. The interior is nothing fancy. Anjir and Chinar feel nicer. Caravan didn't feel like the type of place where you could have a cozy conversation. Oddly, the other dozen or so customers were all men; we were the only family with a child. The table settings were decent with proper plates and silverware. We ordered plov, manty, and chuchvara. The plov was a bit dry, but thankfully not as greasy as other places. I suppose this was a healthier plov since it didn't have overly fatty meat. The manty was on par with other places, although I feel Anjir has the best manty so far. The chuchvara was somewhat disappointing because the soup broth was nearly flavorless (compared to Jannat); however, the dumplings inside were excellent. Overall, not a bad option, but not my favorite from the five Uzbek restaurants I've tried so far

Awesome food & service. Everything tasted great, & the coffee & apricot juice were refreshing. Will definitely be back.

Food was uniquely good. First time here and I've already recommended to my sister. You have to try the Fruit Tea, most unusual.

So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

Normally I'm used to wonton soup also having noodles and theirs does not. Flavors were OK, felt like both dishes were missing spices. Everything was cooked perfectly though. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from here and need to try others instead.

I begin with them because they were the friendliest folks, and their service was truly remarkable. Then comes the food - my goodness, the food. Let's begin with the Harira. Perfectly seasoned, but for me, it requires a little more salt (which is personal preference) and a pop of acid like lemon to bring out its true flavor. Overall, a really comforting, rich soup without being heavy or cloying. Then came the Moroccan seasoned potatoes - oooooweeee! These were little nuggets of pure deliciousness. Seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside and every bite kept you wanting to go back for more. Then the lamb shank tagine - ummmm, excuse me?!?! What do you mean the meat is like butter? It literally falls off the bone and dissolves in your mouth. Rich, fatty, unctuous and truly a delight. The bed of couscous it came with was also great - made better by the sauce from the lamb shank. The highlight of this plate were the roasted prunes that are part of the sauce. Sweet, jammy prunes cooked into the sauce made them just truly a delightful mouthfeel in comparison to the couscous and the scrumptious meat. To top it all off, the cherry on top, is their comforting Moroccan mint tea. So very fresh and the perfect end to an absolutely DELIGHTFUL meal. Highly recommended!!!

The Port of Peri Peri has a storefront next to a Dunkin on Weber Rd in Bolingbrook, about half a mile north of I-55.  We tried them once before (in 2020) hoping for a better experience five years later, unfortunately that wasn't the case. My biggest hangup is that everything is just too expensive.  A ¼ chicken is $10 and comes with no sides, which are $4.50 each.  Compare this to Nando's where the same ¼ chicken is $7.75 and sides are just $3. The chicken & rice bowl ($18) was my wife's pick and she enjoyed it, however I don't think it was a good value.  Twenty bucks for what amounts to 4 chicken tenders over rice?  C'mon. I will say that their stuff is legitimately SPICY.  Even the 'mild' has plenty of punch, nevermind the 'hot' which sent me into a coughing fit.  Definitely steer towards the lower end of their heat scale. Their pop machine was out-of-order (and it appeared to have been for some time).  Dining room chairs weren't the comfiest, and the random chandelier - although elegant - doesn't in with fit the ambiance. Employees were nice. I used a coupon mailer for $5 off, which made the eyebrow-raising cost a bit more tolerable.  Without one, I probably wouldn't return. * TL;DR * I'm not a fan of overpaying, be it clothes, cars, or chicken(s). An a la carte sandwich here is a whopping $14!  (only $9 at Nando's) Also of note, these Peri fries don't come with a special mayo or anything for dipping.  Perhaps corn is a better choice? The best thing I can say about Port of Peri Peri is that they don't play around with spices.  When they say something is hot, they mean it.  Other than that, not too many redeeming qualities here.
