Saw this place riding by, looked at the reviews quickly and stopped by. I ordered online to save 10%. It's a pick up and go spot however, open kitchen concept. It looked clean and well stocked. Was able to meet and speak with the Ed, the owner himself. Him and his staff were very pleasant. For extremely delicious and quality food..it was a quick and efficient process! We tasted it in the car and ordered a duplicate to let our adult children taste. It was that delicious. Ed and his staff thought we made a double order in error and came to speak with us. That was top tier customer service!!! The cost is a bit higher than I'd pay to not have a dine in experience however, it was worth every penny, nickel, dime, and dollar! Meat was perfect seasoned and cooked, rice was fluffy and seasoned and salad was very fresh!!! read more

11/9/25 update: We decided to do a takeout for lunch. We got the kharcho medium size, chicken kebab plate, and lula kebab plate. Those plates are great for at least 2-3 meals. You get huge portions for your money. I loved the kharcho soup, it has lamb, rice garlic, and fresh greens. Next time, I'll have to order a large size. It's that good and it's not spicy. The chicken was very tender and succulent. The lula was savory and not overpowering. Don't sleep on that rice, the rice was one of the best things. I also got a free reusable bag. Very reasonable prices. read more

My husband & I love Ed's kitchen! Our favorite thing to get is the chicken kebab plate, chebureki, & kharcho soup! We are even thinking about catering from here in the future. Food was all excellent as well as the staff. We ordered what felt like a little of everything. Perhaps that is why we got a free Ed's reusable bag too...too much to fit in plastic grocery bags! I used the bag at the Farmer's Market and had a couple people ask my thoughts on Ed's so they got some free advertisements too . One of the items we ordered was the Ed's Special Bam Burger. Waited over 20 min for a wrap. Ordered no spice and it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. Aside from the spice it was a sloppy mess that fell apart. Take a look at the photo. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. These reviews must have been purchased because I wouldn't wish this food on my worst enemy. read more

Was looking for a quick bite to grab with a friend of mine so decided to stop by Ed's Kitchen (which had fabulous reviews). It's a small Mediterranean joint with a few seats inside. The menu has a lot of options with wraps, plates, salads, drinks, and more!! The staff was very sweet and helped us decide what to get! We both ended up getting the chicken shawarma wrap! It was wrapped in a tortilla, instead of a pita. It was filled with juicy and tender chicken, fries, lettuce, pickles, garlic sauce, and a tomato sauce! The food was incredibly flavorful!! I also tried some of their falafel which was the best I've ever had!! Can't wait to go back and try the falafel wrap next time!! I've lived in the Naperville/Woodridge area for the last year and I never knew about this spot!! But now that I do, I'll be going back again for sure!! read more

This is the BEST mediterranean wraps I've ever had! I got the Chicken Shawarma Wrap, it's packed with flavor and the chicken is so tender and juicy. They've grilled the outside so the tortilla wrap is fresh and crispy. The combination of the pickle, fries, veggies, and sauce complement each other perfectly. The portions are pretty big as well, very filling! Definitely a new favorite I'll be coming back to in the future! Food: 10/10 read more

Stopped in because we wanted something for lunch that wasn't just a chain restaurant, and we saw the signs at the road. Everything was super fresh and delicious (gyros, cheese pie, fries). We were surprised when they asked for a spice level on the gyros, and selected "1". It was plenty spicy, and tasty!!! There's only a tiny counter to eat at, but it was fine for us and not crowded today. I will definitely make a point to return the next time I'm in the area! read more

The food here from what I have tasted once is good compared to the other similar places. In fairness, the food is good. The service however is where this place really needs to improve A LOT. YOU CANT ALWAYS HAVE PEOPLE WAIT for the food to be ready because peoples lives revolve around a schedule. It is not for everyone. It's very small, kinda dirty and I wish I knew that before I placed an order. I got the chicken sharwma wrap which is as big as a burrito. Ha ha! It def had a unique taste to the chicken but nothing I would go back for and I wish it was more shredded! Pass, pick somewhere else! read more

First time we tried the burgers here, and they were great, as everything else we've tried here has been (love their kebabs, shawarma, lentil soup, and hummus). Our food was ready when it was supposed to be, and the service people are friendly & prompt. Ed's definitely deserves 5 stars for this visit, which I've given, but overall, this was very sad and depressing. I used the Yelp app to place my order, which put it through Grub Hub. And while I was aware of the $2.35 service fee they were adding, I was not aware that they also inflated the prices of every menu item as well. I was charged $12.95 (each) for the two $10.95 burgers I ordered, and $4.45 for the $3.45 fries. That tacked on an additional FIVE DOLLARS over the $2.35 fee. FOR A PICKUP. I am so sick over this. Then I found out Ed has his own website where you can place orders at the original prices, no markups, no fees. Why doesn't Yelp link to that instead when you click on "Order Takeout or Delivery"? Ed could not offer me any sort of refund, and I can't hold that against him. I also called Grub Hub and they offered an apology as well as a $5 credit on a future order. Only problem with that is that $5 would basically cover additional markups and fees, so I'm really not getting any of the money I felt cheated out of back. :( But the food here is easily the BEST in Woodridge, if not Lisle Township, and I will be back often, just not via the Yelp app ever again. read more

The owner has to be buying reviews or giving free food if people rate it 5 stars. There's no way the place has so many 5 star reviews. Worst shawarma wraps my family has ever had. The wrap tastes more like a tortilla, its like biting into a wet diaper; bland sauces with meat and soggy lettuce, and it has french fries in it (why?) And the fries are soggy and old tasting. The food doesn't taste very fresh. Like the meat has been frozen, the rice tastes like instant rice,, and the salads taste like they've have been sitting around for a while. I really like mediterranean food and I've never had rice like that or tomato sauce. I'm not sure if it's a different style of med food but it's just not as good as your standars fresh med food with tahinis garlic sauces, etc. The quality of the ingredients (meat, rice, and pita especially) tastes very low regardless of a differemt style of cooking. I was blown away that this place has such a high rating. I've had their food a couple of times now and its been consistently poor. Definitely something fishy going on with the reviews here. Update: Nevermind, the owner griefs people on the google reviews who don't give great reviews. Says they're "european" style flavors. That's not true lol. Apparently there's a sign saying talk to owner before posting bad reviews, I didn't see it inside but another review mentioned it. That screams "I have bad food but will buy a good review from you". This is a place that would end up on kitchen nightmares. read more

Just ordered from Ed's tonight, brought it home and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I got the chicken kabab and my hubby got the beef kabab. We also got the hummus and falafel. For $30 we were hoping our meal would be good and it was excellent. My chicken had crispy parts on the outside and was tender and flavorful. The beef was good but I really enjoyed the chicken. My husband did too. The rice and carrot salad was amazing! The falafel was crisp on the outside but tender on the inside. It had a slight sweet flavor which makes it the best falafel I've ever had. I ordered takeout from Ed's again last night, two chicken kebab meals for my dad and I and once again it was killer! I had put in an electronic order and their new system was still working out some kinks so it wasn't quite ready when I got there, but Ed was super nice, got it all fixed, gave us extra large portions and a free dessert just for waiting a bit. Food was fantastic and the service was really great. Next time I want to try their burgers, they look delicious! Let me preface this review with, I'm not really a Mediterranean food guy. It has different flavors and spices that our different from typical American cuisine. With that being said, this place was a game changer for me, the chicken was cooked perfectly, moist and well seasoned. The additional sides, the rice, the salad, etc. Had a slightly different flavor from what I experienced at other Mediterranean places. I'm not sure how I've lived in the area for so long and never been to this place. We got a pretty good spread Saturday night and everything was top-notch. Kebab plates are enormous with a ton of variety. Big hunks of perfectly cooked chicken or steak over a fantastic plate of rice. Lentil soup was hearty, light, and flavorful at the same time, and the baklava is probably the best I've had. Everything we ordered was at or near the tip of my list. Nothing was remotely greasy (huge plus for my wife) - Everything tasted great while still feeling healthy. Best of both worlds read more

Meet the Business Owner: Eduard G.

In the summer of 2016, Ed and his wife were expecting their third child, so Ed decided to give up the long-distance truck driving to focus and devote his time solely on cooking. This way, Ed could be closer and spend more with his family. Ed decided it was time for him to cook once again and as a result, took the first steps to open Ed's Kitchen. Ed discovered that his catering customers kept returning to enjoy his kebabs because of their consistent taste and flavors. Ed also learned from his father not to change the classics, but rather enjoy and experiment with different flavors. My wife and I grew up in the city and would frequently make it down to Greektown. This food would equal Greek Islands - Santorini Pegasus etc... We still enjoy Greek Islands in Oak Brook but last time we were there it was like they wanted to get us in eat and get out!!! If you need to experience Greek Food Chicago Style this place is legit.
