Lured by the seducing aroma, I was drawn to this miniature food truck after a long period of work. As the name suggests, Yummy Dog specializes in gourmet hot dogs with not only extra topping materials but also different sausages and breads. From the familiar Chicago dog to the German hot dog, you will find this food truck to satisfy your set craving or culinary curiosity for meat in a bun! My choice was the Munich ($6), a German hot dog in a pretzel bun topped with spicy mayo and grilled onion. Everything was made on the spot, so the food was delivered to my mouth piping hot! I intended this to be a pre-dinner snack, but I was wrong because it actually filled me up. I did not regret missing dinner because I ate this delicious, juicy hot dog augmented with the spiciness of the mayo sauce and the grilled onion! Despite being a food truck, the price is reasonable for a gourmet hot dog especially for the amount Yummy Dog delivers. The friendliness of the truck owner also made everything even better. I highly recommend you swing by this awesome hot dog truck if you see this around!

Maybe my standards are too high for food truck dogs from going to Biker Jim's in Denver, but I wasn't impressed with Yummy Dog. Currywurst was flavorless and fries tasted like the Ore Ida fries you can buy in the freezer section at the grocery store. Not a good value for the price. There are better food trucks around, or just order something from Karbach if you're there.

We tried Yummy Dog last week because it was the host food truck at Town In City. The smell was very enticing but once I tried it, I decided it's not for me. To be fair, the food looks enticing but something didn't quite hit it there for me you know? For our order, we shared an order of the Currywurst (fries topped with goodies) the Samurai dog and one Smoky (chicken and turkey w/onions and mustard) dog. The currywurst was good and it was served hot, but it was just ok to me. The bf LOVED everything we had, but then again he's a lover of all things meat. My order, the Smoky dog was good and I left half of it because I was full on the fries. The one that stood out to me was the Samurai! It's a chicken and turkey dog, with seaweed salad and those great crunchy onions. I was jealous that I wasn't the one who ordered it lol The people who run the truck were really nice and even brought our food to where we were sitting inside, so service is good. If it were my bf writing this review, he would rate 5 stars but to me, I'm being honest, it was ok. The food was good but not real memorable. If I were to go find Yummy Dog when they're at other locations it would probably be to try the Samurai dog again but that's pretty much it. Solid 3 stars.

Your food may be good, but $12 fries? At least put some kind of meat on it. Asked for cheese and got unmelted shredded cheese. What a joke.

To me this is the best food truck in the greater Houston area. I have eaten food from a lot of food trucks.

Ask the Community - Yummy Dog

Years ago there was an amazing food truck named Yummyz Kitchen that sold hot dogs. The hot dog was so good that I wrote my first Yelp review. By chance is this food truck related? If so, you've got a customer.

Good morning Vicki, We are not related. We have Gourmet Sausage Dogs on Pretzel Hot Dog Buns (Our Sausages: German, Italian, Polish, Smoked ALL Beef, Smoked Boudin, Smoked…

Yes. It's just a hot dog. But damn, it's a good hot dog…read more Admittedly, I avoided Yoyo's the cart for years, namely because I had hard time justifying an $8 hot dog that I would need to wait 40 minutes just to sniff. The wait is a non-factor at this location in POST Market (#1), which happens to be one of the best food stalls in their star studded lineup. The menu is literally just the hot dog and it's breakdown of ingredients. There are a few drink options on the menu from soda to lemonade, but that's it. It's a simple menu and I'm all for it. The hotdog ($8) was described to me by their hypeman behind the counter: "It will change your life." An excellent slogan indeed. The all-beef hot dog is sliced and grilled and topped with a combination of onions (fried + caramelized) with many drizzles of honey mayo, yoyo's hot sauce, and layer of cream cheese. It doesn't sound like something that works well together, but it does. The end result is that I want more than one, perhaps 2 or 3 in a sitting. The hot dog didn't change my life, but I now appreciate life more because of it. __________ (#1) https://www.yelp.com/biz/post-market-houston

Got the YoYo Beef, it was awesome, really like the fried onions, gave it a nice crispy fried texture. I believe the food stand location is slightly cheaper from reviews I read. Regardless, I highly recommend.

They are stuffed to the max and can be shared to try multiple desserts. The RAmEN half and half was with cheese and beef sausage and was delicious! I taste this with the habanero and it made me want more! It has the perfect crunch and cheese that delivers and the cheese runs for days! Do know they also have a cheddar and honey mustard if you do not like spicy sauce. I would definitely recommend to have this first before trying the hot Cheeto or takis version. PRICING Very reasonable for desserts and drinks OVERALL Great place for something more than just your normal sweet custards/bread we know and love! It takes dessert to a new level of taste buds. whatever sweet treat youre craving, they probably have it!…read more - i enjoyed the fluffiness of the bingsu, not too icy and crunchy but not overly sweetened with condensed milk. they had a lot of different flavors that all sounded amazing, but the blueberry cheesecake was a great pick. my main gripe with it is that the scoop of ice cream on top was hard as a rock and impossible to eat - the soft serve was very rich and creamy. i wouldnt get it with brown sugar boba again though, since it made it way too indulgent. it also melted way too fast - the mochinut was chewy but unfortunately lacked any flavor of matcha and had a stale, greasy taste we thought about getting the cream filled donuts too but noticed some flies in the display case which seemed unappetizing. their desserts are also pretty pricey for the portions but overall a convenient place to hang out and chat
