I read on the other reviews that they thought the server was not very nice, however my experience was the opposite - she provided helpful input when we asked for advices on the cuisine, and even recommended us to try the khinkali with sour cream which she provided and didn't have to. On to the food - we ordered the eggplant appetizer, it's similar to baba ghanouj but this one is a bit spicier and so yummy with the bread that came with it. We also ordered khinkali which is Georgian's version dumplings (we ordered the boiled version but there's also fried ones available). The skin is on the thicker side and was very chewy, the filling was well spiced with herbs, when you cut into it the juices come flowing out, yum! Our fav dish was the chimeruli which is baked hen drenched in a garlicky cream sauce that was more of a soup to me and i could not stop drinking it down! The hen was roasted so nicely with crispy skin, and along with the sauce just made the whole dish so hearty. Things are on the pricier side but I would still definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's adventurous in trying different cuisines. It was interesting to note that they had two menus, one for Georgian foods, and the other for Armenian foods. Btw the restaurant charges a "non cash fee" for all non cash payments.

The menu is broad with lots of Russian options, and there is even a lunch combo/special option for weekdays from 11AM-3PM that comes with a side, small bowl of soup, and traditional kompot drink. We decided to order a lunch combo (chicken kotleti) as well as the Á la Kalinka dish. The chicken kotleti was basically a ground chicken meatball that was served with a sauce reminiscent of cocktail sauce. The rice was garnished with fresh dill. The Á la Kalinka beef stew was very flavorful with whole peppercorns, tomato, and bay leaves, and was unexpectedly spicy. I loved that it was served piping hot. Although the portion of beef in the stew was generous, some pieces were a bit tough. Both dishes came with pickled cabbage slaw. I really enjoyed the hot borscht soup, it even had a few chunks of beef inside (granted, I love beets). I really enjoyed the kompot drink, but was a little irked when there was a charge for the drink. Admittedly, we were served a full carafe of kompot, and the explanation I received was that the lunch combo only comes with a single small glass, but I would have appreciated being asked if I wanted to pay for a larger volume drink. I was also asked if I wanted bread, which cost $3.50. Again, I have nothing against charges for these things, but it would be better to be more transparent upfront that there will be charges instead of just adding it to the bill. Ultimately, food was a bit pricey but was very tasty and there isn't much Russian food around. I still had a nice overall meal experience.

Be careful in the driving structure as there are blind spots of people rounding the Corners going from level to level and it's narrow. That was definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The rice was so undercooked and hard that it was almost impossible to chew. It honestly felt like you could break a tooth trying to eat it. I asked the staff to replace it, but the second serving was exactly the same--hard, dry, and completely unappetizing. The biggest issue, however, was the restroom. The smell of urine hits you the moment you walk in. It's so strong that it's difficult to breathe, let alone use the restroom comfortably. A restaurant serving such good meat should also maintain basic cleanliness and hygiene. I truly hope the management pays attention to these issues. Properly cooking the rice and finally giving the restrooms a deep cleaning are basic standards that make a huge difference to the overall dining experience. This place has potential, but these problems completely overshadow the good food.

The food at Mini Kabob is extremely solid. My favorite cuts are the steak shish and chicken thighs. I dont really care for chicken but they do a really good job here. Even their lamb is amazing and I dont not like lamb at all. The toum is fantastic and the rice is so buttery and fluffy. The ambience is quaint as the shop is small. I remember it used to be a single unit until the neighbors on their right moved out and they took over the space. There is a few outdoor seats but im going to preface and highlight the word "few". Otherwise you can eat in your car or take it to a nearby park. Armen is running the show and is a stand up human being. Always tried his best to remember every customer, gets to know them and greets everyone with a happy smile despite how slammed they can get. Hardest working individual I know who is trying to make a huge name for Mini Kabob now that he has taken over the family business.

We parked and walked the entire plaza before finally spotting it tucked into the back corner. My tip: drive as deep into the plaza as you can before parking. You order at the door and it's cash only. There's a large communal table by the entrance along with a few standing tables. Since it was the afternoon, the whole area was nice and cool in the building's shadow, so waiting wasn't bad. We still got our food to go because some people nearby were smoking. I ordered the lamb chops, which came on a bed of rice, sumac onions, lavash, and a chunky charred green pepper of some sort. The lamb chops were very tasty--crispy edges, meaty and juicy in the middle. They were thick, and all the fat was intact, which I loved. The lavash and rice were good, but I wasn't a fan of the onions, and the pepper was too spicy for me. Because of that, I kind of wished there was a different side, maybe something cooler, but that might just be me. Overall, the chops were great for the price. I'd go again and maybe try the pork chops next. My partner got the combo Lula, and it was decent, but to me it wasn't exceptional compared to other local kabob spots (cause there are a lot of good kabob places in Glendale). The lamb, though, gets my highest marks. I'm still thinking of them (we are there yesterday).
