The restaurant has a modern but and authentic touch to it. The staff are great and easily approachable, we did have to wait a little long for our main course but good food is worth the wait. You can get a delish bowl of the classic old duck vermicelli noodle soup with some soup dumplings (I think $15 or so) or soup without rice noodles with pan seared dumplings. The noodle soup by itself is $10, great deal. I always get the mixed organs one, it's just a mix of duck blood, liver, and gizzards. The seating arrangement is much better and more spacious now post renovation, used to be elbow to elbow with whomever sat next to you. Try it out, I'd like to say the hidden gem here is their soup dumplings....the wrapper skin is very thin and full of soup! Better than places that specializes in soup dumplings even. No service/tips, you order they call your order #, when you're done just clean up after yourself. This one is located downstairs in golden mall, it's a mini food court.

What won me over was being able to see how fresh the dumplings were- that you can see them wrapping them with a good amount of filling inside. I got the pork, shrimp, chive dumplings, and they were so filling! The inside was juicy and tasty, and the dumpling wrapper was thick and chewy. The sauce could've had a bit more flavor personally, like more spice or vinegary tang, but it was still a good complement to the dumplings.
