    a plate of chinese food

Tasty Xian place located in the New World Food court. Decided to give this a shot rather than the more popular Xian Famous food, and was pretty pleased with it. Ordered the lamb cumin noodles, which is the same dish that I get at Famous. Noodle taste and texture was fairly similar. Flavor was slightly better in my opinion. A little more cumin taste. The lamb would come down to individual preference. It had a stronger gamey taste which I like. However, it had more of a stewed taste as opposed to stir fried. Plate was $11.

    Spicy lamb hand-pulled noodles

Best hand-pulled noodles I've ever had. The noodles are chewy and fresh. The spicy lamb has the right amount of spice that makes your tongue a little numb.

Definitely tastes like xi'an noodles that's for sure! The QQ noodles are chewy and light in the best way and the texture is amazing. The sauce is savory and spicy with nice chunks of seitan and spiced beef that tastes better than my grandma makes. You can add condiments like vinegar and additional chili oil to change the flavor profile in the best way, I definitely recommend you do this! The helping of noodles is HUMONGOUS and is worth ordering 100%. The service was nice and the lady mostly speaks Chinese. Ambience was decent as you get a tray and eat at a table in the cafeteria. A lot of places don't serve noodles like this so it's worth a trip if you're in the area!

After waiting all that time, I was asked, "Are you waiting on something?" as if my order had been completely forgotten or pushed to the back of the line. During that time, I watched nearly 30 customers come in, get their food, and leave while I was still waiting. The staff spent a lot of time laughing, joking, and talking with each other instead of giving any updates to customers who had been waiting. It honestly felt like people they knew were getting their orders first while everyone else was left wondering what was going on. A steak and fries should never take over an hour, especially without any communication or apology. I ended up leaving without ever receiving my order. To make matters worse, they don't even have a menu available. Overall, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. Do better.
