I understand how salons work and don't expect to be seated at the exact minute of my appointment. Today was different. I had a 1:45 pm appointment on a busy Sunday. After circling the village looking for parking, I called at 1:55 pm to let them know I had just parked and was walking over. I was told they would not take me because I was past their 10-minute grace period. I went in anyway and spoke with the manager, who was completely unaccommodating. When I explained that I've consistently waited 15-20 minutes at this location, her response was, "Well today we're running on time." That's wild to me. It's apparently acceptable for customers to wait well past their appointment time, but the one time a loyal, repeat client is a few minutes late...after proactively calling...they're dismissed without any flexibility or regard. That's poor service and a clear double standard.

I didn't want to pay for a blowout and leave disappointed, so I searched the world of Yelp and found The Hair Nurse (Tara)! I felt comfortable looking at all the good reviews from yelp & photos she had on their instagram, so I booked the first available hair stylist for a same day long & thicc hair blowout, since prices were comparable to Drybar's. Shortly after booking, I was contacted by the hairstylist I was booked with to inform me that she was double booked, so she offered a later time. Unfortunately, I couldn't accommodate the time she offered and they were able to book me in for an earlier slot. My services began immediately after walking in. The salon was nice, clean, and modern, and the hair washing station was really comfortable. Tara introduced herself as The Hair Nurse (which I totally didn't realize until then) and I ended up feeling comfortable enough to get my hair cut instead of just getting a blowout.
