We had called another place prior to coming to Familia Ink, it was not the most pleasant experience whatsoever and will not be going back there. Moved here from Vegas, so we searched and searched for a Veteran Owned establishment and came across Familia. My Daughter was so nervous about coming in and talking to someone. Lady at front desk was very pleasant to us upon arrival. Then asked what we were looking for, my daughter explained it to her, then she proceeded to go ask a gentleman named Stax. Lady actually took us back to where Stax was working and he was so Amazing and kind to her, took time from what he was doing to speak to her and asked my daughter questions about what she would like. Stax made it so comfortable and easy. Like we were family. This is EXACTLY what we were looking for in a business and for that we will be booking our appointments with Stax! Edit** Finally got a response after I left a negative review…read more I asked for a tattoo at the convention. I was taken to "Waffles" (Adolfo Herrera). What I asked for was a small firefly. I showed them a pic of exactly what I wanted. The artist went outside of the stencil he created and did not follow what I wanted at all. When I reached out to the artist to have him fix it, I was told that he would not be at the next convention that was closest. I reached out to the shop asking for them to review and help me resolve this. I was told they were traveling and would reach out. I reached out a day later and still nothing. They refuse to give me a refund after I'm having to go to someone else for a cover up. Pictures are of what I asked for vs what I got.

Mexican not only redid the original design, but he reimagined it. He created exactly what my son had originally wanted. FANTASTIC as always. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! I will be getting more as soon as I have some time. I have recommended him and his wife for piercings to anyone who asks about my tattoos.

Lights off, no real privacy for nude work (a back room with a large window looking into it from the lobby), minimal -at best- cleanliness; the tatto/piercing rooms were one and the same and neither were highly clean and antiseptic as one would ind in a doctor's or quality piercer's shop.
