Today, I had reflexology by Stefanie and it was dreamy. It's so interesting how points on one's feet can be felt in various body parts/organs. Instead, it was one of the most unprofessional services I've ever received. My therapist was the manager . Throughout the massage she repeatedly left the room whenever the door chime went off . Each time she stepped out, the door was left open, which meant I was lying on the table exposed to hallway noise and completely lacking privacy. She never once checked in about pressure, used hardly any oil, and didn't make up for the time she was gone. On top of that, my partner's therapist actually switched out with another person in the middle of the appointment without any explanation. That was shocking and made the entire experience feel chaotic and uncomfortable. A massage is sold by time and by a promise of relaxation and privacy. We did not receive what we paid for. This was supposed to be something special for my birthday and it ended up being stressful instead. I won't be returning and hope the owner addresses these issues.

She's extremely skilled in pinpointing issues and explaining what she's doing to *mend* them. Debbie employs a bunch of different massage techniques, including ashiatsu (back walking) and inversion. I never thought I'd be okay with someone walking on me, but it really does seem to help with pain and alignment issues. I appreciate that she listens intently and then formulates a plan to lessen the pain substantially in the selected time session (I've requested an hour each time). I've had some frustrating back issues for several years now (sciatica, scoliosis, bulging disc...you name it), and it's incredibly reassuring to know that Debbie is only a few blocks away when I need her. It's easy to get an appointment within the week. If she doesn't pick up the phone, leave a voicemail and she'll respond within 24 hours at most. Debbie is also personable and easy to talk to.
