My whole family loved both flavors: the vanilla cake with strawberry jam and the chocolate cake with fudge. My mother-in-law, who doesn't usually eat cake, wanted to try the vanilla with strawberry jam. She loved it, finished an entire slice, and had the biggest smile on her face. So this is essentially a small business that Farzi, the owner and cake maker runs from her home in Pittsburg, CA. After researching custom cakes online for my 1 year old niece and Godchild's birthday party, I settled on Z&H Cakes. I called and Farzi took my order. She was very professional and it helped that I looked ahead of time at things she had done previously to describe for her what I wanted. They made my Daughter's 15th birthday extra special because of the cake . Not only is the cake beautiful on the outside but I ate 3 giant slices myself. And I'm not even a cake person . She's made my son's 3rd and 4th birthday cake, my sister in law's 30th and my mum's 50th cake for the 3 years knowing her. We ordered a four tiered cake for approximately 200 guest. Marble flavor of both vanilla and chocolate. The cake was very moist and flavorful. Usually fondant from some bakerys is hard and you can taste the artificial coloring especially on black fondant, but the fondant and buttercream was very delicious. We were orginally told that our guest would come back for seconds and sure enough they did. The cake colors were perfectly matched to the theme and we were very satisfied with the result. I contacted Farzi in a desperate last minute attempt at having a wedding cake for my daughter's wedding that was finally decided to take place after many changes due to COVID restrictions. Farzi was gracious enough to accept making a small 40 ppl cake and my daughter sent her a picture of what she had in mind. The process was easy, fast and Farzi was fast in her responses. We originally decided to pick up the cake ourselves but the day before Farzi sweetly offered to deliver AT NO CHARGE since she had another delivery in the same direction. She then informed us that she added a third tier because the cake looked better also at no charge! The cake was AMAAAAZING! It was picture perfect and tasted delicious! I had so many compliments.
