Just finished Boxing day shopping and felt like something to eat. We didn't want any fast food so we decided on soup... first thought was tim Hortons. But Tims never has enough options. Googled restaurant and found Zoup! We walked in, and was immediately greeted by employees who have asked us if have have been there. We replied, "no". They then proceeded to explain to use how the process goes, let us sample their wide variety of soups. And it was all yummy from there. I got the loaded potato (which btw it was way better then tims loaded potato) And my boyfriend got chicken pot pie and that one was very yummy too. Both were delicious. My kids loved the Mac and cheese and chicken soup. My husband enjoyed the California sandwich and the lobster bisque. Very disappointed in the new management. Completely different and quality has gone down hill. Bacon crumble instead of strips of bacon on the turkey bacon club just brutal. Was a bit reluctant to go to a soup place on a hot summer day but was swayed by the Yelp reviews and the free brownie. ;) We shared a whole 3-Cheese Pesto sandwich. Melty cheese, soft toasted French bun, sliced tomato and just the right amount of pesto. At the tasting bar we fell in love with the cucumber gazpacho soup. Love cool gazpacho in the summer. I went with the Chicken Pot Pie (although I could do without the crummy pie dough crust that they sprinkle on top) and the Chicken Toscana sandwich, which was pretty good! Service - Amazing The staff are all very genuinely nice and helpful. They offer you as many samples of the soups as you want until you've found one that you'd like to have. There is always one man who comes out of the kitchen always yelling "HOT ZOUP!" and me and my sister find it very entertaining. Atmosphere - Peaceful and Relaxing The only time I've ever come here is during lunch, but there are always smiling people inside and lots of choices of seating, like booths and window bar tables. I love Zoup! This branch was okay. My mom and I came here for lunch and it was my mom's first time. The ladies gave her their classic explanation of the place which was a good start but it eventually became sour in the middle of the service then picked up again. There were 3 emoloyees and just my mom and myself there. In the middle of the service as we were tasting the soups, one of the ladies helping us out looked frustrated to the point where my mom was embarassed to taste another soup she wanted to try. This was very unfavourable as Zoup!'s specialty is the variety of soups they offer and the only real way to be able to get a soup you are really happy with is to try them, so feeling pressured by the attitude of an employee is the last thing you want to have when all you want to do, is pay for a good that you are happy with. Luckily, I ignored this employee's attitude and found the right soup my mom wanted. The service picked up only because while we were paying the two other emolyees prepared our combos and made it ready by the time we settled our bill. read more

Okay, I had never heard of this place/chain of restaurant. Had a late lunch there while traveling. I'm trying to maintain a healthy weight and difficult to do when traveling. I had the Curry Thai Chicken soup and half Sonoma salad - Try Two Combo. It tasted great & was perfectly filling, a good amount. I'd be here everyday for lunch if I lived in the area. Apparently if you are a regular you shouldn't sample the soups...... I am a regular at the Zoup in Cambridge - and it's awesome. The soups are great and the salads and sandwiches are good too. One of the things I love about Zoup is that you can sample the soups - to try new ones and for me - to decide which one I'd like to order for lunch that day. Twice now the person behind the counter has made a comment about me trying the soups - "haven't you tried this before?" and "are you actually sampling soups?" It's definitely overpriced for a cup of soup, and I waited in a long line of people just trying soups even though I was ready to order, it also took a surprisingly long time for my order to be ready at this location considering I only ordered the soup and I'm thinking you just got to put it in the cup and hand it to me. MEH. I had the southwest turkey Sammie, a cup of chilli and a medium fountain drink. Price $20.45. Chilli was ok, mostly chilli broth with less than average meat content. Sammie was decent. I would not go back. I would suggest they do a half Sammie and cup of chilli deal for less than $13. I much prefer Panera. I hope one comes to the area soon.
