Zoup was on of my favorite places when I worked in Louisville. My favorite was the chicken pot pie soup. I have been recently and the chicken pot pie is now a lot thinner than what it use to be. Today, I decided to get the grill cheese dippers and southwest chicken chili. I thought grilled cheese was easy to make and difficult to get wrong. Zoup found a way. I sampled several options and nothing was great. I don't think I will return. I think I will just make soup at home. read more

I enjoyed my lunch at Zoup. I love a lunch combo so I had the Try2 which allows you to combine options from their soups, salads, sandwiches, and mac and cheese. I chose the Chicken Tortilla soup and the Sweet Thai chicken salad. Both were very good. I loved that they will let you sample a couple of different soups before you order, that's a really nice option. The crew behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable. It's very pricey for what you get. Over $15 for small portions of soup and salad and a plain iced tea is a lot for a fast casual place. If I'm eating with plastic utensils I feel like I shouldn't be paying sit down restaurant prices! Overall I had a good experience and I will probably be back but it won't be on my regular rotation due to the somewhat poor value. read more

We ordered dinner for three here a couple of weeks ago - I can't even begin to tell you how inedible the sandwiches were... Neither "grilled cheese" order was grilled. It was bread with slightly melted cheese - looked like it had been melted in a microwave. Totally inedible. The Italian had so much dressing on it that the bun was soggy and fell apart. Again, inedible. The soup was just okay -barely warm. How much did we pay for this inedible meal? $58. I contacted corporate and received an email reply within 48 hrs saying that the Mall Rd. location would be contacting me about a refund, however, I have not heard a word from Mall Rd. I contacted corporate again and never heard back. Very disappointing and a waste of money. read more

Short: This was a great Zoup experience! Long: Soups blended well with the sandwiches and you really couldn't go wrong with any combo. It was delicious, and the young staff served it up quickly. If I was really hungry I'd have gone back for more. This particular Zoup will become a planned stop when traveling along the I-71 corridor. We came in last night for dinner to get takeout. It was most of ours first time ever coming here. I feel like the team did a good job explaining but they did not get our order correct. They charged us for two extra meals. We did get the food on them but we did not need all that food. We threw away all of the soup from those and it was just more than we needed. It did not seem streamlined and it took a long time to get the food. But this just might be how it is here. We did have a mix of sandwiches and soups. I understand that the sandwiches may take a little time. Everything tasted great but it was frustrating that it cost $100 for us all to eat when we weren't all trying to eat there. I think the lobster bisque was the best! Between us that we had four different soups and all we're good though. The place was empty and some of the soups were being served out of bags that were sitting inside pots. It just seemed weird. This was my first visit to Zoup and it was great. You walk in and you can try samples of all the soups they offer. Some of these soups are broccoli cheddar clam chowder fire roasted tomato bisque and many others. They also offer sandwiches and salads. I ordered the flight of soup which you can get three different soups at once. What a great idea. I tasted chicken pot pie lobster bisque and stuffed pepper. My favorite stuffed pepper soup which has beef peppers and rice This place is perfect cold wintery rainy days. read more

Ate here today for the first time based on some recommendations I had seen. I had 2 bowls (16 oz) of soup--the Tuscan bean and the lobster bisque along with the piece of baguette bread that comes with them. This was just the right amount of food to satisfy me, and both soups were great. (They offer a taste of any of their soups to see if you like them, which is nice.) Counter service was very friendly. I hope to return again and try some other soups and maybe a salad. read more

I was taken here for a quick lunch. Zoup! is a quick service soup, salad, and sandwiches restaurant. Soups are made fresh daily. Six soups stay the same. An additional six soups rotate daily. Much like ice cream, Zoup! will give you a sample before deciding on a flavor/ soup. Soups are labled with cards informing guests if a soup is vegan, vegetarian, gluten free or dairy free. Soups may be ordered in four different sizes. Sandwiches and salads may also be ordered in different sizes. A pick two options is also available. While trying to decide, I tried several of the soups. All were chalk full of vegetables, chicken, or both. The soup I finally settled on was the lemon chicken basil. The lemon and basil flavors were light in this cream base soup. Chicken was the star of the soup. It was a close tie between this and a vegetable soup, with kale and quinoa. Soup comes with a choice of multi grain or french bread. Multi grain bread has a slightly crisp crust, while the inside is soft. I went with the pick two option. I also ordered the vegetable wrap. Vegetables were fresh. All but the mushrooms that is. Those were marinated. Drink options include fountain beverages, or a selection of organic juices and teas. Dessert options are also available. read more

Do you want Panera but instead you want the building to be dirtier and not as tasty? Buckets of dirty mop water sitting out, full trash cans, etc. You know it's a red flag when it's a busy area but it's empty during lunch rush. Staff were nice. read more

I love that you are able to taste all of their soups before you order. I only tasted a couple and then I ordered the flight of soup. I immediately regretted not tasting the lobster bisque before ordering. It was bland, luke warm and tasted extremely fishy, with not the slightest hint of sweet lobster flavor. That being said... the other 2 soups were very good I had gumbo and chicken tortilla. I would order those again. My husband ordered the roasted tomato soup and ham maple bacon sandwich. He loved the soup, but the sandwich was lackluster. There was very little bacon and the 2 dismal pieces he had were not fresh. read more

The French onion soup didn't have cheese on top as described and was just okay. The grilled cheese was really good but it wasn't the dippers, it was just a regular grilled cheese sandwich. It's been over a year since we've been here and used to really like it but it was a mess today! We had to give our order to the staff 3 times after we already ordered and paid for it. 3 staff members seems frazzled, not great service and talking about wanting to quit. The one on register seemed like she had no idea how to input orders. Husband and I tried Zoup for the 1st time. It was busy, but service was quick and the staff was super helpful. Hubs got chicken noodle and I got white chicken chili. Chicken noodle was not something he enjoyed. White chicken chili was extra thick. But it was good. We also had turkey sandwiches and they were both really good. Lots of bread, but not a lot of turkey. The bread was delicious though, so I was ok with that. I don't think we will go back, it was just too expensive (38.90 for 2 people) and just wasn't our thing read more

The last time I went to Zoup's it was not good but we tried it one more time. The avocado toast bowl was terrible. The rice was like crunchy mush. The bread was stale. The grill cheese was not good. The worker put on a "mature show" right in front on me and my daughter. We had to ask for it to be changed. The workers were very kind and helpful to us. They were friendly. There were only 2 others guests there on a Saturday. The place was fairly clean. But I have to say I wont go back to try it. $25 for 2 lunches and one was not edible. read more

This is a local soup chain that recently moved into the former Wich Which location on Mall Road in Florence. They have a few different soups that they serve all of the time but a majority of the soups are changed either daily or weekly depending on what they feel like cooking up. I have been to the location in Cincinnati several times but this was my first time here. On this occasion I tried the Chicken And Sausage Gumbo in a bread bowl. The broth had lots of great Cajun flavours in it as did the chicken. They barely put any sausage at all in here (I don't think I found a single piece of sausage). The bread bowl was a great way to house the soup and they have 4 or 5 different types of bread for it. It not only adds flavour but a filling element as well (soup by itself generally doesn't fill me up.) Anyway despite my disappointment in the lack of sausage in the gumbo overall I enjoyed my meal and visit here. read more

I had previously visited another Zoup and had an amazing experience! The place had great food and I enjoyed the overall experience. I went to the Florence one, excited that we were finally getting one local. I placed an order to go and had a great experience in store. I had left the store and got nearly home when I checked to make sure my food was correct. I was missing half of my order and one of the two soups were incorrect. I had to go back, bring in my receipt and show that I was missing items. While I learned the lesson of always check before I leave, it was disappointing that I was handed my order only half completed. I will likely visit again after the store has been around more than just a couple of weeks. The pumpkin pie spice was delicious! read more

This was very nostalgic for me since I went to a Zoup more than after 4 years. Now not many people have been to Zoup but it's a zingy take on soups. They serve soups in three different sizes, sandwiches and salads. You can mix and match. Not sure of what soup to get, you can sample them too before ordering. They will always always ask you if you have been there before and guide you through ordering. The facility is clean, and staff is very cheerful and helpful. Food- I ordered the chicken toscana sandwich which was out of the world. Just too yummy. Went with the black bean soup(which was way too salty for my taste). I could not finish the smallest serving of this soup due to it being salty. Not sure that's how it's supposed to. Will definitely come back to try other soups and see if that's an issue with everything. This place is heavenly for winters and those chilly and rainy summer days when you need some hot delicious soup to make you not so gloomy ! Will be becoming a frequent lunch spot for me. read more

I have been a fan of Zoup's since it opened but things are so much different the last few times I visited. The salad is about half the size it use to be. It use to be full of spinach leaves with less of other greens. The last 2 times the salad has been mostly scraggly salad greens and maybe 5 spinach leaves. One of the best parts of the salad order is the awesome bread they always have. Last time there was just a tiny piece of french bread. This time they said they were out of french bread. I paid over $14 for a puny salad (with chicken) and a drink. The staff seemed unhappy and stressed. I won't be going there again anytime soon. read more
