I attempted to resolve the issue directly with the company and provided documentation regarding the incorrect shipment. Rather than receiving a straightforward resolution, the matter continued without being properly resolved. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. According to the BBB, multiple attempts were made to contact Z1 Motorsports regarding the complaint. The BBB ultimately closed the complaint as an UNANSWERED complaint because no response was received from the business. As a customer, I expected a company selling automotive parts to correct an order-shipping error promptly and communicate professionally throughout the process. I have attached the BBB closure notice documenting the outcome. I cannot recommend Z1 Motorsports based on my experience. read more

I also saw their side where it is my responsibility to find the best price beforehand but they also saw my side where the exhaust was priced higher than any out there in the market. They helped to fix the situation with store credit which is fine, the main thing is they saw my side and kept me as a customer. Order# 1567126 I asked Z1 to find me the HKS Super Turbo exhaust and I made it clear that I reached out to them because I purchased a Tomei exhaust before from them and liked their overall service. The online representee told me he found one and the invoice was ready. The invoice was for $1392.47. So, I paid it, come to find out your guys marked it. Everyone else is selling it for 1000 or less. You can find it online all over the place for 1/3 or half the price. They took my trust and took advantage of it by marking it about 50%. How are you going to do that to your customers? When i bought my cats from here about 2 years ago i had no issues with them-mostly because i didn't actually talk to someone. Every time i call to ask questions they seem like they don't want to give me the time of day, they belittle me and treat me like i know nothing about my car. I was asking questions regarding calipers and why the price jump this week then call it a "sale" when i had been looking at them for over a month. I ordered the correct part, but the part they sent was incorrect. I received the same email multiple times asking for the same information. I was questioned as if I didn't know what I was doing. They were very unresponsive. I had to email multiple times to get a response. I think they hope you will just give up and go away. Ordered the Z1 Supercharger kit July 2023. Since then, I've put about 5k miles on the car. I've had a few issues that the staff at Z1 was able to resolve quickly. If you want your Front aftermarket bumper installed with 3 Nuts on the four bolts at each side, Z1 motorsports has done that to my Nissan. (What the customer can't see might hurt them). If you want your Brake cooling kit for the front brakes installed with the passenger side hose rubbing on sharp metal, Z1 motorsports has done that also to my car. ( one more zip tie?) If you want your front bumper facia/ cover reinstalled with the old broken plastic push pins, Z1 can do that also. ($5 worth of new push pins?) Not so good when it starts to come loose on the highway. And by the way, I do not like being talked to by the rude lady that seems to have taken over the new Z1 sales/ front desk customer support phone service. One less Z1 customer. read more

Ordered OEM parts from their website. 1 of 3 parts came in an unmarked bag...shipment was also missing the promotional air freshener. In the first phone call, customer service confirmed that they incorrectly shipped a 3rd party item by mistake. Second phone call, they changed their stance and said the part we received was the OEM part ordered. Tried to get customer service (name: Austin) at Z1 Motorsports to verify that this was the OEM part I ordered using a manufacturer's spec sheet or invoice to match the inscribed number on the part I received. He claimed their invoice had this information on there, but he couldn't send it because that information was proprietary. I asked for a refund. They gave me $58 (the cost of the 3rd party equivalent) when I had paid $94 (cost of the OEM part)...still working on the refund process for this item. I would not shop here again. read more

I purchased a set of rotors for my G37 from Z1. I also purchased new pads from another retailer. I installed the rotors and pads and went for a test drive. Immediately the driver side was vibrating over 30 miles an hour (just driving) and shook even worse when I applied the brakes. I immediately returned home to check my installation, no issues. I did another test drive and same problem. I then systematically swapped out new pads and rotors with old to determine the issue. I put very few miles on the car doing this as I live a half mile from the highway. When I replaced the new drivers side rotor with the old rotor the problem went away. I tested this with both old and new brake pads to be sure. Over the course of a couple days I went back and forth with customer service. During this time I put about 200 miles on the car commuting to work with new pads and rotor on the drivers side and old pad and rotor on the passenger side. I was told I didn't bed in the pads properly, I needed to bleed the brakes, that my caliper may be hung up, there was rust on the hub, anything you could think of. I finally gave up, purchased a driver's side rotor from rock auto, installed the new rotor and pads and the vibration was gone. Z1 does not stand buy their products. I clearly received a defective part and was given the run around. read more

Recently had some cooling upgrades done to increase the reliability of my new motor. Plus a metal undershroud and oil catch can. They got me in at 9:30 am and my car was ready about 3 minutes before closing @6. I was already told it would be a all day job so definitely on time with local work. They later dismissed it as a "installation error" and then they had the audacity to tell me that the only thing they could offer is "free shipping" on my next order. SMFH. I also tried to explain to them that I didn't hit anything, that I was literally just sitting in traffic and they kept insisting that something had pierced the cooler and that they could've replaced it if I had sent them pictures of the cooler on how I received it but how was I suppose to know this was going to happen with the poor quality product they sent me. I've learned the hard way over the past 6 months, don't buy parts from these sleazy middle men... Their customer service is less helpful than the DMV. They will find any reason to not accept returns and they take no responsibility for shady sales practices. Do not trust their parts descriptions, they don't know what parts fit which car, and if they get it wrong...they wont take the parts back. I had multiple parts not fit, and when I told them the site was wrong...they changed the site retroactively, then said "the site says...." and wouldn't take the refund. Horrible. OK I'll start with saying Z1 is covered by their policy but I think they could've done better to start and definitely better in how things are handled. I ordered a Z1 high capacity differential cover kit for my sons car. Once everything arrived we assembled the differential and when we tried to install it we discovered it wouldn't fit. I immediately went back to Z1's site and discovered that a very important piece of information was tucked away. The site shows all the cars the cover will work with so you think great. Then at the very bottom there is a very inconspicuous note that says the cover wont work on models with 4 wheel steering. This is rather important and should be at the very top and stand out. So I called and was told that since I attempted to install the part I was not eligible for any type of return or credit. I was told to try to sell it on my own to recover some of the cost. This is not at all the type of response I would expect from a reputable business and one that I have used in the past. Absolutely not one that will receive my business in the future. It is my fault for not reading the fine print but let's be honest. Would you have seen this on the ad if I didn't point it out? At the end of the day I made the mistake but I would've expected more from Z1 on the backside. read more

I ordered a few hardware kits from Z1 for my 370z since the current hardware holding my front fascia on is old and rusty. Part of that order was the fender liner front/back kits, since my wheel well liners were only being held on by a single screw at the moment, and flop around. Long story short, Z1 sent all of the parts I ordered except supplied 10 extra U-clips that I didn't need, and failed to supply 10 different style U-clips that I did need. I emailed them and asked how we could fix it, and never heard back. I guess I'll be filing a dispute with paypal now. I guess I'll stick to other vendors for my 370z needs. read more

I had to email support, and support had to contact the tuner for me to get a response. When I received a message, it was always 1 single sentence. I originally bought a Throttle Body Kit and once it was on, the mechanic said it was faulty, so I tried to get hold of Z1. I had to put a review on Z1's website to get a response from their company, but on it thy said they were responding to my voicemail, and even after that this is what I got. We received a voicemail saying your Throttle Body Kit was faulty. Can you provide us with your VIN and mileage of the vehicle? So much wrong with this place I've never experienced anything like it. A place like this should not be in business. Every order I placed had an issue. For starters, they will sell you car parts claiming they will work but have never even tested them.They sold me a limited slip differential with an upgraded gear ratio wich they said will work with my Q50 hybrid. I even called and confirmed. So I purchase it and I got it installed correctly by a professional shop and my car had several issues as a result of the upgraded gear ratio, such as a jerky transmission, check engine light, and cruise control not working as a result. I called them and found out I was the first to even try something like this on a hybrid. So basically they claimed it will be compatible on their website but they never tested it. Here's the worst part, even though they advised me to buy it they would not accept a return. I had to open a PayPal case to get my money back and they still would not refund me after I shipped the item back to them. I had to escalate it to PayPal and wait for PayPal to initiate the refund. Even after I shipped back the product to z1 and it was sitting at their location for over 2 weeks. that's just one experience..... I also purchased 2 piece rotors for my q50 but they sent me the wrong ones. And then I purchased an uprev tune package with them. I got the cable ok but how about the actual tune file they were supposed to send me? Still didn't get it after over 2 months. They're "master tuner" Jon is such a genius that he can't even respond to an email. Also I purchased another differential wich they forgot to include the fluid. On top of all that when you want to contact them they almost never respond to your emails they will reply to one out of 20 emails. When you call them they will put you on hold for a while and then give you some bulllshit to brush you off. Never a straight answer. For example I called them about why they didn't refund me wen I shipped back the lsd. They put me on hold for ten minutes then said they have it but it has to be inspected and they will issue the refund. That was fine but two weeks went by and they never issued it. Just awful. I would advise to purchase your Infiniti parts elsewhere unless you want to deal with a headache. Also I advise to use PayPal with z1 because wen they screw up your parts you can file a claim and get your money back wen they refuse to make things right. read more

I have ordered the coil overs for Infiniti Q50 AWD for more than $1000 and on the delivery day, I see the email that it had been delivered and was signed by me (and there was a mention that it was left by the main entrance of the building). Interesting, it was signed by me, but left by the main entrance? After contacting customer service, which is the most HORRIBLE I have ever had an experience with and told them situation, one of the agents said that he is gonna file a claim with UPS and after the investigation they are gonna let me know. After a month when I still didn't get any updates on my case, I decided to call them once more and they said nobody filed a claim month ago and you should wait more for UPS response. I have got a call from UPS the next day they asked me whether I did receive the package or no, I said that I NEVER received the package. After around another 10 days they emailed me this: This is Maddison at Z1 Motorsports. I am reaching out to let you know that your claim on the BC Racing Coilovers was denied. This is due to BC Racing reaching out and informing that they spoke with you and got confirmation from you that you did receive the product. I have attached the UPS claim that specifies this for your review. Thank you. I decided to call UPS and find out why did they decided to get this conclusion since I told them that I have never received any package, on what they opened a new case and after a week, I have received the information from UPS that my claim was issued to the sender, and I should contact sender (Z1) for more information. I called them and They said that they have already the resolution of the case saying that it was denied. After going back and forth with the rude consultant he Told me that this is none of their problem and the case was between me and UPS, so don't you dare calling us with this problem, go and solve it with UPS. Even tho UPS said that they are gonna process a refund, but they need information about the order and everything from the sender, but the sender is not even sending them information. Overall, I will NEVER recommend anyone to order anything from this site, because: 1. The box shows the correct OEM numbers, however inside the box the item was after market item. They did not respond to my email request for a return authorization. Upon discussing the issue with a customer service, I was told that they wouldn't return the item even though it has not been installed. So I called the next day and they said I have to wait until the item gets shipped to me to return it.
