Try this place for the first time since I got recommended from a friend. Hey! They have Vietnamese food!!!! Well, i'm not gonna expect too much if it's from a Thai place. When I looked over the menu. Hey hEy, they have Pho !!! Aside from H2O near Olemiss, this is the second place where I see they are selling Pho in Oxford. Food came out pretty fast but...... the whole dish is ..... not on point....x.x! It even has cabbage and carrot on top. WAIT??!. I'm not sure about the other, but for me that's the first. The broth doesn't taste like beef broth at all, rather it's more like veggie broth with some seasoning. That's a huge let down. Beef meats seem like it was dipped in hot water before it was served - Usually, it should be stewed for a long time, and we can use the broth as beef broth for our Pho. Overall, if you are a fan of Pho, this noodle is more like a regular Beef noodle with veggie. As I mentioned, judging a Thai place on a Vietnamese scale is really unfair. I might come back to try their Thai dishes and give them a better review. read more

This is our favorite Thai restaurant and it may be the best food on the north side of town. We love it and the people inside are very nice. Our favorite dishes are the drunken noodle, pad Thai, and Thai fried rice. Also the appetizers are tasty as well. read more

Zaap's has some of the best Thai food here in Oxford. Always hot and fresh when you pick it up and has the perfect spice level. On the other hand, they are never open or hours have changed ! There have been times when I have called and the phone rung up until the voicemail and I showed up to the establishment and had to place an order in store due to them "being busy" so they weren't accepting phone in orders. On a time like today I called and the number went straight to voicemail, I was thinking maybe the same thing, too busy to take call in orders so I went to the restaurant only to see a poster board on the door saying "open @ 4:30". There have been numerous times when there was a sign on the door due to them closing for a couple of days or opening at a later time. A week before today there was also another white poster board stating they would be closed for x amount of days. In the year of 2022, I would think we are far beyond updating customers about store hours and closures via poster board. They have a facebook page but they don't post updates on it and I'm 100% positive customers would like to know whether or not the business is open or anything prior to coming to the establishment. Great food but their communication with customers is terrible and I don't see them staying open too much longer if that doesn't change. I normally never write reviews but the poor communication has gotten completely out of hand. read more

Hands down the best Thai in town. Heck it's the best Asian in town. This place is probably Oxfords biggest hidden secret. I am honesty addicted to Zaap Thai Kitchen. Every time I'm in here they are hardly ever busy which is shameful. This place should have an hour wait or more everyday. Every table should be packed morning, noon and night in my opinion. I have eaten takeout from here 3 times - it has always been slow, this last time was a thirty minute wait, with 3 other people in the place. No apology or even a smile ! The fried rice is $11 and nothing special - compared to H2O which is much cheaper and always good. Their style of cooking is more Mississippi Thai food than authentic Thai, but it is the best Thai I have had in Oxford so far!
