I believe that John's proactivity in developing a relationship with the selling agent, along with his offer strategy, are what made our offer the winner. John was there every step of the way, spending a few hours at the house on the day of inspections and walking me through everything, answering all of my questions (which were A LOT), providing recommendations for vendors and other guidance, and talking me off the ledge a few times when I was overwhelmed or spooked by the whole process. When some necessary repairs came up on the inspections, John strategized our request for a credit and ended up getting me way more than I was expecting (which was honestly $0 in this competitive market) and got me a price reduction rather than a credit. Overall, John was proactive and strategic throughout the entire process, and not only did he get me a house that I fell in love with, he ensured that I knew exactly what I was getting into and got me some money back to make necessary repairs. He also sent me a ton of moving boxes (I didn't even have to buy any) and on the day I got my keys, he came in and replaced my smoke detectors since they were on the older side.
