I am a little disappointed in the communication with this shop. They sell a necklace I have wanted and on three separate occasions I have reached out to them. All three times I have been told they are out of the necklace and are currently in production making more and should be restocked "shortly" and I will be notified when they are. My father and I visited this store in February 2017. We were looking to purchase a pair of diamond earrings for my mother for her birthday. We were greeted and helped by Gwen. Gwen was an absolute delight to work with. She did not rush us, nor did we feel pressure to buy anything. She listened to what we were looking for, showed us several options and took the time to explain the differences between the earrings we were looking at (cut, color, price, etc). This is a very charming nautical themed jewelry shop in downtown Annapolis. Not only does the store feel nautical, but they have a few collections that have a nautical feel to it. All of their collections are gorgeous! Now I have not bought anything, but every time I go in there, I am treated like an old customer. They offer you sparkling water with lemon and small brownies. I needed a gift for a bridal shower and I had waited beyond the last minute. I needed a pandora charm but didn't have time to hit the mall. I logged on to the website to see if they sold the brand. What a horrible website btw, however I saw a live chat button so I tried it. It worked! They had exactly what I needed. I asked if they could hold and they said yes. So far good. My sister in law just had a baby an my other half had invited my brother in law and nephew over; So she could take the new baby to a shower of her own . We went to play for a while and then I was off to Zachary's to get the charm, home to shower and then the 3pm shower. This place is not skilled in customer service and are very judgmental. I walked in wearing jeans, no makeup after just running around we a three year old. No one greeted me and I had to wait. I felt bad interrupting the lady on the computer. When she did acknowledge me I explained. She got my charm and we went to pay. She was very arrogant. After I signed my receipt I asked for my charm and she said "you took it." I had not. I looked over and there was a small wrapped box with a red bow I thought it was mine. "No" she said and handed me literally, the pandora charm box. No bag, no wrapping, no red bow. The pretty box belonged to the lady behind me. So I said umm ok and had to put it my purse. I know I didn't spend alot of money and was not dressed to the nines but really? Excellent upscale jewelry store that continues to provide excellent customer service. Zachary's was my first jewelry store stop in pursuit for my wife's engagement ring. Thankfully, it was my last stop as I found the staff to be extremely helpful, patient, and understanding for a novice jewelry buyer. Erica (who usually works at the other location) and Hind were extremely helpful laying out a variety of loose diamonds that matched my request (price point and size). They were able to explain what to look for in each diamond so I understood and could visually see what clarity, cut, and color was in each stone. When looking at the setting options I stated I liked a combination of 2 settings and they offered to custom design and create a setting for me. After trading a few emails of CAD designs they were able to create exactly what I was looking for. I've used Zachary's for her engagement ring, wedding band, diamond bracelet, necklace, and earrings. I picked out my USNA class ring stone from Zachary's because I was really leaning towards tanzanite, but just wasn't seeing the color I wanted from the ring vendor at school. Cheryl was amazing - she kept in contact with me about when more tanzanite would be in and made sure I still got the student discount, even though I couldn't get in to purchase the stone until a day or two after the sale technically ended (which saved me a good chunk of money). I never felt pressured to get an expensive stone and she even showed me a lot of different options to suit a smaller budget. She also helped me with a lot of questions I had about a family ring and keeping it in good condition while I was in there. I got my ring from the vendor right before leaving for spring break...and then got sent home before I could drop it off. My parents were able to take it by later in the summer, but due to COVID restrictions, I have been unable to leave the yard to pick it up. They immediately offered to walk it over to the yard for me and Mrs. Samaras brought it to me directly today! It's even more beautiful than I imagined and the stone itself is gorgeous and cut so perfectly to bring in light to show off the purple undertones. I couldn't be happier with my stone, my ring, and the amazing customer service, especially during these confusing times. Absolutely love this place. Their staff is marvelous. For the individual that felt they ignored her because she had no make up and jeans, that's my regular attire when hanging out in Annapolis! Over the past 12 years I have had occasion(s) (numerous) to go into Zachary's sometimes it is for new things, while other times it is to ask for repairs on watches or just cleaning . Each time the experience leaves me reassured that my choice to purchase here is a wise decision, and not just one for convenience. Tough decisions are always made easier when at Zachary's. That is not to say they don't have an exceptional selection in the store, but the staff is willing to listen to what you are looking for, help you find that perfect something fro that special someone or occasion. Customer service is also beyond expectation. Yes they are willing to do the expected stuff (you know, stand behind their products, help with repairs, cleaning of stuff, etc ... ) but it is always nice to get a note on your anniversary or birthday wishing you the best or on the holidays getting that "golden ticket invite" to their holiday party is beyond a memorable experience! read more

They sat down and designed a ring that he was happy with, and the quality is amazing. I wasn't there at the time but my fiancé says that he was super helpful and very knowledgeable. She was very kind and patient while we asked a bunch of questions. I was on the fence of whether I even wanted a wedding band since I love my ring so much by itself. Well Paige was never pushy about it at all! She just wanted to make sure we were happy with our decision. We took about a week to decide and then dropped my engagement ring off so the band would match the diamonds on my engagement ring exactly. I told them I really wanted to minimize the time I was without my engagement ring and they said it would be about a week they would need it. I followed up about 5 days later to see if I could pick up my engagement ring but it wasn't ready yet. We had dropped off late Friday and I called on Wednesday so it was totally reasonable that it wouldn't be ready yet. They said it would be another couple dsys. I was surprised when they called early the next day and said I could pick it up. Thinking I was just grabbing my engagement ring, I popped into the store. Not only was my engagement ring there and perfectly repolished, cleaned, and brand new looking, but my wedding band (custom made to match my ring) was ready too! Wow! I was shocked! I had an impossible time finding a Simon g engagement ring I wanted to see for my fiancé, I mean no one could help me. No one except Nicki that is. Their approach to customer service is refreshing compared to other jewelers I've visited when I was shopping for an engagement ring. What really set them apart from others in the area, though, was their capabilities for custom work at a reasonable price. Going in, I had a very good idea of what I wanted in a ring. Everyone I interacted with at Zachary's through the custom design process, particularly Keith, was helpful in making the right choices to create exactly what I envisioned. The jeweler translated the drawings I made into a wax mold, which was very helpful to visualize the final product, and then into the actual platinum casting. They entertained my questions about the process, which I found fascinating, since I am an engineer. Picking the right diamonds came next, and Keith took the time to show all the options and provided the right amount of guidance without steering the decision. The team made sure everything was finished just in time for my proposal and went out of their way to help me tell the story of how the ring was made to my fiancé. It is so rewarding to see something I helped create on her finger every day (she said yes, btw!), and she loves it! I can't imagine what could be better than that! Engagement Ring Shopping... After stores and stores of high pressure sales in the Washington area, Zachary's was a relief! As soon as we walked in on a hot drippingly humid summer day dodging tourists, Zachary's was cool and quiet. I really appreciate that we were given the freedom to browse and approach the staff when we wanted. Errol met with me and my 2 son's who are 11 and 9 to pick out a few charms for Mom's Pandora bracelet. He stopped his busy day and treated my son's as if they were buying thousands of dollars in jewelry. They asked questions nonstop and he answered nonstop. You see they were concerned about their 30$ to 40$ purchase since it was coming out of their wallets. When we were finished he gift wrapped each small charm and presented them to the boys. However, Errol recognized that the boys were quite interested in the finer pieces and with the confidence of a Master Polisher he thoroughly showed the boys some extremely expensive jewelry that the boys were in awe of. They were able to touch and feel jewelry that was as expensive as a house. Truly a memorable day but not the end of the story. My first experience here was as a midshipman when it was time to buy my USNA class ring. After seeing rings I liked, I quickly found that the nicer ones had come from Zachary's. When our class rings were stolen in 2011, I quickly contacted Zachary's about replacing my ring. Though we're now out in CA, we communicated through email with no problems; they gave me a new estimate right away that I could provide to our insurance company and we spoke about how to go about rebuilding my new ring once I received it from Josten's. While visiting family in MD over Christmas, we made a trip to Zachary's so I could pick out a new emerald. Even though we haven't been back in many years, we were treated like regulars and had another pleasant experience.
