I was so excited to have found this restaurant in Oakville, but I was disappointed when I received my food. I ordered "Bareh Kabab" with vegetables, "Vaziri Leg" with Persian Salad and Homemade chips with . The first thing you pay attention to when you open the package is the smell of the food and the quantity. Well, that was my first disappointment, because both Bareh and Koobideh didn't smell good at all. Also, Koobideh wasn't like any of the advertised pictures and it was only 6 pieces of meat in the package for Bareh Kebab. Vaziri leg tasted good and was cooked properly. But, my second disappointment was the taste of both kebabs that weren't good at all. And this comes from the person who has tried almost all the Persian restaurants in Toronto and you get higher quality and quantity with the same prices. I believe the ingredients used un the food weren't fresh at all and what I have understood from other Google reviews, the owner doesn't care at all. But I know for sure that I'd rather drive to Toronto whenever I'm craving Persian food to eat a good quality meal, rather than ordering from a restaurant close to my house that doesn't offer good quality food and doesn't care about their customer! read more

I would have rated zero if I could. Very rude! Super pricy, compared to all other Persian restaurants with higher quality. They are unbelievably rude!! After they got me promo on Uber Eats, I placed an order with them. Then they called me that they cannot apply the promo, shouting and swearing, cancelling the order, leaving me in shock. One of the best kebab places in the GTA. Went here with my family of 6 and the owner welcomed us with open arms. Treated us with grace and was very friendly. The food was very good too, I had the gyro wrap with fries, it was really good. No complaints from my family either, everything was really good. Lastly, the baklava was great, wasn't too sweet - just the perfect dessert after a great meal. Had a great experience, would definitely go again. read more

Ate here today at lunch with a few coworkers and we were treated very rudely by who I assume is the business owner. Even tho the owner was being rude i was still hungry so I kind of ignored it, I requested one Gyro and after waiting almost 15 minutes inside the restaurant the owner served me a beef kebab instead of the gyro. As I asked him why he was serving me this instead of the gyro, he tried to convince me this was a gyro, probably because I came in with people who were absolutely clueless about cultural food. I questioned him again and he just went silent, handed it to me and said "thank you". I didn't have the energy to fight so I figured I would just leave and eat it anyway and to my surprise as I'm biting into I noticed it was still UNCOOKED. Never again, please don't spend your hard earned money during this pandemic on an establishment that not only lies to its customers but can't even cook their food properly. Zagros owner Mo made us feel welcome as he explained his menu and gave us suggestions. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and it has become a favourite for our whole office staff. Try the chicken shawarma pasta for something different and delicious. Very thoughtful owner, nice clean little place. Had the lunch special, shawerma and soup. Pickle soup? Yep pickle soup, and it was wonderful, little pieces of chopped pickles and fresh dill, potatoes and carrots, very nice and satisfying. The older man at the cash wasn't very smiley and seemed offended when I asked why the price on my bill was different from the menu. "It's written on the menu: Prices subject to change! I've tried a lot of different shawarma places in oakville and this is near the lower end of the list. don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all but, in my opinion, far too pricey for the small portions when there are other options in town where you can get a plate of shawarma and rice that could easily make two meals for under $10 read more

I love this place! I've been going here for years and even after I moved out of Oakville, I still keep coming back here to buy my favourite Shawarma Poutine. The food are amazing and the customer service is top notch! Every time I go in, the owner always recognizes me and greets me with a smile and catches up with me about a lot of things every time I stop by which is really nice to see because it makes you feel appreciated and welcomed as a customer! i ordered via justeat.ca. ordered a lamb souvlaki with 2 sides 16.99. one would think for 16.99 you would get a decent portion of meat or at least of the sides. i ordered tabouleh as a side and the persian salad as the other. the tabouleh was a joke, barely any parsely, all just onion. looked no different from the "persian salad". portion was as if it were one side. and only got one skwerer of the lamb, tastelss and plain too. the order was made around 5 pm , i got a call close to 6 asking where the delivery was to be made after specifying in details on the online form. and the food wasnt delivered till around 645. read more

I ordered two chicken schwarmas, and the quality of the lettuce and onion was the worst I've ever had. The onion was actually more solid than raw carrots (and there was a LOT of it) and the lettuce consisted entirely of the stems at the end of the leaves that would normally be discarded. Great restaurant! Mo (owner) is great, always has a smile, and remembers you the next time you visit. The lamb souvlaki is really good, another favourite is the chicken shawarma. The food was extremely tasty(I tried chicken ,beef many times it was always good quality )and the restaurant had a very cozy, warm feel to it. The owner was very friendly and if you like spice flavour try their spice sauce. Our first time at Zagros and we were pleasantly surprised. For was amazing! I had Lamb Kabob and I normally don't order lamb . The dish was satisfyingly great! I have been bugging my husband to try and finally he did! And he loved it. Service was awesome and the Baklava! Omg! It was sooo good. Hats off to Zagros! Wi will be back for more! read more
