This Ojai restaurant has amazing views of the golf course, trees, and gorgeous green hills around the golf course. Apparently the sunset pink is really beautiful as well. We ate at Zaidee's on a Monday night, when many restaurants in Ojai are closed. The service in Ojai is a bit slower and relaxed, compared to City life. So breath deep and stat calm. We got food quickly, and we just had to wait for the check. But the food was fresh and good, the view is great and the prices were good. Our family loves the ambience. On cool evenings the inside is nice but on warm days we prefer patio dining. The majority of entrees are excellent. Servers are typically warm snd personable. I would give this place a higher rating if it was consistent with staffing. Lately, they seem to be regularly understaffed which affects service and staff morale. We don't mind slow paced service. However, not getting refills, getting checked on once well after food arrives and waiting thirty minutes to pay your bill is so regular now it's a bit comical. Management can do better. read more

We went last weekend for family breakfast and we have the kids playing and have there own space in a little corner and my Nephew got trapped in a MOUSE TRAPP he saw something under a sofa he grabbed it but it was a mouse trap! I don't know why they're not taking those out of the dining when they open, when a restaurant have a mouse trap it means they have mouse in there? Thats the only logic i can think of?! What do u think?......and they ask the kid what they can offer....my niede is so nice just ask for a drink for the poor little boy... they need to make sure that this does not happen to anyone again! read more

The place is a gem! The remodel they completed a few years ago was done really well. The natural wood and stone decor make you feel like you're in a country cabin. The space is airy, clean, and gorgeous. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. This place delivers platters of delicious and fresh food. The Veggie Omelette is my favorite. You have to split the Pancakes and added Blueberries. The fruit is added to the batter, so when you cut into the three layers of hotcakes, you see the blueberries warmly rolled into the middle. The bar serves up reasonably priced cocktails and great views of the golf course! If the weather permits, sit outside and enjoy some sun and fairways. read more

Location, location, location, food, food, food. Our foursome plays Soule Park Golf course twice weekly, with obligatory 19th hole. Finishing before 11:30 means breakfast--take your pick of your favorite meat, egg, potato combination (with salsa) prepared and served quickly to perfection. Don't consider dining indoors when the patio and its panoramic lakeside view are in season. The large retractable window/bar facing over the first tee is not by any means a second choice of venue. Lunch offers, in my opinion, the best array of burgers in town, and DO pay a little extra to upgrade to the truffle fries with your meal. Sunset dining is spectacular, and I almost always gravitate back to the New York strip with a house Cabernet. My golf buddy is addicted to The Z signature cocktail. I always steer new out of town pickle ball players from nearby Soule County Park to Zaidee's for after their after game cool down. read more

The setting here is unbeatable: looking over the sweeping green golf course with the beautiful Ojai bowl mountains in the background. And during sunset it's so serenely peaceful with the hint of pink moment coloring the scene. The service was super kind and attentive. The portions of food here are very generous and the food is fresh. My husband got the California burger and my dad got the Cobb salad. The Cobb salad had huge chunks of delicious chicken! The menu has one of everything I'd say, but is not too expansive in its offerings. I look forward to bringing more of our guests back here to see the beauty of Ojai. read more

Went here for a late lunch on Father's Day. Fantastic find! I had the bistro burger with salad. Their lemon vinaigrette is delicious! Hubby had the nachos with carne asada. Not a bit left! Yummy!! I enjoy their breakfasts and lunches. The view is lovely and during warmer weather the outside seating is wonderful. Service is usually good, but I have noticed if they are busy they sometimes forget to stop by the table to see if we need anything. Many times we do need something, from napkins to drink refill. read more

Came here after camping and it was perfect. We got there as they opened, so it was peaceful and quiet. Hidden gem in Ojai, We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch was our first time at Zaidees we saw good reviews so searched it out on the Souel park golf course and very happy we did, service was quick and friendly and beer menu varied. My wife had the loaded nachos I had the local rock fish tacos. The nachos were a huge plate and very tasty lots of asada cheese guacamole, the fish tacos were grilled local fish 3 tacos and very fresh and tasty ( I fish for rock cod frequently and took notes as these were excellent!). Zaidee's Bar & Grill was a nice place to stop for lunch as we drove up from Oxnard into Ojai. Zaidee's is located at the Soule Park public golf course and the views from the restaurant are really lovely with the mature trees and nearby hillsides. The tables outside have the best views but it was too cold to sit outside today. Our hostess and server were both friendly and pleasant. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo which were yummy - the cheeses inside the sandwich had the perfect melted cheese pull! My husband had the Zaidee's classic burger with onion straws - he was very happy with his choice and commented that he really liked the bun. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem in Ojai. The vibe was casual and relaxed and the area is beautiful. Highly recommend! (I took one star off because the parking lot was pretty beat up with cracked asphalt and potholes - it was a bumpy drive in with a lot of trip hazards walking to and from the restaurant.) read more
