Wonderful service and great food. The Wagyu burger was very juicy. The chicken bowl and Wagyu bowl that we got were delicious as well. They also offer shaved ice wuth mango, matcha and some other flavors. I was tempted to get them but unfortunately, I had a marathon scheduled the next day! :) The manager is very friendly and accommodating. They have a nice patio that leads to the "greenery" in the back of the restaurant.

$9.99 Burgers were tasty and filling! Sat outside with our pup and enjoyed the fresh air.

Came here on 1.1.2026 - around late lunch at 3pm when visiting Ojai. The place is dog-friendly, with a back patio for guests bringing their pups, plus two booth seats at the front. The spicy chicken burger was loaded with crispy fried chicken and came with fries. The boneless chicken wing rice bowl was a highlight too--super tender yet crispy chicken, served with salad, boiled edamame, and miso soup. Ordering is done first before getting seated, and a number is given so the staff can bring the food over. Inside, the Japanese-style wallpaper gives a totally different vibe compared to the outdoor area. Definitely a must-visit spot when in Ojai.

A good quick burger spot that isn't your McDonald's or Wendy's. Burgers were excellent. The wagyu burger was delicious and cooked well. My husband got the croquette burger which is a good vegetarian option. We expected to have one meat patty as it was also in the meat burger side of the menu. Regardless it was pretty good. Crispy and had a nice little sweet sauce in it. Service was quick and friendly. Very pleasant for a quick bite in Ojai. Family and dog friendly. One thing that was noticed is no diaper changing station in the bathroom. I would give 5 stars if there was one. But Bathroom has fun anime art!

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner here last night! We had the Ojai burger and the Topa Topa Ojai burger and shared cheese fries. First the burgers were insane, Ojai burger was so flavorful, it had all the deep flavors of eating a steak smothered in mushrooms and sauce but all between burger buns. Completely incredible and complex. The Topa Topa Ojai burger was unbelievable. Between the creamy sauce (kewpie mayo based, yum!), the crunchy fried onion bits (yes every bite had crunch) and the ripe avocado, this burger hit all the notes for us! The cheese fries were also so so good. We loved the low key atmosphere, it was chill and perfect for a casual date night. The owner checked in at each table and chatted with everyone, it was the sweetest. We felt like friends of the establishment even though it was our first time here. Safe to say we will be back!

The food was so good! Staff was kind and answered all of our questions. They even offered us some free candy which was such a treat!

Japanese fast-food. The interior is comfortable with front window tables and booth seating in the rear of the restaurant. There is also a sheltered patio in the rear facing the park-like plaza to enjoy their fare. We ordered their chicken karaage as an appetizer along with an order of gyoza and a plain wagyu beef burger. The chicken karaage was crispy and well-done, which contained both white & dark meat. The gyoza they serve are chicken filled. They were excellent in flavor, with just a slight crunch on their edges. The wagyu beef burger was served on a brioche bun, and was very flavorful. Nothing was added to the burger so we could really taste the premium beef. Service was prompt. It gets busy at the end of the school day, and tables can fill up.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich ... so good!

One of our favorite spots in Ojai. We love the food. It's semi fast food and packed with layers of flavor. However.... service is consistently underwhelming (seems people don't like working here) as is the facility and the way the menu is designed. There's just something about this place that' doesn't flow well, but once you get your food, you will enjoy it. Sit in the back patio where it's much nicer.

What a cute place! With so many yummy Japanese fusion- ish food options! The place has more seating in the back. We entered thru the back, but seated ourselves in the front after we ordered. My daughter enjoyed her salmon bowl and I had a loco moco which both included miso soup! Serving size was just right. Would come back to try other menu items!

Nice staff and the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant is cozy. Instead of putting the rice in the waffle machine, I find the traditional pan fried/skillet style rice bun to be more crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The waffle style dried out the rice and made it hard and chewy. The beef and egg were fine, but a tomato or pickles would've elevated the burger better. Fries were fresh, no complaints there. If you need a casual fast food style lunch, this is your place.

We tried two wagyu burgers, the Ojai and the Topa Topa. The Ojai burger was super saucy, which made it soggy, and I couldn't really pick up any flavor that stood out or made it taste like wagyu. The fries were decent, but overall the burgers just didn't feel worth the price or hit the spot. I can't speak for the rest of the food since we only tried the burgers. The boba was actually pretty yummy and I got it half sugar. The service was nice too, everyone there was friendly.

The food is pretty good here, but I'm somewhat disappointed in my experience just because I had such high expectations from the yelp reviews and the always long line out the door. When you walk in, it's a small, narrow walkway to the cashier with the menus on the wall next to you. We ordered the chicken dippers, a burger with rice bun, and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich and burger came with free fries! It is a bit on the pricier side, and they add a 12% service charge on top of the bill already before asking for more tip when you order. After ordering, you look for a place to sit, which is quite difficult. There's two tables towards the front and about five tables in the back of the restaurant. They were taken so we went outside where there were a few more tables. I didn't really like sitting outside but I guess it was nice to be outdoors in nature; just a little cold and windy on the day I went. The indoors seemed a little stuffy. It took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive... Someone brings it out to you and asks if you need anything but when I asked for an extra tray, it never came lol. Maybe they were busy but idk. Overall, the food is pretty good and unique. I'm glad I tried it. Just wish the experience felt a little more elevated like most of the other restaurants here in Ojai.

Great Japanese fusion spot with an extensive menu!

I love their pastries, but the recent price increases do make them a luxury item. Kouign Amann are my fave, but any of their croissants are also great. I haven't really tried their drinks. Had a Hot chocolate at the Camarillo location, and they even had a little latte art in the milk foam. A beautiful space to enjoy, but pricey overall. Service is usually fine, not overly friendly but that is also due to being so busy that they need to move the lines quickly and efficiently. At Camarillo, the server was much more talkative and friendly because it wasn't crowded when I went.

The gentleman that delivered our food just plopped the plates down and walked away. No gluten free options only macaroons! First time at this location normally go to Camarillo and TO so I was expecting the same great food and service. There was a napkin on the ground directly under our table. We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. The drinks are definitely on the richer, sweeter side, making them feel like a dessert in themselves. If you're into Japanese gaming and anime culture, or just looking for a cafe experience that's a bit out of the ordinary with fantastic service and indulgent drinks, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
