Buffalo Milk Soft Serve with olive oil to go.
    Morgan H.

Rory's Other Place is part specialty market, part coffee shop, part food counter. It's a great place to pick up a bottle of wine and some snacks for a picnic, or order food to eat in. We stopped in right before closing, (there was a sign on the door stating they were closing early for July 4th), and ordered the Buffalo Milk Soft Serve to-go. It comes topped with extra flaky sea salt and you can opt in for a drizzle of olive oil for an extra charge. I suggest you do that because it was so decadent and really took the dessert over the top. The soft serve itself was so creamy and had just the right amount of sweetness.

Casual little spot with delicious food items and soft serve! My friend and I ordered a tuna sandwich, Korean pork belly bowl, and a matcha affogato to share. We originally wanted to check this place out because of the matcha affogato and it was bomb - so creamy and light! Our savory items were delicious as well. Everything tasted fresh. For sure recommend checking out this place for lunch!! I wanna return and try their quiche, which was unfortunately sold out. You order at the register, find your table and your food gets delivered. There are plenty of tables outside to sit at with partial shade.

Came here for the matcha affogato and it sure did not disappoint. The soft serve was so creamy and the matcha was gorgeously green. It was the most perfect combo ever! Definitely a little on the pricey side but totally worth it and it sure does make a pretty picture!

Cute little brunch-type spot in Ojai located on a street with a bunch of fun little shops & eateries. You place your order at the counter inside and can pick a table on the small patio area outside. I came here around 11 AM on a Monday morning with my partner, and there seemed to be a steady flow of customers. Some were grabbing a meal while others stopped by for a quick drink & pastry. We ordered the breakfast burrito (unfortunately, they didn't have any chorizo available) and the Korean rice bowl. The Korean rice bowl was definitely my favorite of the two, as it had more variety in terms of taste and texture. The food here If I were to return in the future, I'd be curious to try the butter and ham sandwich, as that seemed to be a favorite of some of the regulars. I'd also want to grab a pastry as the scones and cookies in the case were quite enticing. Overall, flavors aren't anything out of this world, but it's a nice spot to grab a meal and people-watch if you're in the area.

Im lactose sensitive but made an exception for this gorgeous verdant swirl and it was so worth it! Unfortunately had to share it (boooo). I would make the pilgrimage to Ojai just for this.

Super charming!!! Came here for the viral Matcha affogato and was very pleased! There was plenty of parking spaces on the Main Street where this is located and it's surrounded by alot of cute shops to explore. There were a few bar styled seats indoors but most of the seating was outside, great for when the weather is nice out. Will need to come back to taste more of their things. Our dessert came out fast and everyone was super friendly. MATCHA AFFOGATO $12 - (9/10) So beautiful AND delicious! Was pleasantly surprised that the matcha taste really came through. I was expecting this treat to just be a pretty trendy item but it is actually VERY GOOD! It wasn't super sweet and the matcha had a perfect tea taste. The matcha on top of the ice cream also had a satisfying crack. In love!!!! - free 2hr street parking in a side lot +paid street parking - seating for groups, duos, and solos - Indoor and outdoor seating - no outlets - No wifi - No bathroom - Sells drinks, pastries, and food! - Dog friendly

If you're in ojai you must stop by to get the matcha affogato. Literally looks heaven sent. Delectable. I also got the chorizo breakfast burrito and a hojicha latte and my friend got a tuna sandwich and a blood orange turn up cookie. The breakfast burrito was big but nothing to write home about. The hojicha was watery and also nothing to write home about. This place is more known for their baked goods so def give those a try. The patio was cute though. I liked eating out there. I think overall my experience was good. The matcha was what I was there for. Would I drive 2 hrs just for it. But if I'm back in ojai I would stop by for it.

I was so excited to try their famous matcha affogato and I was not disappointed. It is quite small inside and they also have limited seating so keep that in mind when stopping by. It was very busy when I stopped by too but I only tried their matcha affogato. It was perfectly sweet and the matcha paired beautifully. Definitely give it a try!

Charming little café with a very cute side patio. Counter service vibes. Grab a number and they'll bring the food right to your table (we love efficiency). Fresh-baked pastries staring at you from the case (dangerous), plus a thoughtful pantry and wine section for when you "just came for coffee" and leave with extras. Ordered the savory toast, a baguette topped with soft egg, anchovy, aioli, pickled mustard, and chives. And yes, it works. If you're a savory lover, I recommend. Paired with my usual iced vanilla latte, perfection. Cozy, unfussy, and exactly the kind of spot you want to gatekeep but won't.

I found Rory's Other Place on TikTok because everyone was raving about their matcha affogato, so during our Black Friday stroll through Ojai, we decided to stop in. So glad we did! We got lucky and were only third in line, because the line grew super fast after us. The matcha affogato absolutely lived up to the hype--rich, earthy matcha poured over soft serve ice cream... loved everything about it. It's definitely a must-try if you're in Ojai. The shop itself is tiny, though, and the flow inside could be better. The cashier didn't say anything about where the line should form, so when more people walked in, they just stood around confused. Seating is also very limited both inside and outside, so be prepared to grab your order and go. Overall, amazing treat, great find, and worth the stop--just expect a bit of a wait and tight space.

took a little day trip to this beautiful town and this was our first stop. We were just intended to try the matcha affogato but our eyes were caught on their food menu as well. Their sandwiches were just ok but the Korean rice bowl was star of the show! It was so flavorful and as a mushroom lover I was impressed by it. The matcha affogato was great too and worth the drive there. Staffs were nice & attentive i'll be back

personally think this place is over hyped and over priced. The ham sandwich with was also overpriced and very salty, the ham, with mustard, and pickles all these are salty ingredients in one sandwich. The affogato was good but not worth $13. I

Came here w/ my mom during a day trip to Ojai! Just stopped by for the matcha affogato and also grabbed a hot apple cider. We came on a Saturday afternoon and man this place was busy! You can't make reservations here so you got to be lucky to be able to grab seating. There's very limited indoor seating and limited outdoor seating. Service to order was quick and we got our order in about 5 minutes. There was no outdoor seting unfortunately for us so we crammed inside the corner seating by their wine section. Matcha affogato 4/5, genuinely good! The matcha blends well with the vanilla ice cream though the ice cream does have random ice chunks in it??? this is quite large and can be shared by 2-3! Pricy for what it is though extremely aesthetic looking irl and I can imagine this is why this place is so trendy Hot apple cider 3.5/5, this was just okay. I would have liked it more if they had added more spices to this as it predominantly tasted of hot apple juice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They do a soft close from 2-5 where they don't serve the food menu but offer drinks, coffee and pastries. We stopped in on the 4th of July and were seated right away. They also have a coffee and pastry counter if you want to grab something to-go. You do not want to miss out on the pastries, and the display sure catches your eye. Along with our main we split a morning bun which was flaky and just the right amount of sweet. As we were walking out I noticed some sandwiches that looked extra tasty as well. We kept it simple and split the Dutchess Breakfast Plate since we had quite a bit of eating planned for the day, but it was more than enough to satiate us alongside the pastry. It comes with these massive, crispy and spiced potatoes, big slabs of Niman Ranch bacon, tomato chutney, thick-cut sourdough toast and two eggs. At $22 this isn't cheap, but the quality is there and I would order this again just for those potatoes. The Farmer and the Cook -- Fresh Finds Off the Main Road…read more I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in for the first time, but The Farmer and the Cook won me over pretty quickly. It's bright, clean, and has this easy organic warmth to it... the kind of place that feels like it was put together by people who actually care. Right off the main road, easy to find, and the family vibes are real. It's the kind of spot you want to linger in. If you're navigating dietary restrictions, this place is a quiet goldmine. Strong gluten free options, a genuinely vegan friendly menu, and plenty of vegetarian choices too... so everyone at the table actually gets to eat something they're excited about. That's rarer than it should be. The food? Solid. I went with the raw tacos, sopes, and huarache; all filling, all fairly priced for the area. The raw tacos especially surprised me... fresh, flavorful, and not in a "I wish this was a real taco" kind of way. These hold their own. Service was quick and most of the staff had a warm, genuine energy about them. The one small snag; the cashier seemed to be having a rough one. A little gruff, made me feel like my first visit was mildly inconvenient for them. It happens, we all have bad days, but first impressions do stick a little. Overall though, I'm absolutely coming back. There's more on that menu calling my name and an atmosphere that makes it easy to slow down for a bit. Whether you're vegan, gluten free, or just looking for something fresh and honest... this one's worth the stop.

This visit, they weren't there in their usual section so I assume they were pretty much sold out fast. Loads of fresh organic vendors with all their goods.
