Today I came in for a free appointment for my dentist just to make sure the filling she replaced was still OK. i'd been knocking it out multiple times over the past two or three years with my old dentist. it was still solid. She cared that the work was still solid, even with my tooth grinding. when I'd gotten the filling last week, I discovered there was a high point after the anesthesia wore off. She was able to see me that same day to fix it, probably why it's still solid. I recommend this office highly.

The issues raised as soon I've scheduled with my periodontist to have the tooth extracted: I was told that the temporary device would take at least 3 weeks to deliver (at the initial visit, I was told that the device will be made on time to temporary replace the extracted tooth). At the initial visit, when I asked the doctor about the costs associated with my case, I was referred to the front desk. Later, I was surprised/alarmed when the front desk person got irritated when I asked for the information. The office and the staff are warm and inviting. Appointments are easy to schedule and they always run on time. New Haven Dental Associates did both and booked me in for a quick diagnostic and x-ray work. I rushed over and found they're located in the Chapel Medical Center right in front of St. Raphael's. The entrance is somewhat dodgy - no sign, no indication of what offices are in the building, you have to go in through the back door into a tiny little porch, up two flights of stairs, through a rather empty corridor. But once I walked in the office, I was greeted by two smiling assistants. Everyone I spoke to was extremely kind and helpful - which is a giant plus when you're dealing with major toothache and the world seems like a nasty place. I was promptly seen by Dr. Sripathi who gave me a quick diagnostic, told me how to control the pain before I was able to get a tooth extraction booked, and referred me to the oral surgeon, Dr. Sorrentino, across the hall (literally) because their own surgical schedule was fully booked. A bonus for all 80s lovers out there: the office is decked out in imitation marble cabinets, floors and textured walls, it's supremely cheesy and wonderful.

However, this dentist uses a tool that helps hold your mouth open and offsets the sound of any drilling. Additionally, there's a TV that you can watch during your appointment.
