Food was good and nice portions. Very expensive for a diner. Breakfast plates were around $21!

This is a basic diner that is clearly a local fave. We found it on Yelp as we are visiting Ottawa…read morethis weekend. The food was done as requested (eggs were actually over easy). The staff are friendly, even tho they are kept busy on their feet! The place is busy and so it was loud but it was clean. Steps to get in tho if you have mobility device.

Showed up here on a Saturday mid-morning after visiting Crappy Tire and the place was busy, but…read morecertainly not at capacity as there was at least four 4-seater tables open and a couple of two seaters right in front of the door. No line-ups. We weren't keen on sitting by the door due to the draft coming in. We were told we had to wait for a two-seater because they didn't want us to take up a four seat table. We're like wtf??? I can see this if you the hot new restaurant in town and huge demand, but quite literally there was four 4-seat tables sitting empty and no line-up. In any event, we stayed, sitting in some two-seater jammed in the corner. And then we ordered a breakfast. I'm a Ozempic user, so I don't eat much - I was going to take an egg, a piece of bacon, and a couple of potatoes from my wife's plate. Oh - can't do that. There's a $2 "sharing charge". Like, wtf? I'm done with this place and their stupid policies. The food is typical diner fair that you can get any diner, nothing special here.

Earlier this month I went for the first time to the Elgin St Diner…read more They were featured on You Gotta Eat Here and my hubby dined here before years back The look and feel inside is of a classic diner They are open 24hrs and they are known for their tagline on their menu..we never close!! We went with them ordering breakfast for dinner that evening We both had the blueberry pancakes...my hubby getting a side of peameal bacon with his I really liked the pancakes Light and yummy A few were a bit overdone but it didn't take away from the taste Wished they would give a bit more syrup or maybe a small table bottle Service was prompt and friendly Really enjoyed the meal and definitely would come back again to try that club sandwich that looked really good on a few customer's plates

The soups are all fantastic, and their soup and sandwich deal is killer. I've eaten my way through the menu and would honestly recommend pretty much everything On the menu You wouldn't be disappointed giving this diner a shot

So Miss Molly's Breakfast Club just opened at the end of July 2019. It was Koda's Family Diner and…read morePizzeria prior to that, Joe's Pizza and Sports Grill prior to that, and I think Studebaker Pub and Grill before that, lol. I guess there's been some turnover. It's located in an industrial park just off Clyde. So their signage says "home of the bulgogi hoagie." I love beef bulgogi, so I went in with the intentions of getting that, but I discovered that the meat is marinaded not only in sesame oil (which I can eat), but also in sesame seeds (which I can't eat), so I could not experience their bulgogi hoagie :( and had to order something else. I settled on the fish tacos ($8) with a side garden salad (the menu said $4, but I was charged $4.25, and I wasn't going to quibble over a quarter, lol). I got 2 tacos and they were 2 large pieces of pan-fried white fish on top of iceberg lettuce and diced tomatoes in a soft flour tortilla. I liked that the sour cream and salsa automatically came on the side because I hate it when places drench food in sour cream and sauces. The tacos were fine, but they lacked oomph. The fish was seasoned and wasn't bland, but there just wasn't any flavourful kick to it. As the expression goes, they weren't anything to write home about. I did appreciate that the fish wasn't oily/greasy though. So anyone who knows me knows that I look upon iceberg lettuce with great disdain. I feel that iceberg lettuce is a cheapy filler lettuce, and I much prefer a real spring/mesclun mix, or arugula, kale and/or spinach. I would even begrudgingly settle for romaine lettuce. So I was really disappointed that the salad that I received was mostly iceberg lettuce (3 simultaneous sad faces!). It did have some cucumbers, tomatoes, pickled beets, and green onions as well, and the vegetables were fresh, but I was still disappointed. I was trying to be healthy, but I should have just gotten the fries, haha. Service was very friendly and efficient. Decor is typical diner. They serve all day breakfast, and with a name like Miss Molly's Breakfast Club, I guess their specialty after the bulgogi hoagie is breakfast. I'd like to return and try their Eggs Benedict. Hopefully I'll be able to bump up my rating by a star or two. They have their own private parking lot with lots of parking spots.
