Dr. Zaker is super attentive and clear when talking and I appreciate that. We've never been to a optometrist that feels like they actually care. I would review the Dr herself, but I never even got past setting interview as the receptionist was one of the most unprofessional and rude people I've ever encountered. First she offered me multiple times for an appointment and I chose 1:30PM for the day in question. Before I could even ask additional questions she was ready to hang up. When I blurted out I have questions, she was clearly annoyed that I was keeping her on the phone. After rudely and shortly answering my questions with little detail, I had to ask for an explaination. She was not forthcoming with anything and again seemed like she had somewhere else to be and was clearly annoyed. At one point I gave up and in an attempt to be somewhat professional she said "Perfect, we'll see you at 2:00PM Monday" which was not the time I had already confirmed. I stated my appointment was for 1:30PM. She stated: "We have 2:00PM available". What? I again stated that she had alreay offered me 1:30 and I accepted it. She then annoyingly asked if 2:00 was a "problem". At this point I gave up completely and told her no, go ahead and cancel. You would think the first point of contact would be better trained in customer service. I found another Dr. read more

This dr rushed my exam, so much so that I was not surprised when I got my prescription made, and the right lens wasn't clear! I actually have to now go get another exam somewhere else, and redo! Dr. Zaker is the guardian angel I didn't know I needed! When I met her, she was surrounded by friends and family and enjoying her evening. She noticed the stye on my eye, but had every reason to ignore it and continue enjoying her night. After all, I wasn't even her patient yet! Instead, she comes up me to ask how my eye's doing and if she could be of any assistance. I was blown away! If I were in her shoes, enjoying my friends and family, there's no chance I would have left them to go do something like that. That's when I knew I wanted her to be my eye doctor, and everything's been absolutely amazing ever since. She really took care of me, and now my eye's perfect again and completely back to normal. If she's not already, I have no doubt Dr. Zaker will be a giant in the field. Aside from her steady hands and obvious talent, she couldn't be more sweet or have better bedside manners. I saw Dr. Zaker for a general eye exam & I was VERY overdue. My last exam was about 4 years ago. I am so happy & excited that I finally found an office with a doctor I fully trust. I moved from Texas to California about 4 years ago and since then didn't prioritize the health of my eyes. Dr. Zaker took about 1.5 hours for my exam and answered all my questions. I had a lot of questions due to being overdue and she really took her time with me. She was very thorough & she is passionate about the overall health of your eyes. I wish I could give Dr. Zaker and her staff more than 5 stars! Dr. Zaker is the best healthcare provider that I have ever received treatment from for a number of reasons. Honestly, I created this Yelp account just to write her and her wonderful staff a stellar review and recommend her services to others who are in need of complicated eye care. Unfortunately, I suffer from pretty severe MGD and the combo of IPL and manual expression by Dr. Zaker has been the only treatment I've found that provides any relief (and I've tried a lot of different procedures with a number of qualified providers). Not only does Dr. Zaker provide very thorough treatment, she really listens and cares about her patients. Even after leaving her care (only because I moved out of the area), she has given me calls to follow up and see how I'm doing and provide support and advice. Also, her staff are gems just like her! Super friendly and accommodating. They all go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable when you're at the office or handling something over the phone. I give Dr Zaker and her stuff 10 stars if I could. Oh my gosh I had a major chalazion on my right eye what was bothering me for two weeks. She took me as an emergency right away. Went to urgent care with no hope and them telling me that it will go away by his own. Well guess what it didn't. Got Dr Zaker information from my brother in law cuz he had one to and she helped him out. Went to her office I must say wow so beautiful and clean. She was super friendly and very professional and right and very caring. She gives eine a couple of option and of course I want it to be gone asap. So she zapped me and after that we did a laser procedure to make sure it won't come back. So far it has been over a month and it's all gone. Thank you so much for all care.
