I ordered a Margherita pizza through Uber Eats, and when I opened the box, I noticed there was no ricotta cheese on it, which was really disappointing because it's my favorite part of the pizza. I didn't have my first slice until about an hour and a half after it arrived. We had two pies - one was the meatza and the other I can't really remember. It's not that the other pie wasn't good... rather, the meatza was that delicious that it's all I can really remember. The pizza at Zalat is New York style thin slice. The meatza was jam-packed with savory goodness - pepperoni, bacon, salami, and sausage. When paired with ranch, it was even better! Perfect to get me through the night. In the area and tried a pizza place I had never tried. What a surprise!!! I got my order to go so can't really mention much about the place itself but it was open late so that's a plus. The staff was extremely friendly and talkative. Now the food. They have a unique menu with all the normal toppings you can expect from every pizza place but they also have some unique options. I went full blown outside of the box by getting a Pho Pizza. No regrets. Great pizza. Yet, I was only given pepperoni. They were stingy with the pepperoni's compared to the amount that's advertised on the picture. Plus, the slices weren't cut evenly. After trying a slice of each pizza I decided there's no way I can eat anymore due to the saltiness. I ended up giving them to homeless individuals that were walking. Hopefully, they enjoyed them. The taste was amazing but I was disappointed and feel a little taken by what was advertised and what I got. I think my pizza came with about 1/4 th of the amount of toppings compared to what was pictured. One thing to note is that they do give one Sirancha sauce with every order, which is great! Unfortunately their service isn't as amazing as the food. We ordered for pick-up and when we got home, we realized we were given the wrong pizza. We called them and had to go all the way back! When we got home with the correct pizza, it looked great from the top but it was overdone on the bottom. The crust was bitter and hard to chew. Called to speak with Manager, tell her my order is wrong and she tells me my order was correct and I am looking at my receipt, ordered four of the lunch specials not only was order wrong they put all four 9inch pizzas in on box?? So my staff that work in different areas of plant had to pit their "cold" pizza on plates and walk through a manufacturing plant and warehouse with their food all because the Manager decided to save four individual boxes and put all pizzas in one box and one employee has a food allergy? which is why I ordered individual pizzas instead of a large. Avoid this location and business spent $65.86 and the service, presentation, Manager were all garbage and I should have just went to Q.T. yes a gas station has better service and hot food and individual boxes, and they don't argue with customers reading their receipts saying the order was wrong?? Another Dallas transplant that friends won't shut up about, so I was glad to see they were opening one here. Noticed it was open late one evening when I was trying to get the hell out of W7th on a weeknight. I was going to Hurts to grab a couple morning coffee donuts, but dammit, now I'm getting a pizza too. Been a couple times now, both times grabbed a plain pepperoni pizza. Wait time was about 15 minutes or so each time. I got mine to go. When I got it home about another 15 or so minutes later, it was still warm. I thought it was some of the best pepperoni pizza I've had. Good, basic pizza, nothing fancy. The cheese and pepperoni used are both pretty tasty. I like the crust style...and to all these people that feel like they have to compare it to NY pizza...I agree with you, it's not NY pizza because while I would say it's comparable in crust and texture, it's better than any damn pizza I've had in NY when I've been there. Really kinda sad when people compare styles and count off for it and don't even mention if they liked the food itself. Get over it folks. It's just freaking pizza. People were friendly and fast. I always get a small size and have plenty for a couple of meals. I don't dunk my pizza in dressing, but I do use the spicy ranch to dip the end of the crust in. That stuff is good. I like they're open late and while I doubt I'll be out that late very often to take advantage of it, I probably will at some point.
