Love Zaleskis!! Stopped in last Saturday for dinner with a friend and it was great!! I tried the French Onion Soup and also got wings! I never had their french onion before and it was awesome and reasonably priced. My wings were great. Im obsessed with their buffalo sauce. They have two options of where you can sit, a dining room or a bar area. We opted for the dining room. It was pretty empty when we got their but by the time we left it filled up!!! My friends and I went on a wing crawl around scranton, and every place greeted us with an assurance that they are the best wings in Scranton, but this was the only place it was true. It is hard to get something that has the right level of spice that kicks, but still maintains flavor, and the Asian Zest with Habenero hit that balance perfectly. Comments on COVID safety: this was my first time coming here since the pandemic started. Right now, only the bar side is open for dining and you must order food if you want to get a drink (as per PA state law). Mask on upon arrival and departure. Super divey vibes but completely sterile and clean, we watched our waitress sanitize our area before we sat down. I attached a picture of the rules they had posted at our table in case anyone was curious. Food: The buffalo wings at Zaleskis are what have been bringing me back over the years and they really never disappoint. Their sauce is on the sweeter side, so I usually order them Hot (flavor wise). I swear I haven't tasted anything close to what their sauce tastes like anywhere in Scranton, it's truly unique. Tonight they came out piping hot with a perfect sauce and crisp ratio. Another item you can't go wrong with on their menu are their subs. Zaleski's has my favorite wings in Scranton thus far. I've been trying to go to the restaurant for months but each time we tried, it was closed - definitely check the hours or call before you go. We went to this place on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy. We were hungry and wanted to try a variety of dishes. We ordered regular fries, volcano fries, several orders of wings (including honey mustard, BBQ, classic hot, and the Caesar garlic), and a cheesesteak. The volcano fries were da bomb dot com. They were spicy and crunchy and gooey all at the same time. The regular fries were also good - crunchy without being too thin. The wings themselves are crispy and amazing. The Caesar garlic sauce was our favorite but the classic hot were good too. The BBQ and the honey mustard were just alright - the sauces were a little overpowering for the wings. The cheesesteak was good too. We asked for it without onions and they accidentally included them; our server noticed before she even brought them out and took it off of our bill, which was very sweet - she gave us the option to have it remade, too. I went here specifically for the wings. Were they "the best" I've had? No. But, they were very tasty. I got the mild and a side of fries. Yea, I know...real healthy. The wings were really crispy. Four of us went to The Clubhouse last night because of the wing and draft beer specials. The specials weren't anywhere on the menu that was given to us so we relied on the internet for information and prices. The beer was "$1.50 Yuengling Lager drafts" and the other special was "Combo Special (2 slices of pizza, 10 wings, an individual stromboli with marinara sauce, and blue cheese & celery) $12.95". Well, that's what the four of us ordered and everything was great except for one thing, the prices changed. The beer was $1.75 (which is still a good deal) and the the other special was around $14.00. We were charged depending on what kind of hot wing sauce you ordered. That didn't make any sense to us so we asked our waitress to ask why the discrepancy in the bill. We never got an answer on why we were charged so much. The owner wasn't there to answer our question. If you are going to raise your prices, please correct your on-line menu and post your specials somewhere in the restaurant with the prices. By the way, our server did an excellent job, our beer was cold and the food was good. We will probably go back. read more

They deserve five stars. The Zaleski family is hitting some key points when running a business. Most importantly, the feeling of love you get from Mrs. Zaleski and her wait staff. I've been going to Zaleski's for years. Everytime I go to Scranton, we go there for the Steak and Cheese, and all my friends there meet me because they know its my favorite. I've told everybody, the best Cheesesteak is not in Philly, but its in Scranton. I drove from Jim Thorpe last Wednesday for a cheesesteak. It was mediocre. It had about half the steak and half the cheese that it used to have. I thought maybe it was an off night. Other people sitting at the bar heard me talking. They said that they (Zeleski's) had cut way back a while ago, others complained the drink prices went up. (I drank beer and it is still really cheap). They agreed it was still the best place in town for wings, but other items in the kitchen (like the cheesesteak) had gone downhill. Too bad. I'd have rather paid an extra buck to stay with the old cheesesteak. Order something else if you go. I won't be back. read more

If you follow me on yelp you know that I LOVE me some dive bars. So what did this girl do the second she got to Scranton? Yelp for the closest dive bar of course! This spot did not disappoint! I was with a big group of friends doing a quick pocono ski trip and man oh man did we enjoy the delicious amounts of fried food served up here. The cheese toast was probably one of the most delicious single pieces of bar food I've ever had. It is dangerous people! (I felt like I was cheating on my PJ Ryan's cajun fries obsession!) Yes, it's cash only (with an ATM), and it can sometimes take a while to receive your food, but it's absolutely worth it. Why, why, why did you change you wing recipe? They used to be smothered in you homemade wing sauce and now they seem to have a dry rub on them. They are dry and I think that they are overcooked. This was not a one night thing, I had wings there about 3 weeks ago and they too were dry. It is still my favorite place to go and I will try the wings one more time and ask for sauce on the side, I'll update my review when that happens. The food is actually well above average. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. Only thing that really holds this place back is the ticket time. Over an hour and a half for food you have to fry (on a non-wing night). This place has turned into somewhere you go if you aren't busy and have 2+ hours to kill with your buddies. Absolutely the best wings in the immediate Scranton area, without a doubt. They aren't like the usual soft, greasey wings that most places have. I always get them "hot" and the sauce/seasoning is peppery. I don't think I've ever had a "small" wing there, even on wing night. Always loaded with meat. As mentioned, they do not accept credit cards and you will have to wait on wing night (Wednesday). Also, you can get them as takeout without a noticeable decline in quality. I called yesterday for a reservation and it was gladly taken by a girl. It was for three people for 8:15. When we arrived, we were told the place does not take any reservations and she could not imagine who would have told us otherwise. She said our only choice was to wait for a table to open. They clearly advertise that they take reservations, and after driving twenty minutes to get to this place, I feel the owner should have been able to make an effort to accommodate us, being it was clearly their mistake.
