Coopers is more than just a restaurant -- it's a local icon. The moment you walk in, the nautical décor and walls filled with old photos and keepsakes tell stories from its 70+ years in the neighborhood. My husband, who was in town for a high school reunion, even spotted two of his grade school photos on display -- such a fun surprise and a trip down memory lane. The food lives up to its reputation for fresh seafood. The Crab Pretzel was warm and loaded with creamy crab and cheese. The Crispy Sesame Brussels Sprouts were a great twist -- perfectly crisp with a sesame glaze that really worked. My husband's Cedar-Planked Salmon was tender and flavorful, and my Seafood Crêpes were rich, creamy, and generously filled with chunks of shrimp, scallops and lobster. Even during a busy dinner rush, the service was friendly and prompt. Coopers has that rare mix of history, good food, and genuine warmth that makes you want to come back again and again. There's even a World map showing where visitors have come from!

Cooper's is so iconic! It was a treat on this visit. We came for half price bottles of wine on a Wednesday. THE FOOD -alligator bites are a must have. They are so delicious, almost like a white fish taste and chicken consistency. We loved the remolaude they were served with. I think in the past they've done a buffalo sauce special of them as well which is just as good! And of course you get your gator taster pins -the fries are very well seasoned! We were here for a casual wine lunch (lol) and enjoyed splitting these two apps. THE DRINKS -in the summer on the patio it's always fun to get one of their speciality cocktails (tho many tend to be sugary, so be warned) today we were here for wine! -we chose a lovely bottle of Pinot Grigio that came out to maybe $11 after the special? Was great with our gator and fries. -they also had a wide selection of other wines and beer if you're looking for options! THE SERVICE -our server was super sweet and attentive! -she was knowledgeable but when I had a question she didn't know the answer to she made sure to ask the kitchen for me THE ATMOSPHERE -like I said, iconic. You're greeted by a shark, multiple pirates, a huge lighthouse, and an octopus overlooking all of that . -the different themes all around the restaurant and historic things to look at is incredible. You can have a new experience every time you go! As a kid I used to love looking at the little figurine displays inset in the walls and as an adult I still have to walk down the hallway and take a peek at the Flintstones. Overall, I will definitely be back as we really enjoyed our food (and I converted my friend to a gator eater!). I feel like quite a few years back the food seemed like it had gone downhill, but I can say with confidence my last few visits I over the past 4-5 years have definitely been delicious. Way to go, Coopers!

Who would have thunk a great seafood restaurant in Scranton, PA?! The French onion soup was excellent, the salmon was cooked perfectly and fantastic beer menu. Finished w delicious rice pudding. Bar tender Mario was very attentive yet not overbearing (he was so busy, especially for a Tuesday night!)

Sure, Cooper's is mentioned in The Office, but the seafood there is LEGIT! Went there for lunch today and ordered the special, which was a bowl of Maryland Crab Bisque, six fried shrimp (perfect) and a solid lobster tail that I'm sure was fantastic, but I didn't get to try it! Shrimp, fries, soup, and cole slaw was too much to eat, so I figured I would take it to go and eat it on New Year's. Brought the lobster tail back to my genius daughter's house, who said "Leave the food on the porch, it's colder outside than in the fridge." Bad idea. A racoon got the lobster tail, before I could save it. I'm sure it would have been great. Hope that monster enjoyed it! Other than that, great place, cool atmosphere, affordable prices, nice vibes, great beer list! They even had an acoustic trio going from to room playing tunes. They also had a retail seafood market sale today that ends on 12/31. Bought some great-looking crab cakes which I hope to eat on New Year's Eve. They will most definitely go into the fridge.

We chose Cooper's for dinner primarily because of their ties to The Office and we were glad we did. I chose the fish of the day which was Haddock. It was served broiled with your choice of two sides of which I chose broccoli and a garden salad. Husband had the fish and chips. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The veggies were fresh. The Haddock had a nice flavor. The fish and chips were light and not greasy as they sometimes can be. Our server was fantastic. So friendly and helpful with the menu. The vibe was sort of supper club, sort of out of this world. With vignettes throughout (including Star Wars, Flintstones, and GI Joe), a toy train that ran along the ceiling, a lighthouse that was part of the architecture, and, of course, an Office gift shop, there was a little bit of something for everyone. Nice stop plus we got a map of other Office locations we can check out before we leave Scranton. So fun!

We haven't dine here since we are already full but we roamed around and was very interested and occupied by their frames by the wall and collections! They have the office gift shop. Ample of parking, accepts credit/debit, high chair available. See images for reference

I just went because I love the office and I was near the area the gift shop was my favorite part they had so many unique things to purchase that I've never seen before! Definitely worth checking out as for the restaurant I Had to wait quite awhile to be seated and it was just me the food was 6/10 I got a cheeseburger wouldn't get it again tho price was decent at 15$ There were lots of things to see as you walked around all kinds of different trinkets on the walls

Excellent place to spend a Saturday, on their deck. Very good crab cakes, and soft shell crabs. Extensive beer choices, too.

Best damn seafood place I've ever been to. Place is awesome , food is on the money wow worth every penny. The facility is beautiful. The bathrooms are beautiful. The staff is absolutely amazing. Their service was quick. The prices are reasonable. I drove an hour and a half one way from New York and I'll do it again very soon. Worth my time driving. Thank you

This place is awesome. Not only for their great food but it's like eating at a museum. Our server was on point and the place is so cool Would definitely drive 2 hours again for this place

This is among the first results you'll see for restaurants in Scranton. It's easy to see why. (The Office connection is cool but there's so much more to Cooper's.) From the moment you first see the restaurant from the street, you know you're in for an experience. Great decor outside and in. And the Office gift shop and other references are a nice bonus, as you'll often need to wait to be seated if you're coming here during lunchtime. It's a neat little store with cool things to look at for those Office fans. I had the Halibut. I don't normally get fish but I gave it a try and was happy. Seasoned well and nice texture. I'm sure it's one of many great choices on this menu. To sum up, this place is a must visit.

Tons of events and trivia in their schedule for folks looking for a night out on weekdays or weekends. The interior is mildly psychedelic with music. The food was fine. We got the burger and nachos. I was between giving 3 and 4 stars. Service was slow but the venue was busy, there was an event, and the night crew was picking up when we were there. The buffalo chicken nachos were fine. We appreciated the crispiness of the tortilla chips and the excellent cheese sauce that was well-distributed on the chips. There was tomato among other veggies that I do not remember. The chicken was fine for me on a cut. However, it had the texture of boiled chicken which I wasn't a huge fan of. Still had to get my protein in. I really enjoyed the burger. The bun was a soft potato roll. The patty was a little cooler. Between a cold burger and soggy nachos I certainly would choose the cool burger. This was made up for with the large volume of burger that was deliciously crispy. The pickles accompanied the burger with a secret mayo-based burger sauce. If warm, it could be a 5/5 burger. Overall, the experience was fine. I would go here on a week day rather than 6 on Friday, though.

I would say that this is probably the best deep dish pizza that I've tried in a while and I used to live in the Midwest. The crust was super crunchy and very buttery, which is great. You could definitely taste a jar of the cheese on the side and the crispiness of the bottom of the crust not only that, but I felt like the toppings were just amount of flavor. There was onions on there. There was corn on there. It just felt very very hearty. it's definitely heavy dish but it hits a spot if you're looking for a deep dish pizza they did it very well. The service was slow, but once we were greeted our drinks and food came out quickly. The inside is spacious, it's in an old building dating back to the mid to late 1800's. The high ceilings and metal work inside gives an old industrial feel. The menu had a lot of tasty choices and the beer menu was fantastic. The list of the handhelds/sandwiches is too long to list, but I could have ordered any of them. They have over 100 small and large craft/international beers in bottles or cans and around 20 taps.
