We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

Ohhhh yeah did I mention Justin the sales guy called the manager Lee and they promised to have it done in 12 weeks/3 months top! But at the 4 month mark, they claimed to not know about their promises and still have yet to complete our project. Don't make the same mistake we did, friendly they are but a book of excuses is all they have given us thus far.. hopefully management will call me and help get it done.... this year???? Update: February 6, 2025 got a call from Nathan before 8am this morning, he was told to call me by his dad, Lee the boss. I was contacted 2 other times prio by the new office handlers who originally told me they would only help if i took down my original post which i did not agree too as Lee pionted out the problem and told me himself he would take care of it before they finish. So they could not help me as they had just started and all my complaints were prior to them starting and was told Lee would contact me, no contact was ever attempted by Lee to us. ( when they first came out to dig lines, Lee pionted out my power line which the wire came off as it was not fastened and unsafe as I had animals that could get stuck or pull my main line out all together, he said it was unsafe but never took care of.)Since my business with Safe Haven Solar, I had to reach out to PG&E and finally got it fixed by PG&E myself. My biggest complaint is poor communication and lack of accountability. Now you can add intimidation! I would give them no starts at this piont but gonna keep the 1 star so everyone can see the truth

Though it was a simple fix that i should have figured out on my own, after a number of calls to other solar companies, Tim responded quickly and made the process much better and more affordable. I realize that solar companies are in the business of selling panels and batteries to make a greater income, so coming out for a minor fix is even more appreciated. That said, Magic Sun is now my forever "maintainer" and go to for solar or battery issues.

Extremely dissatisfied with my pool solar install by Magic Sun. I did not realize Magic Sun sacrificed the quality of my pool solar to sell me more electric solar... not cool. The pool solar is totally useless, does not produce any heat, when I asked for a review I was told I would need to cut down my (4) Birch trees (very delicate branches) in order for pool solar to work. This was not suggested or shared when installing the solar, perhaps they knew that would be a hard no. I will need to have new pool solar installed and repair my new roof. I am floored that Magic Sun could not manage to provide good pool solar and add enough electric solar to satisfy their profit. 1 star is being generous.
