So my computer was delivered to me with a problem that I wasn't aware of until owning it for 2 years. It was partitioned wrong. I had no clue what a partition was until my computer told me that I couldn't download anything because I ran out of memory. I took it to Zap Computer repair and they totally took care of me. First off these people are friendly but in my opinion they do not know how to run a business. After calling to see if they could repair a broken hinge assembly on my HP DV-9000 I was told they would have to see it before they could give me an estimate. So no problem I dropped it off with my business card and asked for an estimate only before they touch it! I have other HP computer with this problem and I could of easily found someone on ebay to fix it. I just did not want to tie up my work computer for 2 weeks. So three days later I finally receive a call from the owner of Zap computer that my computer is fixed and the cost is $125.00 dollars.... Wow what happened to my estimate? No answer whoops ... Our bad .... First of all this is a six year old dual core computer and probably only worth $100.00 dollars.. What really chaps my hide is they did not even order any parts they just glued it... Well it worked but we will see for how long... Then I had to ask for a receipt on top of everything else... No break down of labor or material costs? This repair should of cost no more than $65.00 dollars... Be prepared to get screwed sideways from them.... I won't be back anytime soon.... BEWARE!!!!! read more

My first visit was good and customer service was professional, i got my computer back in a few days and it worked well for a couple of weeks, not freezing. I was told it jusy needed a new hard drive.Then it started freezing and having similar issues so i took it back and they checked it out and said everything was working properly. After several months i kept having similar issues and took my computer to another repair shop close to my home that my son recommended and told them a new hard drive was installed by ZAP several months back, after servicing my computor i was notified that the hard drive in my computer was the original drive from 6 years ago when i bought it new from best buy and that it needed to be replaced. When i called Julio he became very defensive and denied everything. The money was not the issue, it was the initial deceit, will never use them again and found a new repair my son has used many times. read more

This place is awesome! If I couls give more stars I would. I dropped off my desktop because it was randomly shutting down, and they were very transparent about the steps tahat they would take and even offered suggestions on how to prevent future problems. They gave me a call before they did anything and gave me a very reasonable quote explaining how they came up with the price. I am a business owner in Whittier & had my computer crash last week. What a nightmare! I bought a new computer to replace it but my old hardware had parallel & serial ports that weren't able to plug into the USB ports on the new computer. Apparently I needed to install a card adapter? Don't know what buttons I push but I'm always doing something to my computer. My husband is on his computer as much as me and nothing ever happens to his. Julio is honest and has reasonable prices. Julio and his team save my a$$ again. About 4 years ago, I brought him my desktop that had been fried during power surge and he fixed it! It's in my home office running perfectly today. So when my laptop decided to take act up, I knew where to take it. I brought it to Julio and he advised me that my hard drive was pretty much dying and I was lucky that the computer was still booting up. He walked me step by step on the best case scenario if he was able to clone the drive and what would happen if he wasn't able to. Im pretty knowledgable about computers but I couldn't figure it out. Julio checked it out and said I had a faulty Drive. This is what he did for me: Inserted a new and faster drive, removed windows 8 and reinstalled windows 7, backed up all my valuable pics and documents, cleaned it out, installed some new programs and virus protections, and tweeked it to run faster. My windows computer locked me out and I couldn't log in. My mom and I took the computer to his shop at 1pm and he had it ready by 3:30pm.
