They admitted to cleaning the Motherboard and connectors with "solution" and then called me to tell me that there was a "Fried" connector and told me I now have to replace the whole motherboard which will cost over $700 for a mistake that they did my computer wasn't fried when I brought it in!! The owner Luciano will not admit to his worker Eduardo's Mistake nor will he work on solving this huge issue. He told me to Gather Evidence and to take him to court because there is nothing he will do about it! So due to an accidental liquid spill, my left shift key on my MacBook Pro was getting stuck several weeks later. Figured I would clean it, which I did, and it started working like normal, then a couple days later shift key started acting up again. This time I could not login to MacBook with my password. Took it to Apple Store and it was the keyboard that was damaged...likely from a liquid spill which I did not tell them. Said repair would be about $900 and would take about 7-10 days to get back! That's like basically buying a brand new keyboard plus I use my MacBook for gigs and work. Decided to give SoCal Computer Repair Service a call. Brought it down, they were able to diagnose the same issue and would cost about $500. I immediately was a little hesitant but at this point - I decided to roll the dice, and so glad I did. Really nice guys, they come off as genuine and are very friendly. But the rampant unprofessionalism really tested my patience and understanding. They couldn't fix my device due to issues with thier seller and covid. Which 100% I get. The issue is everytime I came to their store the story changed. I'm not even kidding, first my part was coming in a week, then "oh turns out its two weeks because we got it from an Chinese seller" (even though when they purchased the part they specifically said they weren't getting it from a foreign seller due to how long it would take, I was with them when the part was ordered) Then I came back WEEKS later for an update (because they didn't bother to call me) mind you it's been 2 months now, and now the factory turns out, is actually closed!!! And they aren't shipping parts out anymore and this whole time I've waited for nothing, because they were literally just waiting for me to randomly come in to pick up my device because for whatever reason calling me to let me know I was wasting my time with them wasn't on their to do list. And this is where its almost comical, because when I picked my device up, the nice guy (no hate to him), spends a good 15 minutes rummaging through the store trying to find where they left my charger. I'm literally just standing there the whole time awkwardly as he's looking for my charger lol. And the cherry on top was when I brought it to another repair shop, the man immediately let me know, "you're missing all the screws at the bottom." I thought I could put epoxy over the back of the cell phone and it would be fixed... hahahhahahahah well long story short, the epoxy covered the back of the cell phone then leaked in to the volume control buttons and the power button hahahha.. needless to say my husband's cell phone didn't work anymore, so on the way to another cell phone repair shop we decided to stop here and guess what ..... they fixed his cellphone.. they didn't try to up sell us on anything, they are honest and told us this was a big if they could fix it and they did!!!
