My heart dropped when I pulled my laptop from my purse and felt some moisture. The water bottle I had placed in my bag wasn't closed tightly, and water leaked onto my precious expensive MacBook Air. I tried several techniques to fix it, but to little avail. I called Zap Computer Repair for a quote, and of the three places I called, the person I spoke to from Zap Computer Repair seemed the most professional and helpful. So, I drove a half hour to Whittier. The staff member greeted me warmly, and he checked me in quickly. Throughout the process, the staff kept me updated through texts and phone calls. I appreciated how easy it was to communicate with them. I picked up my laptop a little over a week later, and I was grateful for their early hours because I was able to stop in before work. The cost ended up being about half of what I was quoted by Apple, and that includes a new battery. So far, my laptop is working like it used to! If I could give more than 6 stars I would! They are that good. This is not my first time bringing in one of our computers. The first time was an awesome experience. They went out of their way to make all the things wrong with my computer it right. Now is running faster smoother and they removed a virus and all sorts of work that was slowing it down. Runs like new! THEN when we took my office computer in this week, what they did above and beyond was simply amazing. Here's what happened: I had done a System recovery instead of a System restore. Highly Recommend To start, I have my own tech that can assist me with my computer, however since I moved, I wanted to look for someone closer. I checked online and Zap Computer Repair came up and was really close by. I went ahead to the location with my laptop and spoke to Julio. I explain that my laptop would take a long to start and would get an error message. Ounce my laptop reach the main screen, again it would run really slow and wouldn't open any of the apps. It even crashed and the screen would turn black. Right there and then, he knew what was wrong with my laptop and explain the issue. I was surprised how quick he was able figure out what the issue was and what was needed to fix it. So I left my laptop with him and within 1 DAY.....1 DAY he was able to fix my laptop good as new! Not satisfied with this repair shop. My computer's cd rom was not playing right so I brought it in and they said they would look at it and give me an estimate. He said the examination would be free. 3 days later they called me and said my cd rom was not working. First of all I already knew it was not working thats the reason I brought it there in the first place. Then he gave me an estimate to replace it and said it could not be fixed. Replacing the cd rom cost as much as I paid for the computer so I told him I will just take the computer with me and buy a new one. Then he told me it would be $75.00 for looking at it when 3 days ago he said it would be free to check it out. I reminded him of that and he said he did not remember saying free and it was not in writing. Wow, some of these shops are just money hungry and not professional. Liars! Very unsatisfied! read more

AAAMAAAZZZING JOB!!!! I have an HP laptop im a DJ. my laptop started acting up shutting down on me and a BLUE screen will pop up. I HAD to DJ the next day on Saturday, called Zapp spoke with Julio and as a first time customer VERY well cusomer service first of all.! He did mention however it will take 3 days to fix my computer because of his pendings jobs already, he was soooooo nice to take my computer in that friday afternoon EVEN taking it home that night to SEMI-Fix the problmes so i can be able to DJ the next day, and of course dropping it off back on Monday to finish completing the job with more patience! I chose Zap Computer Repair over other repair shops in the region mainly based on the positive comments on Yelp. I was not disappointed. My laptop had suffered a disk failure. Julio was able to recover my more important files from the damaged disk. The disk was replaced and I provided Julio with an upgrade disk to move my computer up to Windows 7 from Vista. Julio did all of these services promptly and at a reasonable price. My new operating system resurrected the touchpad on my laptop Which I hate as an obnoxious nuisance. I found it more difficult to disable this and Julio referred me to Craig (Telegraph and Telechron) who obtained and activated a touchpad utility that allowed me to disable the beast. I stripped a really small screw on my AC Adaptor/Power Unit for my console and I called more than a dozen places and went to 4 different stores, none could do it. I came across Zap Computer Repair and they managed to take it out !! :) Im soo grateful that they managed to take it out and that they considered fixing my problem while some other stores said they couldnt even do it.
