    Inside waiting area
    Joel V.

Zap Lube was the first place I ever brought a car for an oil change, back like 14 years ago. I have been coming here ever since. It's quick, the wait to pull in your car to an available oil change spot is short, if any and overall a clean place. Not a dingy oily garage type place. Yes! They will try to cross sell and advise on a $99 motor flush. Just politely decline. Yes! They will have the guy changing the oil, under the car, show you how dirty your oil is because you haven't done a motor flush. Just politely decline. If you don't want to deal with that just go straight to the inside waiting area after pulling in your car. You will have a full view of your car from the huge glass window looking into the oil change floor. The cashier will advise you when your oil change is done. Do not expect great customer service from the cashier. She will be too busy on her phone or computer. But who cares. I'm there to change my oil not interact with the cashier. What I do expect is a 10 minute oil change while they check and add as needed, my tire pressure, brake fluid and windshield wiper fluid. I get a free car wash after. What more can I ask for.

The car still looked like it needed a car wash and it looked like they hadn't vacuumed at all.

The car wash was horrible, I paid for add ons that were not even provided. You ask for the manager, and you get the run around.

Would not recommend... employees don't do a very good job at cleaning. They also stole one of my mats and my iPhone aux cord adapter.

The technician was very nice, finished my oil change in 10 minutes, and even gave me a discount and free car wash.

I came in with a slow leak in a tire with only 2,000 miles on it that I'd purchased here 4 months ago. I was immediately told it couldn't be repaired and that I'd need a new tire for $350. When I pushed back and mentioned I had just bought four new tires from them recently, suddenly the story changed to "we totally understand, we'll patch it up and you can be on your way." If the tire was patchable all along, why was replacement the first recommendation? This felt less like an honest assessment and more like testing whether I'd just accept the upsell. This isn't isolated either. On a previous visit, my wife was told she had a serious alignment issue that was "super unsafe." Tesla had just completed routine service with no such concerns flagged. Between these two incidents, it's clear there's a pattern of pushing unnecessary services on customers who might not know better. Quick service means nothing when you can't trust the diagnosis. I understand shops need to make money, but building long-term customer relationships through honest recommendations would serve them far better than what feels like exploiting people's lack of knowledge. I won't be returning, which is unfortunate because the speed and convenience would otherwise make this my go-to shop.

Then another worker came out from nowhere, a manager I believe, who would not provide his name and told me they couldn't plug my tire. I told him I've been here before and had the same tires done here but he refused me service. I had no issue with anyone. Very bizarre experience to turn away business and for no reason other than he didn't feel like doing the work? I would love to just be able to pass up money-making opportunities like that. The manager must be doing very well for himself. I asked him to not insult my intelligence and instead of lying saying he can't fix the type of tire l've had done here before to just be honest and say he doesn't feel like doing it. I have a call in to the owner, Lupita. Hopefully she can resolve this weird and unpleasant experience. For now, a place I used to like and think was reliable I would now say don't waste your time coming here. Go elsewhere..

They fixed it with a brand new radiator hose for $400. Shortly after that, a million different lights started flashing on my dashboard, with the indication that there was an issue with the engine. I brought it back, and they diagnosed my car with a broken intake manifold, which needed to be replaced with a brand new factory made intake manifold from the dealership. Another $1000. After replacing the intake manifold, they called me and said my car was ready to be picked up. I came to pick it up, turned on the car, and didn't even get off the lot before a loud noise started coming from the hood. My steering wheel was shaking and the whole car was bumping up and down. The problem was FAR from fixed and my car actually felt A-LOT worse. Begrudgingly, I brought it back the next day, and get this. They told me that they needed to replace a whole OTHER PART - brand new fuel injectors - for a grand total of another $1400. At this point, I didn't trust their judgement. You fix my car, tell me it's good to go, but then say "wait never mind we completely missed fixing $1400 worth of damages??" Hard to believe . SO, I brought my car elsewhere for a second opinion, obviously, and they fixed it up for just $450, a THIRD of the estimate I had received from Hudson Auto. I feel like they took advantage of me. I don't trust these guys. Neither should you.
