Told them about it they said they only get their inventory from authorized sellers and they could teach me how to spot a fake well I've been collecting for awhile so i know. They carry a lot of the big three (MTG, YGO, Pokemon) but they also have some sports cards and other IP's like One Piece, DBZ, and Star Wars. They also have some rare comics and collectibles like Funko Pops. Their rarer cards at the front desk are priced pretty reasonably but it well depend on the market & availability. Don't expect to find many booster boxes, ETBs, or starter decks here though. The staff is pretty helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. It feels like they know their regulars and I always feel welcome unlike some shops where the staff doesn't even look at you if they think you won't buy anything, or silently judge you for not knowing something. Even on their busiest days they check on every customer to see if they need any help. If you're into competitive play they hold events in-store pretty regularly and they also hold release events.

The same guy asked if another customer needed help while he was looking at my books, then when the customer started to answer he proceeded to pick up the phone and ignore the customer. Overall, waste of my time and worker had the worst attitude. Will not be going back.

There are several reasons why I would recommend another store like Zapp Comics or anywhere really. Several times I've been in the store and one or the owners berates and talks down to her employees in front of customers. It's really unpleasant to watch and is the main reason I don't shop there more often. The employees work very hard and the store is lucky to have them. They deserve more than being spoken to in a demeaning way. My advice to the managers try saying thank you more. The store has a lot of strange rules. The clerks have to put the comics in bags for you. The cashier and the clerk physically put hands in the books during checkout. Zapp comics lets you grab your bags and boards, treat your comics well, and pay for them at the end. It's a great system. There is an incentive reward program. Ok that's great. You get joker bucks when a certain amount is spent. When you check out and use them, you get an earful on how you should trade in smaller denominations of joker bucks to make it easier for the store. Not fun. The store is also dimly lit and has a depressing overall atmosphere.

He would count the number of books, and announce to the woman/ owner at the register "9 books." She would take them shuffle them so they were in price order. She would then punch the quantities into a 40-50 year old cash register. Hysterically, on three different occasions, they over charged me by like 2 or three books. The first time this happened, I didn't realize it until after she had swiped my car. When I said "hey you overcharged me," she offered me Joker Bucks that could only be spent in the store... Of course I said "um. no. Give me my money." She was insanely rude, claiming it was an honest mistake and I should be more understanding. This happened on two other occasions. If you go to this store pay attention to what they ring up. Bonus hilarious story. The Owners claim to Own the cover to the Preacher #1. That gave me a huge laugh.

Comic Relief is located in a small shopping center with an even smaller parking lot. Or it seems…read morethat way with the amount of traffic constantly entering and leaving. The store itself is relatively small, but then again, most comic stores ARE small. But do not be deceived, good reader. The number of books housed at Comic Relief is quite a lot! The owner is always courteous. But he doesn't say very much if anything at all. Which can be a good thing if you're an introvert, I suppose. :) Overall, this place is excellent for finding the latest releases and even hard-to-find variant covers. However, it's not the best for back issues or quality of issues, for that matter. If it hasn't come out within that same week, expect to find bent corners, spine ticks, and spine wear galore on most of the books. It's not that people are beating the books to hell. It's actually the racks on which they sit, which tend to be simple wire shelves with gaps in them, that the books fall victim to. The wood shelf system on the back wall is much more efficient. However, the way the books tend to be packed on those shelves can also give way to an epic collapse knocking several books to the floor in a matter of seconds. Yikes! And yes, I did see that happen on a number of occasions.
