The customer service from the managers very bad ! (THIS IS FOR THE STORE ON 214 NEWBURY STREET, BOSTON,MA The RATING is a 0 not even a 1-To bad they can't allow that to be shown. Zara doesn't deserve the 1 star- Well I will say the manager on duty is to show for that. (Well Zara should be proud to employ her) lady in particular she has blonde hair , I will find out her name and she either manages the customer service section as on the 1st floor desk down stairs she came from the back room, she doesn't wear the head sets but has the sales employees wearing theirs , I guess the saying goes "do what I ask not what I do) Hmmm. I had a return and if you cancel your credit card and get a new one they will not return it on the new card ,even if you have the receipt and in the valid return day policy. That's what i did I returned because I didn't want the top and she the manager heavy set petite sound like their something wrong with her speech, but she told me that I must go to my bank and get a printout showing that my bank cancel my old card and that is why I have this new card.( HOW STUPID).!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! first of all the credit card is same bank, and many people lose or their card expiration is old and you have to get a new bank credit card.I couldn't see that being a real policy.And why would I go to my bank and come back to the store and furnish a private document to her, What is she going to do make a copy of it and saved it, I did retail and although policy differ, their is no such policy that you must show your bank record that , you have new card.I feel a valid receipt and item with ticket attached , not worn and returning within their dates is sufficient. SO NOW YOU KNOW THIS MANAGER IS A CAPITAL-( BITCH ) AND A PRIZE WINNING ---------DOUCHE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she try's to show off in front of her employees , I am well dressed in store with my Louis vuiiton purse and , I am not stuck up as I have worked in retail myself and have dealt with cust issues and as a manager always helped them. We pay these people wage and if customers didn't shop as you can see with the economy , well no bonus for any managers , no raises, no nothing . This manager does not set a good example in front of her staff, This lady manager was enjoying and get's off pissing off customers and showing off her so called power to customers, IT would be different if I was a nasty customer or argumentative, as I have seen both sides in retail, but I as I said had receipt, ticket on item, my credit card was another one as I had lost the other. So I told her I was going to call corporate and then she calls herself, acted like she didn't see me, I asked to speak to the person on phone, she hung up and says"well we will return this item this time but next time you must show proof from your bank that you were given a new card. To-all the customers' (I am here to tell every customer you don't have to do that, as I said people lose credit and debit cards and sometimes your expiration expires, so when you return , the bank knows what your old acct was and there is no issue with you as a customer getting credited slower,everything is tracked . If you had a return say 30 days ago and got a new card, the bank knows to credit you from a new acct given,their not going to tell you that they will credit your old accct, That's stupid as banks are prepared for this, this isn't the 1800 years. See how much of a DOUCHE that manager was. So I get to return , I then decided to come back and return everthing I bought after that, and next day, she was there again and acted like real bitch, when I was asked by the sales why I returned , i said looking at that manager i don't appreciate how I was treated, and the manager snatches the recept out of the sales assoc hand. I dig in my bag and find my old card, and I called another manager on floor told her what had happened , she aplogized for the blonde lady , but I feel bad for the sales employee that she did that to, nobody should be treated like that. This manager is rude to customers and her employees, she is not the actual store manager she one of the managers , and she seems to be in charge of the refund desk policy, desk description med built wears her hair up, blonde, no makeup, wearing all black top/pants. I was told that the managers have to wear that . LISTEN UP CUSTOMERS: (if you have credit card or debit card and for some human reason you accidentally mis-place and get a new card sent to you, or if your card happens to expire and you get a new one ,you must have the same credit card to do a return from this ridiculous manager, I will call Zara corporate and get to bottom of this. Unpleasant and Racist Experience with Store Security I recently visited the Zara store on Newbury Street and unfortunately had a very disappointing and racist encounter with the security personnel. After browsing and leaving the store with my own bag (not from Zara), I was aggressively approached by a security guard who demanded I return to the store without providing a clear explanation. Upon returning, I was made to wait while the security guard searched through their tablet, seemingly for no valid reason. Meanwhile, I overheard another guard discussing with colleagues about misplaced merchandise, clearly not related to me. The assumption that I was stealing based on my appearance or ethnicity is deeply offensive and racist. This experience left me feeling embarrassed and falsely accused of something I had not done. The lack of professionalism and the racist behavior shown by the security team was completely unacceptable. I expect better treatment from a reputable retailer like Zara. I hope Zara management takes immediate action to address this issue and implements training to ensure that such racist profiling does not occur again. Customers should not be subjected to such discrimination and humiliation. read more

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Zara on Newbury Street, and I cannot stress enough how poorly this store is run. It's as if they've decided to operate with zero employees. The place was packed, yet I couldn't find a single staff member to ask for help. After waiting in line for 45 minutes--yes, 45 minutes--I was finally told I couldn't check out because I had too many items. Instead, they sent me to another line on the first floor, where I had to start the entire process over. To make matters worse, they refused to let my 6-year-old use the restroom. Imagine being stuck in a store for nearly an hour with a young child and being denied basic facilities. Completely unacceptable. The disorganization, lack of customer service, and sheer indifference from the staff make it clear that this location couldn't care less about its customers. Zara, you need to do better. Racist employee followed us around the store eyeing us and complaining about us making a mess in the store when we picked up just 4 items. Not to mention we bought 2 out of the 4 items we picked up. Then when we complained to the manager, she took her employees side and claimed we were following her employee harassing her. Be prepared to get profiled when you're in here and know that nothing will happen to the racism that goes on in there. The manager claimed people of color can't be racist. The most terrible customer service experience with customer service rep in Zara on Newbury. She asked to wait 5 mins until she finishes tagging, then we waited for 30 min (yes really) and checked with her, she screamed at us and said she wont service us at all, then checked out someone else. We will make sure this story gets echo in all social media sites and Zara learns what's happening in their Boston store. We will await to hear back from Zara corporate on the matter to see how much they care about their customers. read more

Great improvement over the overpriced Emporio Armani that graced this space for the last dozen years or so. I first went to a Zara in Spain about ten years ago, and have also been to one in Montreal. So glad there is a local branch, because you can get some great stuff at excellent prices. This Zara is especially well laid-out, and I got some great stuff for not much more than H&M prices. read more

I'm all about saving cash when possible, and a lot of the stuff here is easy on the pocketbook. The selection is spotty, though. Often the clothes in the window look really chic, but then you can't find your size inside on the racks, and sometimes the stuff just looks cheap. Very stylish still, and great for filling in your wardrobe or mixing with other better pieces you already have. read more

Just found out that Zara, which I used to love, produces Nazi clothing. Plus, the jacket worn by the first lady to visit children's detention centers. I will not be shopping at a Zara store anywhere from now on. I encourage shoppers to research the political views of their merchants at all times.
