While I did not feel pain, the basic eyebrow threaded left skin scars the next day. I have been to numerous threading salons and never had this issue prior. The staff was welcoming, yet the skill used on me felt as though a layer of skin was being pulled. Additionally, I noticed precise tools were used after threading. I did see my results with the mirror and tipped well for the single staff. This was my first time trying this particular brow bar. I'm very particular about my brows and I told the younger brow tech that I wanted to keep my shape and to keep them thick. Basically a clean up, she assured me that she understood but when she passed me the mirror I damn near cried. She made my brows so thin, and when I said something she said no I didn't they needed to be fixed. Today she was telling me how messed up they were and was like oh do you pluck them and i said no, and then she was like do you get them waxed and i said no, you do my eyebrows every time i get them done. So then she proceeds to do my eyebrows so rough, the skin under my eyebrows is messed up, and she kept poking me in the eyes with her fingers as she was threading. My experiences here always used to be positive but today was my most recent eyebrow threading and I will not be back. I sat down in the chair and explained I don't like my eyebrows overly shaped or thin, I like my brows bold. I was there for a clean up - nothing else. I also started to explain to her I have a scar through one of my eyebrows and hair doesn't grow in it, so go by the shape for each brow. She cut me off saying "I know, yeah I know." before I could even finish. Oh you know everything about a complete stranger's scar? Maybe she should be a psychic instead of threading eyebrows then because mine were painfully thin. I'm talking 90's thin and two completely different shapes. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for 16 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. After telling my threader that I like my brows thick and that I only needed a cleanup she did the complete opposite. She also reshaped one of my brows and they no longer match; I look suspicious like The Rock. She also cut me and broke my skin with the thread. She didn't offer me cooling gel and acted very nonchalant when I showed her my brows. My recommendation. . .walk past this place and spend your $10 plus tip elsewhere. read more

So the lady that works Monday now, I hate the way she just rushes through eye brows, and it's honestly so upsetting. The first time she my nieces and I it was alright but she didn't trim our brows AT ALL. I had to go to my friends nail salon to get it trimmed. And this past Monday I went there again. Would give this place 0 stars if possible. I went in, and there were two people ahead of me. The woman was on her cellphone, and we had to wait for her to hang up. Then, she spent about a minute or two with each customer. No one complained or said anything was wrong when she was done, so I figured it'd be fine. It was not fine. Luckily, she didn't ruin my eyebrows, but she did little to nothing to them. She did not clean up my eyebrows properly. I am not even particular about how they have to look! It is very disappointing to write an updated review that is the polar extreme of a previous positive review. This business has made a huge downward spiral in service since they were once a kiosk only and since my last review. For convenience I go here when I don't feel like going to my primary salon in Philly. For a few months now, I have been trying to work with the staff here but my most recent visit was enough for me to say NO MORE. My usual threader, Komal either does not work here any longer or is not here on the days I have been in for service. She was awesome at threading brows. Since I have been going to other threaders for my eyebrows for the past few months, I have noticed the inconsistency in the results of the service. At best my eyebrows were threaded from acceptable to mediocre. It is discouraging to get a service not kowing if you will or will not be satisfied with the outcome. So I tried another service, a Brazilian waxing. This was one of most horrifying experiences ever. If it had been my first time getting this service, I would have never gotten another one in my life. Wax was everywhere... my stomach, legs and to make matters worse, I had to assist the Esthetician in cleaning the wax off of me. She kept pulling repeatedly at least 5 times before she could remove a patch of hair. Clearly, I have no words to express my disgust. My most recent experience was underarm waxing with an Esthetician I had used once before who I wasn't thrilled with but not enough not to give her the benefit of the doubt. Well, all was going okay until I noticed that she had torn a piece of the paper used to cover the table before a customer lies down and placed it on the floor. As she finished spreading the wax under my arms, she would take the stick with the wax and drop it on the paper she had placed on the floor. YES, floor NOT trash can!!! How many ways can I say RATCHET.?. To add insult to injury, once done she asked if I wanted oil or soothing cream to apply to my underarms. I chose the soothing cream. She passed the tube to me to put it on myself.. WHAT???? I informed her that I was used to this being applied by the Esthetician. In my experience this has been the type of service that she was suppose to provide. Obviously, this feature is SELF-SERVICE here. I can't write another word about this experience. I just CAN'T! I will not be returning and can only advise others to make their own personal decision after becoming informed by reading ALL the reviews. My recommendation is training is needed in the basics of customer service and consistent results... read more

Horrible customer service! When I walked I the woman (Mona) was very rude, like I was inconveniencing her. Then she literally spent only 2 minutes doing my eyebrows and when I questioned a spot she missed, she let out a heavy sigh and said the eyebrow was too thin and she wasn't going to take any more off. When I went to pay and was leaving the tip on my credit card (she is lucky she even got a tip!) she questioned it and guilted me into giving her a 20% tip, she literally would not run the card until I said "fine, $2. If I could give this review a zero, I would, and it would be because of the poor customer service that my two cousins and I were confronted with. On the sign, it stated that they do henna for $10 and up so we asked the one lady that was working there how long the wait will be for a henna and she told us that she's very busy with her customers right now (for brow) and that it might be about 30 minutes. We figured that it's worth it to wait the 30 minutes so we did. As we waited, she told us to look up designs that we like and that she will give us prices and that when she is done with her current customer, she will show us some of the designs that she did on other clients. 30 minutes later, the lady is still taking other customers and has yet to show us her designs so we went up to her and asked her to see the designs and she gave us a range of prices for each one. She said that "for something like a dot, the price will be $10 but anything more than that will be higher." This was our first red flag -- you're going to charge $10 for "a dot?" Really? But we gave her benefit of the doubt since she was swamped with customers and showed her some designs that we were interested in. She mentioned that she would charge us $15 for our chosen design but that "it won't be the same exact thing from the picture." When we asked her "why?" she said "well I have other customers and the henna is going to take long, and it's just me working here. If we were two people than I would be able to do it fine but I won't be able to make the same design." This was the second and final red flag. How ridiculous! She made us wait 30 minutes to simply tell us that "she can't do the exact design" because she's short staffed? I would have appreciated her honesty if she had just been straight forward from the beginning rather than make us wait! Plus, she completely disregarded us as customers which is very problematic. The first rule of exceptional customer service is that "non-customers" (those who have not yet used your product or service) are still considered customers. Clearly this woman does not care for that. I wish I had told this to the woman straight to her face in front of all her customers, but I was so angry and shocked that I just walked away. I hope that other potential customers and hopefully the owner/manager of the store will see this. This is the third time I had a negative experience with this woman and this was the last straw. They key is to make sure you describe how you like your eyebrows threaded so they come out great. So far so good! I came in for first time and was waved over to sit on a couch by the only woman there. Turns out she was talking on her cell phone and continued to talk while she did everyone's brows. When it was my turn I stood up but she decided that she didn't want to do my brows and took the woman who had just walked in. I asked if I was next and she just sort of grunted and waved me to a different chair. I have been going to Zara Brow bar for about year now and I Love them. Now I will be frank, I am very selective of who does my eyebrows so that I don't play with. But overall, me personally their service has always been good to me. Eyebrows, chin, mustache, any unwanted hair you don't like ladies or gentlemen, their service will meet your needs. Facials are AMAZING!!! So relaxing that I fell asleep on the bed lol, and the prices for everything are affordable, so you will not be breaking the bank at all!!! After years of waxing.. I decided to have threading done about 6 months ago. I'm so happy I did. I will never go back to waxing if I can help it. And I love this place. They do an great job and listen. I think threading is a much cleaner look. No red puffy eyes after. And having to deal with the occasional burn marks from wax.. threading is the way to go read more

I go here for eyebrow threading. It's convenient. I've never had to wait and my eyebrows always end up looking on point. The service is ok - the employees don't go out of their way to be nice but they haven't been rude to me either. I can't beat the $10 + tip price and the buy 9, get 1 free punch card! I come from a family of thick, luscious, full brows however that gene skipped me. To top the shape of my brows leave much to be desired. This is why I was terrified anytime I would get my brows done because not only did the person doing my brows have the work cut out for them as far as shaping, I also don't have a lot of brow hairs to begin with. But Komal is magic! She has been doing my brows for years and somehow her shaping actually makes my sparse brow look thicker and fuller. I have been going to her for years and even let my brows go untouched both times she was on maternity leave. Not only is Komal skilled but she's also extremely professional, friendly, and inviting! First off, when walking into the place I was looked at like I had six heads. The blonde girl at the counter had her headphones in and I had to greet her by saying "How are you?". Anytime I have to be the first to greet the person who's working, I feel like that is bad customer service. Horrible service, Horrible work, and so rude! I have been getting threading done for 15 years now and I've never had an experience like this. First of all, when you arrive, they are rude and barely want to be bothered to get up and work. Then it took the woman 15 minutes to thread my upper lip , which should take a maximum of 2 minutes and it was still completely not done. when I went to pay, I asked for a receipt and they refused to give me one . So, I went to their main location upstairs where I was met by an even more rude person who kept talking in their language to the other person as I was having a conversation with her (it was pretty clear she was talking about me).
