The furniture and decor are not overly updated - but it's clean. They open at 3pm and they were busy out the gate. A couple old timers waiting at the door to enter. Drinks are cheap, staff and patrons friendly, couple TV monitors tuned to Golf or NCAA basketball. Seems like a nice community of people. They were planning on getting on a bus to go to the Casino the next day. They have a popcorn machine - and you buy it on your honor. .50 or so. I didn't see food other than small bags of chips, but I'm sure they host dinners on certain nights. One tap beer - Coors Light, but they are adding an IPA. The usual suspects for cans and bottle beers available. Most American Legion Posts are private and you must be a member or have someone "sign you in" - below their sign outside it said Public Welcome.

They were doing some moving around and remodeling the way the floor is laid out today. It was a little difficult to get around on my scooter. But they seem to be doing as a little disruption as possible for the customers enjoyment. I really do like come in here. The people are generally really nice. Every once in a while, they'll get a volunteer that seems to have his head work shouldn't be, but that's excusable. I still see your value in coming to this location.

Some of the "antique" pieces seemed priced on the higher side. Antique store prices. I also learned they operate as a food bank, which is a great way to give back and support the community. The way in which she spoke to my kids, her teenage staff members and me as a parent was absolutely appalling to say the least. Her attitude in person and via email was not professional AT ALL and I was disgusted by her behavior. I feel bad for her staff members who have to deal with that every day. I will not be recommending this camp to anyone and my kids will not be enrolling again. It's too bad it ended up this way, we spent a lot of money for my kids to be picked up crying everyday because of her.

Typically Lots of plant based options. You are required to volunteer every month Financially they really help you out! You're required to meet with a financial advisor and talk about your current situation and where you'd like to be and how you can get there. You're also required to take a financial course (I think it's 2 hours long for 6 sessions?) that literally goes through everything: savings, debt, how to's, traps, emergency funds, etc. it gives you a lot to think about and if you're starting from no where, it helps get you on the right track. David and Tina are incredible, they've taken the time to train me, support me, and make sure I always feel like I belong. Their energy sets the tone for the whole place. warm, inviting, and real.What makes this spot so special is the community. The people who come in, especially the regulars, are some of the most engaging individuals I've ever met. They care what your name is. What your days been like, They REMEMBER. these things. Being here has given me a sense of purpose and connection, especially within the recovery community, that I didn't even realize I was missing, it's a place where people show up for each other, and most importantly themselves.
