Had an awesome time at Zava Zone for our niece's 11th birthday. It's really a unique experience...kind of like an indoor Go Ape but with twists and experiences all it's own. They loved the slide where you get pulled to the top with levee and then released! The ball pit, rock climbing wall and dodgeball room were all hits. I think for the price it is a fabulous experience. Only complaint (and it's for the parents not for the kids so that's why I still have 5 stars) they don't have a lot of comfortable seating for the parents. They do have massage chairs (which are cool and I used) but you have to pay just to sit in them, or an alarm sounds! They do have a "parents lounge" w coffee, tea but you can't really see your kids from the lounge. Best part about Zava Zone is the kids can do it on their own without parents having to pay/participate like Go Ape. Parents can pay to participate if they want but it's 95% kids participating. read more

I was like whoa! And the children were like WOOOW! as soon as we entered. Right along with my children, I didn't know where to go first. We picked the upstairs obstacle course and because my kids weren't 52" tall; we had to head back on down to the awesomeness there. Trampoline basketball courts, diving foam blocks, dodge ball, gladiator balance bar, timed obstacles. For the adults that do not want to participate in the funastic times with the young ones, There's a comfy adult zone upstairs. This is definitely a sure hit for having a party or just to have some good active fun. read more

I went with my husband to check this place out and had a great time. About 1/2 the space is trampolines and other half is the obstacle course. Pro-tip: if you are going on the top-level obstacle course, you'll need 2hrs of play time. In between waiting and safety training, it must have taken at least 20 minutes. read more

We go to these parks to beat crummy weather & expend some energy. This place is a standout. Most of these places don't have enough staff supervision & kids are truly being unsafe. Hard to have fun when you are worried about safety. Not the case here. This is my top priority at these places I loved that there were a wide variety of things to do. Really fun. Although there are mostly kids running around and stuff this is a great place for people of all ages! I came here for my friend's 24th birthday and it was surprisingly more fun than I expected. What I liked the most was the staff. Everyone there seemed very friendly and informative. I forgot her name, but there was this one female worker on the second floor teaching us how to unhook and hook our harnesses onto the wires so we could navigate throughout the aerial stuff correctly, and she was really genuine and sweet. The aerial stuff is a little scary at first but rest assured the staff there make you feel very safe. There's even a "parents" section which is a large room full of couches and tv's. Also it's great that they have plentiful hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility. Anyways, all in all it was a sweet place. There's trampolines, rock climbing and cool mini ninja warrior things all over the place. I'd probably take my hyperactive nieces and little cousins here. read more

Great place for ages 5 to105. Staff is so friendly and outgoing (they probly love the place more then you do) Very clean...no smelly feet oder. I cant forget the yummy and healthy snacks(store....drinkks,snacks,headbands,shirts,even selfie sticks) Remember close toed shoes is required for all of the equipment, excluding the trampolines. Also grippy socks required bring your own the are cool about it and do allow. Or buy the cool zava ones for only $2.00. Had a blast and was able to experience what people from the ninja warrior show experience! Great place for kids to use up all their energy. They had several obstacle courses along with a trampoline zone, rock walls, and high rope obstacle courses upstairs. I wish they had something like this is nova, but I don't mind driving up to MD for this once in a while. read more

Summary: Interesting equipment but little or no instruction or supervision. Could stand to scale capacity down to a number in line with staff available/able to supervise. Was here with another parent and 4 boys (ages 9-12) on Columbus Day (a Monday), towards the end of the day. It seemed chaotic and overcrowded, probably because many schools had the day off. I found it poorly supervised and loud. For example, I did not see any staff on the high ropes course, but I saw young kids up there clipping in and out by themselves. (I didn't see any backup safety features such as a second harness or a safety net, if they failed to clip in properly. Maybe those were up there but since I couldn't see them I wasn't about to let my child go up there.) I was also surprised that helmets were not required for one activity where the kids jump from "stepstool" to stepstool, 20 feet up, while attached to a lower-body harness. It was unclear to me what, if anything, would keep smaller kids from tipping forward and out of the harness if they became unbalanced or dove too far forward, or keep an enthusiastic child from crashing headfirst into one of the columns. In the ninja course, kids were banging into each other or knocking others off the equipment in the lower course, but no staff were nearby to space them out or ask rowdy kids to tone it down. I saw kids jumping the final hurdle at the edge of the course, but it was too high or too close to the perimeter so they were falling onto the floor beyond the crash mats (so, the course might need to be redesigned to avoid such falls). In the foam pit, kids were jumping in willy-nilly, without checking whether other people had cleared the area below first. I didn't see any staff controlling the flow of kids through the activity. I have been on ropes courses for workplace events, and I have been to other play courses such as ClimbZone or SkyZone. All of those experiences struck me as having much better safety procedures & supervision in place. (e.g.: for the ropes course we were taught to check each other's gear, and to do a "squeeze check" on the carabiner before relying on it. At ClimbZone they fasten and inspect each child's harness before they let them out onto the floor. At SkyZone they have a staffer (or more) for each activity, and show a short safety video before letting guests roam around.) I don't think I will be letting my kids come back here unless it's practically empty (let's say a weekday, first thing in the morning), and I am prepared to get up there and inspect the equipment myself. The facility still seems new and sturdy but the chaos does not give me confidence that anyone is keeping an eye on safety. I wouldn't recommend it for kids younger than 9, and I'd suggest a one-to-one caregiver to child ratio. I definitely would not sit back and kick back in the lounge! read more

We took our 5 year old here to start the new year. This place is AWESOME. There is seriously something for all ages. My son didn't know where to start and was completely entertained for 2 hours. I had to literally drag him out of there. My husband also was in heaven. He bought a ticket as well and did the climbing walls. He was super bummed he didn't get a ticket for the upper ropes course-but that just gives us an excuse to go back and do it together. I attended zava zone Sunday april 23,2017 located in rockville to celebrate my little brothers birthday and had a fantastic time. We did not make a reservation, but we gathered his friends and family members as well. Mind you I'm 29 Years old had I felt as if I was 10 all over again. this place can make you feel like a kid again. My brother is 9 and my son that is 8 loved it, had a blast even thinking to do his birthday there which I am considering a lot. Prices are a little high and the two hours that we were there well i don't believe is enough time to get to do everything, I do believe a family package deal for a family of 4-5 should be allowed of some sort of discounts, and the rule of not bring outside beverages kinda harsh due to the fact the kids get thirst and want a snack after all the activity but you have to pay for the food and drinks provided by them which I get but what if i just wamt to give my child water or vitamin water that i can buy at the store for 3 bucks i paid 6 bucks, prices could be a better cost but what you going to do, so again if you do go expect to drop at least 80 on two adults and unlimited 2 hours play, and thats not including kids, But on the up scale its def something new and kids loved it other adults that came in enjoyed it and we are def looking to come back in a month Staff were great help, everyone was on top of there game, everyone had a good attitude and a great friendly environment, which is great to deal with, do I recommend zava zone of course I do definitely, I will tell you this I would rather throw my money at zava zone then sky zone big difference and so much more to get done activities are tones more fun. The concept for this place is fabulous but the execution is horrible. There is no supervision and no instructions to the kids. They encourage kids to use all of their energy which is great, but they don't give them any adult supervision or structure. The staff members that were there seemed more interested in flirting with each other than noticing that a kid had gotten hit on the face with a ball and his face was red and he was crying. Three of the kids we were with got hurt. It turned out ok but only because we took care if it and had to ask for ice while a staff person was standing two feet away. Took my toddler today, and he was free. Purchased grip socks for $2, which is about what all the places charge. His entry was free, so hard to complain about that. The staff was super friendly and forgiving- as the toddlers in our group ignored signs blocking certain areas. The facility is extremely clean, which gives me hope for surviving the winter months and all the germs that happen during that season. We will for sure become regulars! Paid $42.50 for my two kids for an hour. The place has gone downhill. There were four employees at the front desk with only one working to accept your money. They kick you out the second the hour is finished. My daughter was on line a few minutes before the hour was complete and the man wouldn't allow her to do the relatively simple course downstairs and said to her "ask your parents for another hour". The place used to have coffee/teA in the parent room and now charge "hostage" building fee for a drink. Won't go back. Save your money. read more

Took my son (8) here after he attended a Bday party here about a month ago. The place is okay the only issue I have is today 26 Nov 21, their bathrooms were out of service the entire time we were there. An hour and a half. When I went to go use the bathroom there were out of order signs on the door. When I went to the front desk and asked they told me the fire department was working on something and ALL of their bathrooms were out of order. I'm assuming there was no running water (nasty within itself). I thought maybe it's a short term thing ... however before we left I asked again and in addition asked if they had a deal with some of the surrounding businesses for ZAVAZONE customers to use their bathrooms but was told the entire area was affected by whatever the Fire Department was doing so none of their bathrooms worked either. This is a foul, this establishment serves food and you all have no bathrooms???? Where are people washing their hands???? The hand sanitizer stations are not the answer. Also customers were walking in and NO ONE was telling them their bathrooms were out and there's no where to use it. I won't be back here ... read more

This is a really fun place for kids and adults. You can jump, climb, go through obstacle courses, bounce and swing. The foam pits are fun and the apparatus that requires you to balance is intense and so much fun. It's great fun and a great workout too. read more

A good concept but way too crowded with no supervision. There seems no limit on capacity. At some point the dodge ball field had about 50 kids mixed of toddlers with large teenagers. No where near enough coaches around, and those around were not very engaged. During one hour, I saw three bad accidents that resulted in ice patch, blooding nose and lots of screaming. Although they say it's good for kids 5+, I don't see it being that much fun for anyone under the age of 12. Not much the kids can do unless they're over 50" tall -- and even some of that is only if they are way taller. Definitely better for teens and young adults. This place is AWESOME!! It is for kids and adults of all ages. I think the staff is awesome, friendly, and wonderful with kids. At least the ones I encountered. As far as the fellow who commented on the balls for Dodgeball being too soft, the object of the game is not to hurt someone or cause injury. Dodgeball is a pretty mean game when you think about it. Really trying to hit someone with a ball. The balls were plenty hard enough and all the kids there (and there were LOTS of kids) were having a great time. I have brought children from 7 to 15 and they all had a blast. Adults were doing it too, some with their kids and some with a small group of adults. Many of the activities are very challenging. With sheer determination my kids managed to accomplish their goals, often after several tries and lots of encouragement from the staff. If I could give it a dozen stars I would. The price is not cheap, but fair for what it is. Great place to go for adventure, challenging yourself, and fun! If you are an adult in good shape you should go on a Saturday night with friends. And if you have kids, get them to Zavazone. Even after 2 solid hours they did not want o leave. They were sweaty and exhausted, but exuberant. read more

I have to give this place a 5 star rating..it's big, with lots of different play areas. I especially liked the staff. While my 8yo daughter waited in line a bigger boy got in front of her. Zavazone is Awesome! We went opening day- but at night. They have ninja warrior style tracks, high ropes course, parcoure and a huge jump zone. It was challenging for all of us. Even my husband a big obstacle course racer struggled to finish the hardest course. We will be back many times. read more

Aug, 2016 The concept is great, the facility was clean and equipment was in great shape. The coaches were rude and not paying attention to their resposibilites. Instead they spent time talking and otherwise goofing off. It was bad enough the four 10 year olds I was with all noticed and commented on how awful they thought the coaches were. At first I thought I'd like to go again but as our time there went on I thought never again. Unfortunately the staff is the only reason this place isn't 5 stars. Update 1/2/2017 We recieved complimentary tickets and decided to give it another chance. There was a great improvement in the attitude and helpfulness of the staff. Our check in process was smooth, the coaches friendly, helpful and some were even enthusiastic. The facility and equipment still look clean, fresh and in great condition. We did go to the first 2 hour session of the day this time vs. the last, last time. Overall it was a great experience and we'd go again. read more

This place has gone downhill significantly in terms of providing a safe experience. They do not have enough staff! I saw 3 injuries in 1/2 hour alone. They used to have staff stationed at each activity to ensure the rules are being properly followed. One young man was doing just this and he got reprimanded by another staff saying he had to move around more and go to different stations. Meanwhile the first guy was the only staff member I saw actually keeping children safe! Other jump places while crowded at least still manage to keep a more safe situation. read more

I am having a terrible time reaching management about receiving my deposit for my daughter's birthday party, which never happened. I paid $260.88 for a party that was scheduled for April 18th (it is now July 27th). While the pandemic obviously shut down everyone's operations for a while, I know that they have had people in the office for nearly 2 months based on a phone call that I received. I have tried calling and emailing the Rockville office, and calling the Sterling location since May, but no one has gotten in touch with me to resolve this issue. This is incredibly unprofessional. I can understand that you cannot open to being people in, but as a business owner myself, I know that there is no way that you are not reading emails and checking voicemails. It has been nearly 6 months since I paid my deposit, and over 3 months since you were supposed to throw my daughter's birthday party. You are clearly not providing me with the service I paid for, and you need to resolve this issue immediately. read more

I had a good time When I visited Zava zone. I've only been there once and the day went I had the place all to myself so I got to try everything they had to offer. The one thing I didn't like was that if I wasn't familiar the obstacles I can see how an beginner can get hurt. Love this place. Wish they would Open one in Virginia. We've come here twice both times on a Saturday morning from 10 AM to noon and it's been great. Not too crowded. Lots of things to do. So my cousin was playing in the second floor and he got stuck we called for help and the employees were just talking to each other. In the first place in trampoline game a kid went for almost 10 minutes although the time limit was only 2 min. In the second floor there was a lot of people in one station there were a lot of kids who didn't know what they were doing and messed everyone up. We recommend this place only for kids over the age of 8 read more

Took my kids here for a birthday party and it's was a neat place. Apparently, they were closed because the party was mistakenly booked during their summer hours, by an employee. Well...not sure if the staffs bad attitudes were because they had to work after hours or that's just how they are normally. My daughter wanted to try the obstacle course upstairs and she did, but didn't get very far. It's somewhat intimidating for a 6 year old but otherwise pretty cool. Complaint there is the two employees or shall I say "coaches" who were supervising the course. My daughter was having trouble unclipping and I'm looking at the coaches to see if they'd budge to go help here, NOPE! One female in particular was in sloth mode leaning on the railing with a balled up fist holding her head up. The male "coach" then looks at the female and he rolls his eyes, mumbles something to her then makes his way out to help my daughter. Thanks "coach" but if you're going to be rolling your eyes at my kid, I'd rather not have her on there. Shortly thereafter, I told my daughter to come off the course since clearly the coaches had zero interest in helping her out. Here's a tip...if you don't want to be at work, or are just too darn lazy to help smaller kids out, FIND ANOTHER JOB!
