I placed and prepaid for an order at the Zaxby's on Flat Shoals Parkway. When I arrived, I discovered that the dining room was closed. I called the restaurant to ask if someone could simply bring my prepaid order outside for curbside pickup. Unfortunately, the manager on duty refused to speak with me. Instead, I could hear employees in the background, and no one was willing to address my concern directly or offer a reasonable solution. What disappointed me most wasn't that my request couldn't be accommodated--it was the complete lack of professionalism, courtesy, and customer service. A simple conversation or polite explanation would have gone a long way. We try to support businesses in our local community, and experiences like this make that difficult. Today I had such a positive experience that I had to leave a review. Normally, I dread going to this location. Most act as if they don't want to be at work, and the lines are usually long and slow. BUT today was so different. The sun was shining on all the workers, and the line was not long. The gentleman named Jayln took my order. He was a ray of sunshine. Drive Thru Only! The dining room is closed but they are running the drive thru as if they have a million customers inside. People are literally driving off and I do believe this is what they want. They are super slow, I just spent 30 mins in line waiting to give my order and about 10 mins waiting to pick up my order. I witness at least 8 to 10 cars pull off because of the wait. I went to Zaxby's to pick up the order and when I got to the window I told the cashier that it didn't take off one of the meals, he got the manager a younger girl and she smacked her teeth then said tell her to pull up. Listen.........if my kids didn't want Zaxby's and we weren't driving by, I wouldn't have stopped here. Poor service is an understatement. There seem to be plenty of people, but their attitudes leave something to be desired. The young lady at the counter, who is dressed in jeans and wearing airpods in her ears, is rude to say the least. She sighs heavily when being spoken to and all around has a horrible attitude and doesn't seem to want to help people. The line is always wrapped around the building here because this is the only Zaxby's in the area. They have signs in the parking lot that direct you to call when you arrive and someone will bring your order out to you. Well, those signs are no longer valid. They just haven't removed them. When I went in, the cashier was talking with coworkers and completely ignored me. I literally had to step up and clear my throat. I ordered the Big Zac Snack meal. I typically pass Zaxby's but for some reason I stopped. BIG MISTAKE. Zaxby's located at 4805 Flat Shoals PKwy, Decatur, GA 30034 fraudulently used my credit card to make Amazon and doordash purchases after not giving the credit card back upon the completion of my food purchase order. My card got left because of an error a cashier made. She charged me for someone else order by mistake. Ok no biggie she gave me the difference in cash. After waiting even longer I got my food and left. I realized the next day going to get gas I didn't have my card. Immediately logged into wells fargo to lock my card and noticed a purchase for $261.80 at Amazon and 44.35 to DoorDash pending. I hadn't spent anything since Zaxby's but someone employed at this establishment did and wow the audacity to commit credit fraud. I called to see if they had my card and they said YES ITS HERE LOCKED IN THE SAFE. I contacted the police to keep the peace because I was heated! I had a Dekalb County officer escort me inside to retrieve the card. The store manager on camera and with the police gave me my card back. I did that to make sure there is proof of me being handed my card back during the same time the fraud occured by someone employed there. The card is on their premise and in their possession until I had an officer escort me to collect the card yet I have purchases on my card. I went ahead filed an official police report on this incident and will pursue legal action if necessary. This complaint process I am dragging them thru as of now will directly affects this individual franchisee, this will be their business rep on the line because I'm like a dog with a bone. The girl who took my order was obviously high as I tried to order a boneless wings meal and she looked at me like I was crazy. This location is a hit and miss. The customer service seems to be best for me when the guys are working. When the females are working they are too busy socializing and not paying attention to giving good customer service and the nasty attitudes are the worst as well. So I hope if you go to this location I hope you get the crew with the men working because that is when my order is done right other than that try another location.
