One of our favorite places to eat for breakfast in Dekalb County Decatur, Georgia (South side). This is the second location besides Candler Rd. We have eaten with this establishment for years now. The food is cooked to fresh and always delicious no matter what you order. Oh and their punch, you have to order! It is the best They also have good customer service and no matter how busy they can become, they still have the good service. This a take-out place. There is no dining in here.

Quick, delicious, and reasonable priced! I'm a new regular here. Can't go wrong with the bacon plate! I always get an extra side of potatoes because they r that good! Thank me later

Finally made it to Gutbusters today. I've lived nearby for over 4 years. I ordered the combo number 5 with bacon, cheese grits and fried eggs with a biscuit. The service was fast and it was in prime breakfast hours. They cooked the eggs fresh and the portions were very generous. 2 eggs, 5/6 pieces of bacon a medium size container of grits and the biscuit. All if this for just over $8..the biscuit was a little extra as it normally comes with toast. Everything had a good flavor and the the place looked clean. I will definitely be back again as breakfast is my favorite meal.

Called in order for Gutbusters ask for biscuit and fish and grits. Food did not come with biscuit and I tried to say that order was not placed for biscuit and did not want to refund me.. poor Customer Service whenever use them again.

The best Fish and Grits hands down. I love the breakfast burritos as well. It's a little busy so expect to wait for a little while.

I got their zataar bagel with the roasted garlic and chive schmear, and it was an amazing savory combo. There's only a handful of tables and a few bar seating, so I wouldn't say it's a studying cafe- more of like a grab and go or sip your coffee with bagel type place. Cashier was super friendly when I asked her recommendations. I tried their homemade lavender syrup in a latte. At first, I didn't think it was sweet at all and just tasted like coffee. But you definitely need to mix it with a straw. The lavender taste was lovely, sweet, and not synthetic at all. Next time, I want to try the orange creamsicle which is their seasonal syrup and comes with marshmallow foam.

I was also able to maneuver to the Rest Room with no problems. The establishment is meticulously maintained. No staff person is standing around, and all the stations are monitored. The staff is professional and communicates well. I actually had a good time window watching; also there are tables outside. Right next to Decatur Marta Station you can't miss it. Highly RECOMMEND!

Tip: come here at 11.15am, the breakfast crowd is gone and before the lunch crowd. We ordered the beinnets, they came hot, flaky and light, dusted with confectioner's sugar and a drizzle of light syrup. So good. You gotta try it. Our mains were the peach waffle and the early bird with a complimentary side of Parmesan fries. We added a coffee and a lavender special drink. The husband's peach waffle was small but was so delicious, he shoveled everything and was stuffed. "Too full" he said. I couldn't finish mine, the chicken was juicy and flavorful with just the right amount of seasoning. The matchstick fries were a lot. I took back half the chicken, the 2 round waffles, the other half mountain of fries. I had to consciously tell myself not to finish everything or I'll be too full to walk, or I might have to run another mile or two to work it all off. Overall, a great meal!

The sandwich was very wet and mushy but flavorful. The brioche bread (which is listed as homemade) was delightful. The tots were crispy and salted to perfection. On this particular Friday morning, it wasn't busy at all when I walked in, so I was able to order right away using the screen. I went for the Effin Chicken sandwich, which features a fried chicken breast topped with cheddar cheese and effy sauce on a warm brioche bun ($9). I also got a cinnamon roll ($3.75). The wait was short, around 5-10 minutes, and everything came out hot, especially the cinnamon roll. It was so hot that I couldn't eat it right away, indicating it was fresh out of the oven. Both the sandwich and the cinnamon roll were nothing short of amazing. The brioche bun elevated the sandwich to the next level. The size of the chicken made the sandwich substantial enough that sides weren't necessary. The combination of cheese and effy sauce was perfect; I'm not sure what's in the sauce, but it's delicious. The cinnamon roll was equally impressive. It was warm, with cream cheese that was incredibly tasty. The roll itself was soft and easy to pull apart, and each bite melted in my mouth. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I loved the aesthetic of the place.

Cafe Alsace is one such discovery that belongs on the radar of those in the know. Having been around since 1997 and founded by a French immigrant, Benedicte Cooper, this is one of the more unique establishments focused on specific cuisine of Alsace region. Spectacular liver pate. Incredible Flammekueche flatbread. Ridiculously inexpensive selection of great wines, up charged at 1.5x retail. I mean, where does one find deals like that in today's market? The patio has a couple pleasantly setup tables. Sadly, as with most Atlanta patios, it is next to the relatively busy road, but it is what it is. With all this said, Cafe Alsace is a real winner when it comes to a casual French meal.

I had the beef bourguignon for my main while my fiance had the ratatouille with sausage. Out of the two, the beef bourguignon was the favorite! We ended the night with a crème brûlée that was really good. There's a lot of character in cafe Alsace and it's a very cute place for date night, and I'd definitely come back if I'm ever craving French food.
